Supergirl(arrowverse look) Halloween costume fitting
Hi everyone, I'm just trying my new costume for halloween, hoping to actually work(never thought I'd say that lol). I do have the belt and cape that velcro to the dress, i was mostly just trying this first. I gave a wig and makeup I need to buy. Red socks to mimic the boots for practicality :3
Can't wait to reshare it š«¶

Discussion I just thought of an elseworld evil Supergirl that murders President Luthor and all his supporters on live television and then tries to escape the federal authorities by making a deal with a foreign dictator to protect his nation from outside aggression only, because she tells him she will not harm

Worst movie DC ever made Supergirl
Bad casting, very bad writing and I hope the rest of DCs movies are better .

Television For some reason Kara often gets paired with Jimmy Olsen in movies and TV shows
But the relationship either goes nowhere or ends so quickly. Itās so annoying.

Discussion Girl vs Woman
I had question I wanted to hear the communities opinion on;
what are your feelings towards Kara being Supergirl and not Superwoman
Iām aware of the difference of the characters and that there are Superwomen but iāve been having the discussion with my partner about the perception of having a Super heroine and female counterpart to Superman but sheās referred to as a Girl instead of a Woman, and if that perception is intentionally infantilising
Superwoman exists, and could exist even more, but theyāve made multiple movies and a whole TV series about Supergirl (where she is often a grown woman)
as an example Spider-Man typically gets his powers around 14/15 but heās instantly Spider-MAN, Whereas it seems more often than not Kara is Supergirl regardless of her age, besides maybe a couple alt universes
Thoughts?

Discussion Who gave us the most comic accurate Supergirl?
Iāve heard a lot of people online saying even though they like Melissaās portrayal of Kara, she is too much like a female Clark Kent due to her optimistic and hopeful personality. Kara is supposed to be more aggressive than Clark since she saw her friends and family on Krypton or Argo die.
What do you think?

Film Supergirl shouldāve had Mongul as the main villain
For the woman who has everything couldāve been a great story to incorporate for supergirls first appearance. spinning the for the man who has everything story from JLAS. That story and woman of tomorrow wouldāve made the supergirl movie on par with the Wonder Woman movie. Replace the generic villain with Mongul and tweak the story and it couldāve been a great movie.

Comics Gotta say, not looking forward to this Spoiler
I know that much like the power shuffling from Absolute Power, this almost certainly won't stick, but I'm really not looking forward to however long an arc of "Kara Zor-El just can't do shit"

Comics I thought I hated The New 52 "suit". I hate this one more.
Context: Sorry, I assumed everyone in this sub is more knowledgeable than me about the comics. This one is about the 2005 run, especially the first 19 issues.
I know the in comic explanation is that she's basically sun bathing the entire journey to earth. You're seriously telling me that her loving/genius father didn't consider packing some clothes for her arrival to a potentially hostile planet?
Also WTF are the first issues of this run? Her "relationship" with Boomer is just so gross and inappropriate. I'm heavily side-eyeing the entire "creative team" that made this. There's no way well adjusted adult men should be sexualizing a teenage girl like this.
Random question: If you buy single issues, how do you even store them?
