They then say how important honesty is in a relationship.
Why do people do this.

This happens quite often, and I just can't understand the rationale behind it. It's especially confusing when the person the profile belongs to is in the background of the picture, so you naturally assume at first that someone else is the profile's owner. But scrolling through the profile soon makes it obvious that's not the case. I'm personally quite put off by that because it feels like they're trying to trick me. Plus, the direct comparison makes it feel like they're basically sabotaging themselves.
Just curious, though, could just be my impression, and attractiveness is obviously subjective!

I know I've seen this bio before and not from this guy. It wasn't even funny the first time and borders on cringe. And I just know he sat back with a smug look on his face after pressing upload.

Too much, too soon. It gives clingy, lovebombing vibes. And, yes, I know it's a quote from a song, but some of y'all need to scale it back. No one wants to hear that on a date.

She doesn't even provide a lot of information in the rest of her profile give people a better idea of who they're trying to get to know.

I matched with this nice lady a few years back. I regretfully did not save the rest of our delightful conversation, but I appreciated the responses that were more than two words.

Is it that difficult to be a little creative?

I don’t know where to post this but omg it’s so frustrating being a 25 year old virgin in this day and age. I’m usually pretty straight forward with the guys I talk to that I am looking for a partner and marriage, AND that I’m a virgin. I just would rather wait till I’m in a relationship to have sex and that I’m 100% comfortable with the person. Now most of the guys I’ve talked to claim that they don’t care or I will ask a billion questions why haven’t I had sex, or say I’m too pretty to be a virgin (whatever that means).Anyways it’s just frustrating when we haven’t even gone on a date and you are concerned if we can have sex or not. LIKE SIR YOU ARE STILL BASICALLY A STRANGER TO ME. So what should I do? Maybe the dating apps aren’t meant for me, I have yet to actually meet a guy that hasn’t straight up love bomb into attempt fornication.

At any particular time, around half the women in my beeline are living in Africa and using travel mode (I live in London). Most of them are also half my age. It's pretty annoying that Bumble doesn't give me any way to exclude travel mode in my preferences.
I'm curious if anyone has ever actually tried to match and talk to these people. Are any of them remotely genuine, or are they all basically scammers? What's their actual plan?
I assume they must get some matches, otherwise there wouldn't be so many of them trying.
r/Bumble • u/Skybuilder23 • 17h ago
I've gotten zero matches. I know it's hard for men my age (21) but I feel I'm missing something.
I'm straight and looking for a long term partner.

Wanted to see how bad it was after only having 1 match, worse than I expected 😭 is the "yes" stat likes? If so I cant see them in the app, says I have none

Why do you guys say that it’s more complicated for you to date than us girls? I’ve gone out with 7 guys in total and 5 of them friendzoned me or ended things with me, it’s hard for us too, let alone talking stages, I’ve been unmatched and ghosted plenty of times, it’s not just a “guys” thing. What am I doing for these guys not to choose me? I feel like I’m a pretty okay being with any guy as long as they’re respectful and are willing to take things slow, I’ve been really attracted to all these guys, but they seem just not to like me 🤷🏻♀️ I’m getting kinda tired of playing games, any advice? 😩

Idk I do ok in terms of getting likes I'm cute and accomplished but like the quality of the likes is terrible. Does this not show my personality/that I'm serious? :/ open to feedback but pls be nice i'm sensitive
r/Bumble • u/ThisUnfairLife • 19h ago
I tried the paid version for 1 week and not a single like. Do you think I look awkward in my photos?
Also, I find it difficult to write about myself and set up a good dating profile.
Edit: Thank you all for your feedback. I’ll read all your comments when I have time. I just wanted to clarify something that came up in a few comments. I’m not specifically looking for someone who shares my religion. One of my longest relationships was with an atheist who was raised Christian. I’m simply looking for someone who is comfortable with my religion.

Most profiles read as non serious, sex only, transactional, entertain me, I have no personality, have no profile, or the like.
How it someone to find any matches when all the profiles read as empty and shallow people. But I want to see what you guys think would be examples of more genuine looking for an actual relationship and not just a job/worker/parent type of profile.
Feel free to share what you think regardless of sex or gender (as sex or gender doesn't change intent in a relationship or what it would look like unless it was transactional to begin with)
...
Edit : For note : currently I only swipe right on 1 or 2 people out of 100, and usally it isnt even because I am interested in them for a relationship. (Usally something else on the profile, like one woman enjoyed dancing and wanted someone to dance with, and another I wanted to question their bio choice because I found it interesting)

I believe they have banned my account I have been on it for 90 days and have not gotten a match with not a single girl. Is this really gonna be my life?
r/Bumble • u/lordgentofdapper • 10h ago
I am unsure if I am wording this correctly. Please bear with me.
Do you ever feel like you put up with conversations either where the person never asks questions back, or they give short/dry replies, or there is no real banter or rapport being built, or they even make comments that are explicit, not because you enjoy these conversations or even because you like the person, but because you think "beggars can't be choosers" and you feel like you have to try to make every match you get work because you get so few to begin with? Holy run-on sentence, batman!
I feel like I end up doing this. I am on the autism spectrum, too, so I cannot always read between the lines. I have had situations where I am bored with the conversation and I am the only one asking questions, and I just put up with it because I want to go on a date and there is nobody else in my queue waiting to talk. But recently, I have just stopped replying when it appears the conversation is not going anywhere. It took me a long time to get to that point, though. Does anyone else have this issue?
Just to add: I am actually a fairly confident person, but I feel like my autism and my lack of matches hinders me.
