Really impressed with the Volume 1 Deluxe Edition for Wilson’s Ivy run. Really nice little detail on the dust jacket with the fungal parts of her body on the front and her eyes on the back having an extra glossy finish to them that catches the light. Lots of cool making of extras in the back as well. Can’t wait for the next one!

I want to get more into DC, which I’ve been doing by buying mostly some compacts. But I’d also really like to collect a current ongoing run in preferably trades. What do you guys think is the best ongoing run and what would you recommend for someone who’s fairly new?

I'll always appreciate whenever Young Kal/Clark displays tendencies typical to Superman & Mild-Mannered Clark Kent.

Day 2 for my try to have all 199/199

Now i have 50/199 and 6 duplicate.Also have a 5 holo stickers so amazing.

I'm reading New History of the DC universe and it clearly states that Maxwell Lord killing Blue Beetle in Infinite Crisis is still canon, but it never gives an explanation to how he's alive now.

I know that the real world explanation is that he never died in the post-flashpoint timeline. But now that the timelines are fused, how did Blue Beetle recover from a bullet to the head?

My name is Flexxtine on IG and this is my Hawkgirl build. It took me about 3 months to complete.

He has at least thousands of years of experience being a literal manhunter (New 52 says he is 225 million years old but newer canon won't specify)

J'onn can read the minds of everyone on earth, solving cases before Batman, Chimp and Tim can even mobilize, surveil suing his invisibility, phasing and telepathically erasing his presence if detected, relay information to law enforcement at the speed of thought (and his brain thinks FAST). shapeshift (thereby deceiving suspects), using his Martian vision to detect anything and, wait for it;

He has 9 SENSES! He can detect more than humans (or chimps) ever can.

Oh and he has limited telekinesis to mess with suspects by moving objects around like a ghost.

Martian Manhunter is the best detective on earth, now that he on earth and I will die on that hill.

Wanted to read Geoff John's Green Lantern run but decided to read the whole Parallax thing first. Got to The Spectre (2001), not expecting anything from a hero i never heard before starting this journey, and it ended up being one of my favorite comic books ever

Granted i havent read much, i'm still new to western comics. But even compared to all the manga ive read, The Spectre is definitely up there. Beautiful art by Ryan Sook and later Norm Brayfogle, and beautiful writing by J.M DeMatteis about Hal's journey in redeeming himself from the atrocities he comitted as Parallax, by helping other people in the world in finding their own redemption

I'll check out the original Spectre, though its definitely not gonna be the same because most of my attachment to the character is less to the spirit and more to Hal at this point in his life

And i'm kinda dissapointed to see his journey in that series seemed ignored in Rebirth, where the Spirit of Vengeance still exist even though Hal changed it to Spirit of Redemption. Also The Spectre just.. left. What happened to Minxx, his temple, and his niece???
