Advice Needed I need positive stories and reassurance. Low HCG

Here’s my timeline. First day of last period was 9/11. Estimated ovulation date is 9/25, also had intercourse on 9/27. I got a positive test on 10/9 14 dpo. I confirmed at the clinic 10/12 with urine test. Today 10/15 I had an ultrasound 4w6d which is early however there was nothing on the ultrasound, not even a dark little circle indicating pregnancy. So they did blood work and my HCG is 147 which shows I am in my 4th week of pregnancy. I am very concerned about the low HCG and nothing on the ultrasound. I was at least expecting something but no fetal pole because that isn’t shown until 6 weeks. I have my next ultrasound on 10/23 which will put me at 6 weeks to see if there is anything that develops. Anyone else experience this or something similar?

HCG @18dpo

**Correction, my HCG test yesterday at *17dpo* came back at 3355 and I’m freaking out. What is the likelihood that I’m having multiples? Can others share their experience with high hcg early on?

Today I am 18dpo, I’ll be testing again tomorrow at 20dpo!

Advice Needed Was hoping someone could relate to hcg numbers to ease my brain!

October 7 - hcg was 2 (9dpo)
October 9 - hcg was 12 (11 dpo)
October 12 - hcg was 84 (14 dpo)
October 14 - hcg was 206 (16 dpo)

I am nervous because I had two previous back to back losses, mmc at 7-8 weeks.
Both of them had numbers rising and doubling, but BARELY doubling. Numbers were low. So these numbers are scaring me even though all the calculators/people are saying “it doubled, it’s fine!” Because so did my losses 🫠😔
Most I see that had hcg drawn at 16 dpo, it was much higher than mine. I was hoping to at least be in the 300’s. I got my first faint positive at 11dpo. That means I implanted at the right time, correct? I’ve read if you implant later, it usually results in loss.
I hate not being able to be excited cause I’m so nervous! I go back for another draw tomorrow and am praying it has more than doubled.

Anyone have any insight to ease my anxiety? Thanks!

Success stories for low hcg levels

Hii everyone

This is my second pregnancy. First ended in a D&C with full molar in April.

Pregnant again and my hcg levels seem to be on the low end but still increasing above the threshold.

18 DPO - 70.38
20 DPO - 198.62
22 DPO - 365.98

I’m on 10mg progesterone x2 orally and 5mg folic acid. I started spotting brown and light pink around 14 DPO and stopped around 19 DPO but it’s really like pink here and there since I started the progesterone.

I’m looking to see if anyone had similarly low hcg levels which resulted in a positive outcome? Feeling really anxious about it but just trying to take it one day at a time.

HCG rise of 75% when under 1000…

Alright, so here I am at 41, pregnant again naturally after 2 miscarriages, an IVF euploid chemical, and 1-2 chemicals over the past 2 years. I had my HCG drawn at 13 dpo, which came back at 119. Two days later, 310. I was so excited because it more than doubled. With my second miscarriage, my initial beta levels did not double so I looked at this as a good sign. I insisted on another beta, came in four days later at 19 dpo, HCG came back at 930. I was hoping for a doubling which would have been 1240. I’ve been down this road before, I feel like the writing is on the wall. I know that everywhere you look, it says HCG can double within 48-72 hours, however, when you look at user submitted data on betabase, less than 10% have betas that take 60 hours to double. I know you can’t compare, everyone is different, but let’s be real here: this is doomed, right? I can take it. I’ve accepted that it’s over and am anxious to shut this show down so I can try again. It does get easier with each loss, I’m sorry to say. I’ve had all the testing, I’m on progesterone and aspirin. No symptoms of anything being wrong, I just hope if this ends (which I think it will), that I don’t go through the beta hell of watching it rise slowly before going down, getting to ultrasound and having a heartbeat and all that, etc. Thanks for reading. I am sorry if this comes off as callous, insensitive, and negative but I’ve had so many losses…I know when I see those two lines on a pregnancy test that most likely it won’t work out. I’m tired of the toxic positivity of “your betas look great!” when they are clearly not

Advice Needed Bleeding after yoga class

5w pregnant today, I was feeling physically well so I decided to take a class. Afterwards I went to the bathroom and wiped some blood. Freaked out, went home and had more bleeding. I am trying to keep my head on straight but after a mc last month I am feeling really triggered. The class was very twist heavy, and there was a lot of time spent in the prone position.

