This is what Bo Nix is going up against tonight
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Made this as a film room thing for tonight. You're behind Nix's facemask for 4 plays: what Seattle shows before the snap, what he's reading, and how it plays out. The plays aren't real film, they're built from both teams' actual tendencies through Week 5. Every number on screen is real.
Why Seattle's defense is such a problem right now:
- 5.5 yards per pass allowed, fewest in the league
- a pick every 24 dropbacks, most in the league
- man coverage on only 16% of throws, also the fewest. It's almost all zone, so every defender is watching the QB
- they rush exactly four 75% of the time and still get pressure on 35% of dropbacks
What's going on in each play:
Play 1 is trips, Denver's most common look (48% of their snaps, league is 37%). Seattle doesn't change anything against it, they're still in Cover 2 or 3 on 76% of throws. Two high, corners squatting at 5 yards, so Nix checks it down. He's at 4.3 YPA vs Cover 2 this year and his average throw against it is 2 yards past the line.
Play 2 is bunch, which Denver runs about twice as often as the league average (16% vs 8.5%). One high, middle of the field closed, four man rush, and the pocket's gone in 2.3 seconds. Nix is at 3.9 YPA when pressured.
Play 3 is a run into a 7 man box. Seattle almost never brings an 8th guy (2% of runs) and allows 2.9 a carry with 7 in there.
Play 4 is how he beats it. 2x2, which is Denver's best passing look at 6.7 YPA, ball out on time to Engram in the gap between the linebackers and the safeties. Engram and Harvey have 154 yards on 23 targets against two high looks this year.
Worth noting Seattle is down two linebackers tonight (Drake Thomas and Chazz Surratt), which is exactly the underneath area Denver needs to attack. Denver's without Surtain on the other side.
Stats are through Week 5 so it's 5 games each, grain of salt. Disclosure: we make RotoBot, a sports data app, these are our numbers. Curious what Broncos fans think he should be looking for.

Hey, y'all! I made Broncos an artwork!
I have been working on NFL artworks this season, and Broncos time has come!
Also, I noticed there is a new logo being used this season, but at the time I made this (I'm a very slow artist) I had wrapped it up with the other logo because I wanted to make a similar pose. But eventually I'll open the files again to replace the logo if someone wants it for printing or something 😅
Anyway, hope it makes justice to the vibe of the team 🫡

I had the same injury as Bo. Some of you need to chill.
As the title states, I had the exact same injury. Different circumstances, however- I went through the same process and surgery. Same (probably way less quality) physical therapy and 100% can relate to why he doesn’t run as much right now.
I couldn’t walk for 3 months. Much less do anything else.
The fact he’s out there on the field and playing is awesome.
It’s been almost 4 years and I still have problems with my ankle. If I sleep wrong, my ankle will wake me up. I can’t run the same, I can’t swim the same, I can’t do BJJ the same, I can’t skydive unless conditions are good, I stopped riding motorcycles, stopped running 10k’s. Literally, it was a life changing injury for me.
Bo is out there crushing it. Give the dude a break.
Keep the faith. Broncos Country.
Bo brought us almost all the way to the Super Bowl last year.
Don’t forget that.

Lake Middle School TNF Parking?
Hi all! Today is my first Broncos game, and aside from SpotHero, Lake Middle School seems like the best parking option for me. With this being a Thursday night game, I wasn’t sure if that was still an option. Does anyone know if parking would still be available for tonight? Thanks!

Parking for tonight’s game?
Scored a couple tickets for tonight’s game. It’s my first Broncos game (and only my second NFL game ever). Does anyone have a parking pass available? I see recommendations for a nearby school and church, but wanted to see if anyone had a pass they’d be willing to sell. Thanks!

With matchup vs. defending champion Seahawks on horizon, QB Bo Nix and Broncos 'finding ways to win' amid search for improvement
r/DenverBroncos • u/sleeplessaddict • 8h ago
[Next Gen Stats] Bo Nix throws 10+ yards downfield on just 23.5% of his attempts, the lowest rate among qualifying NFL QBs. He now faces a Seahawks defense generating pressure on 44.3% of dropbacks, the second-highest rate in the league.

Game day advice
Looking for some advice on a timeline today. Won a pair of tickets and am taking my son to his first game. Our seats are in the Bud Light Champions and will be entering through gate 7, which opens at 315. Not sure if it’s worth entering the stadium that early for any reason. If it is possible to go down to the 100s and try to get autographs when we get in?
What time do the players enter the stadium? Is it possible they sign autographs by the fence?
Just looking for some tips and tricks to hopefully not look back on missed opportunities. There is parking at riverside church, which doesn’t open until 315? Was hoping to get there earlier at 1 or 2ish and walk around more. Any earlier parking spots first come first serve?

Had a friend make this for me for my man cave.
Told him I wanted it to look old and beat up like it had been around since this was our real logo. I'm really happy with how it came out.

[Kelberman]: Colin Cowherd compares Bo Nix to Mitch Trubisky, says "regressing" #Broncos QB has already hit his ceiling:
"Trubisky was overdrafted, and most people I talked to did not like him. Bo Nix, most people felt [was] overdrafted, but Sean Payton wanted to win and didn't have the draft capital to move up and get a Drake Maye or Caleb Williams. And so a lot of people saw him as a second-round guy."
"I think you see this a lot in tech where the software grows faster than the hardware. There’s upgrades [to] software. Sometimes hardware can’t keep up with it. And what do you do? You get rid of the hardware. So in tech, the software sometimes outgrows the hardware. And I feel like the defense in the NFL is the software, and Bo Nix is the hardware. And what do you do? You upgrade the hardware."
"I think the numbers are very clear — that the more the NFL sees of him, despite getting better weapons, despite unbelievable continuity, it’s regressing slightly instead of improving slightly. And I think his confidence is lost to some degree. But I think the ceiling’s been reached, and it’s the old software-hardware dilemma."
Thoughts on this?