Sad 3 miscarriages in a year, 21 years old, tired of this

Sept 2025, lost my first baby at 6w2d. Was convinced it was bad luck. June 2026 lost my second baby at 5w5d. Knew something was wrong, RPL panel came back fine. October 2026 lost my third baby at almost 10w, had to get a d&c. Losing hope at this point. I’m on antibiotics for 2 weeks to hopefully get rid of what I think is endometritis. Doing a repeat RPL panel, scheduling repeat ultrasounds, mri, HSG, endometrial biopsy to rule out endometritis. Worrying about adenomyosis and silent endometriosis. I feel like I’m never gonna have a baby and I’m too young to have these fucking problems. I have been so depressed I want to die. I cannot imagine a child free life.

Advice Needed Anxious following 2 chemical pregnancies

I am TTC after 2 back to back chemical pregnancies the last 2 cycles (I am 31 yo). Had a faint positive test yesterday 9 DPO and then today the test looks a little darker.

The first chemical I was spotting the entire time. So when I had a positive test, I had a feeling something was wrong (my hcg was 37 and then 48 hours later went to 25 & was told it was a chemical).

The second chemical I didn’t have any spotting but super faint positive test and then 48 hours later it was negative and eventually turned into a late period.

I am feeling so incredibly anxious about this happening again. For those who had chemicals before, how do you monitor for a chemical so you aren’t blindsided? Do you just do daily tests until you can be seen? Or just do blood hcg and make sure it’s doubling and let it be?

I am so paranoid about this and get so nervous that I will begin spotting and losing it again. Any advice on what to do for those who are worried about another chemical?

Advice Needed 3 chemical pregnancies and 1 ectopic pregnancy in the last 18 months. What could be the cause?

Well it’s confirmed my hcg dropped today and I’m officially having my 4th loss. I’ve had my thyroid tested and everything came back normal. For those of you who have had recurrent losses did you ever find a cause? I’m 29 years old and thought this journey would be easy for my husband and I but boy was I wrong. We can get pregnant just fine but my babies just like to Irish goodbye 🙃

Advice Needed Faint Positives, Chemical Pregnancy Anxiety

Hey Reddit!

Hoping this is the place to post as I’m currently 15 dpo and have had 2 positives but this morning the progression dropped and of course I’m over analyzing everything and just looking for a place to get it out and hopefully get some advice.

Husband (33) and I (35) had a surprise positive back in March. At that time we hadn’t been trying so surprise lol unfortunately it did end almost as soon as it started.

Over the last few months I have done everything I can to change my lifestyle as I felt back then not only was I surprised, but I was soooo concerned about my diet and other things.

Since then I’ve dropped 20lbs by joining a workout group, changed jobs to one that essentially eliminated 99% of the stress in my life, completely quick drinking and have been sleeping and eating so much better along with taking prenatal.

We decided to start actively trying in August. I downloaded Premom and started tracking my LH and bbt to better understand my body. We weren’t successful in sept, but this month my expected period (very regular) didn’t start. Soooo I took a test and there was a faint but clear positive!!! That was 13 dpo. Tested again yesterday, same result. Tested this morning however and it was fainter.

I went out and got some more tests and stupidly took another one a few minutes ago which was very very faint. I’m trying to be both realistic but also not emotional as I’ve been hydrated since my morning test.

Anyways I guess I’m just looking for guidance or peace of mind while being realistic.

In March when it happened, I had been testing positive and then one morning had sever cramps followed by bleeding. Took a test and boom negative. It was frustrating because my doctor just told me bed rest despite me saying to him I’m pretty sure I’m not pregnant as I’m having essentially my period and I took a test that said negative. He didn’t believe me until I pushed for blood work and asked him to review it. Stupid man.

This time however, I have no cramping (minus a couple very light, lasted a couple minutes ones on the day of my expected period) and overall do not feel like I did last time.

So I’m just waiting now to see if my period decides to come or if maybe this is a blip and I’ll continue along with a healthy pregnancy. Not knowing is the worst and I’m going crazy.

Thank you to those who took the time to read my little inner thought. I’m really trying to not get emotionally invested and prepare for what I’ve experienced in the past but still also remaining hopeful for a different outcome. I would love to hear any advice on this whether how to deal with it (so sorry to anyone who’s been through this too💜) or anyone who thought one thing and then the unexpected happened. I just need a place to talk about it

Advice Needed Really anxious about nhs screening results

I am 13 weeks pregnant after 2 prior losses so my anxiety is sky high. Finding it hard awaiting my blood test results following my scan. Does anyone have any advice? I am starting a new job next week when they might call with bad news so I’m extra worried about that.

Thanks all

Hcg doubling times

Hey guys.

I know my betas meet the criteria of 48-72 hour doubling time but I would love to hear some success stories with similar hcg numbers (under 1200).

This is my 10th pregnancy but I've had 6 miscarriages so to be honest. Hcg and early pregnancy traumatised me.

These are my betas

Friday 7.30am: 11 dpo: 77
Monday 1.45pm 14 dpo: 310 (38 hour doubling time)
Thursday 7.05am 17 dpo: 670 (58 hour doubling time).

I know 77 at 11 DPO is good. I know 310 at 14dpo is good. I know 38 hour doubling and 58 hour doubling time both fit the criteria of 48-72 hour doubling time but whenever my betas have slowed down so quickly like this in the first week or so, it has often resulted in a loss later on. It kind of trends to slower and slower (but still in range to eventually no longer in range and then I end up miscarrying).

Any success stories where you were like 4-5 weeks pregnant with rapid rising betas then all of the sudden slowing down to 58-68 hour doubling time till atleast 1200 then obviously slowed down after that but everything turned out ok?

The other thing is... if I pretend the 14dpo beta didn't exist then

11 dpo: 77 to 17dpo: 670 is actually a 47 hour doubling time so if I never had the 14dpo I probably wouldn't know that is rose rapidly then slowed down.

I'm on the Bondi protocol so taking clexane, aspirin, progesterone, and prednisolone and don't have any more betas scheduled. I'm worried that this is my warning but while taking the medication i may not actually physically miscarry and then I will be heart broken with a scan.

I would love some similar stories that were positive or obviously realities if you think I need to hear it.

High HCG then slight decline-Thoughts ?

• Upvotes

Hi,

I recently confirmed pregnancy on Sept.25th and looking like 5/6 weeks. On Oct.1st I took first hcg and it was 383, then 3 days later 2nd hcg at 2834. Which was a big rise more than doubled. Finally got in with my clinic and ran another HCG at 8/13 and it had only rose up to 3874, then dropped to 3462 on 8/15. A little worried but curious to know peoples experiences more on the positive end ❤️ ty in advance

hCG levels increased by 88.41% over a 5-day period.

hCG levels increased by 88.41% over a 5-day period (120 hours) Hello everyone! I’m looking for some reassurance because I’m extremely worried. ❤️
I’m currently 5 weeks and 6 days pregnant, following the same medication and protocol that I did with my baby girl. I’ve had 5 miscarriages in the past, so pregnancy is always filled with anxiety for me.
I had my HCG levels checked on the 6th, and they were 2,149. I repeated them on the 11th, and they came back at 4,049. Naturally, I started panicking because they didn’t rise as much as I was hoping.
I called my OB Monday morning, and they got me in for an ultrasound. We were able to see a heartbeat of 94 bpm. My doctor didn’t seem overly concerned. He explained that HCG levels don’t always follow the textbook guidelines and that, although the heartbeat is on the slower side, it could be because it has only just started beating.
I’m trying so hard to stay positive, but I’m struggling with so much doubt and anxiety. I’m not scheduled to go back for another ultrasound for two weeks, and the waiting is going to be so hard.
Has anyone experienced slower-rising HCG levels and a heartbeat around 94 bpm this early in pregnancy and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy? My HCG levels would be doubling approximately every 131 hours, and I’m having such a hard time convincing myself that everything could still be okay.
I know everyone’s journey is different, but I would really appreciate hearing your experiences. Please be kind. I’m just a worried mama who has been through a lot and is desperately hoping for a happy outcome. ❤

Devastated in limbo right now.

I’ve posted recently about my HCG. I started heavily bleeding and passing tissue this week. I went in for an ultrasound and baby is measuring 11 days behind. I’m 7 weeks 4 days right now but it’s measuring 11 days behind that.

They saw a tiny flicker of the heartbeat trying to start. I’m even more devastated now since I saw that. i probably will try to prepare for a full miscarriage 😭
