Funny "Rules for thee, but not for me"
They then say how important honesty is in a relationship.
Why do people do this.

She doesn't even provide a lot of information in the rest of her profile give people a better idea of who they're trying to get to know.

This I haven’t accepted to meet her yet.
Feel bad for the husband..
Are these people disturbed?
r/Bumble • u/Pemphredo_o • 10h ago
This happens quite often, and I just can't understand the rationale behind it. It's especially confusing when the person the profile belongs to is in the background of the picture, so you naturally assume at first that someone else is the profile's owner. But scrolling through the profile soon makes it obvious that's not the case. I'm personally quite put off by that because it feels like they're trying to trick me. Plus, the direct comparison makes it feel like they're basically sabotaging themselves.
Just curious, though, could just be my impression, and attractiveness is obviously subjective!

I know I've seen this bio before and not from this guy. It wasn't even funny the first time and borders on cringe. And I just know he sat back with a smug look on his face after pressing upload.

I matched with this nice lady a few years back. I regretfully did not save the rest of our delightful conversation, but I appreciated the responses that were more than two words.

Too many times I'll match with a girl, we'll click in conversation and then boom, she reveals to me that she has a baby.
There was even a woman who waited until after already exchanged numbers, been talking and FaceTimeing to reveal that information.
Like why hide that? I'm not against single mothers, I've even dated one before, but she upfront about that.
I just wish there were more up-front about that on their profile.

I don’t know where to post this but omg it’s so frustrating being a 25 year old virgin in this day and age. I’m usually pretty straight forward with the guys I talk to that I am looking for a partner and marriage, AND that I’m a virgin. I just would rather wait till I’m in a relationship to have sex and that I’m 100% comfortable with the person. Now most of the guys I’ve talked to claim that they don’t care or I will ask a billion questions why haven’t I had sex, or say I’m too pretty to be a virgin (whatever that means).Anyways it’s just frustrating when we haven’t even gone on a date and you are concerned if we can have sex or not. LIKE SIR YOU ARE STILL BASICALLY A STRANGER TO ME. So what should I do? Maybe the dating apps aren’t meant for me, I have yet to actually meet a guy that hasn’t straight up love bomb into attempt fornication.
r/Bumble • u/GoFigure284 • 15h ago
Too much, too soon. It gives clingy, lovebombing vibes. And, yes, I know it's a quote from a song, but some of y'all need to scale it back. No one wants to hear that on a date.

Why do you guys say that it’s more complicated for you to date than us girls? I’ve gone out with 7 guys in total and 5 of them friendzoned me or ended things with me, it’s hard for us too, let alone talking stages, I’ve been unmatched and ghosted plenty of times, it’s not just a “guys” thing. What am I doing for these guys not to choose me? I feel like I’m a pretty okay being with any guy as long as they’re respectful and are willing to take things slow, I’ve been really attracted to all these guys, but they seem just not to like me 🤷🏻♀️ I’m getting kinda tired of playing games, any advice? 😩

Gents.. have you ever started planning a casual coffee date and had the woman try to change it to a dinner date at an expensive restaurant?
While this is rare, it has happened to me a few times. I always refused and quickly got ghosted or unmatched lol.
Thank God I've been with women who were just naturally into me before and thought I was hot. And those women didn't care if we just walked around in a park or "hung out". Time together was what mattered.
Just putting it out there. Never let someone raise the price on you. They are doing that because they don't actually like you 💯
EDIT: If you need the "situation" to make the date fun.. you are with the wrong person. There's just no getting around it people 😄

I believe they have banned my account I have been on it for 90 days and have not gotten a match with not a single girl. Is this really gonna be my life?
r/Bumble • u/OtherwiseBrain2505 • 5h ago
At any particular time, around half the women in my beeline are living in Africa and using travel mode (I live in London). Most of them are also half my age. It's pretty annoying that Bumble doesn't give me any way to exclude travel mode in my preferences.
I'm curious if anyone has ever actually tried to match and talk to these people. Are any of them remotely genuine, or are they all basically scammers? What's their actual plan?
I assume they must get some matches, otherwise there wouldn't be so many of them trying.

I’ve been seeing this guy for a little while, and one thing that had been bothering me was how his texting gradually got slower and slower.
I eventually brought it up to him in person. I wasn’t asking him to text me 24/7 or respond instantly, but I told him that the change in communication was making me feel like his interest/effort had dropped. Right after that conversation, his texting completely changed. He started replying basically instantly and seemed way more engaged.
But today I was busy and took around 4–5 hours to reply to him a couple of times. Almost immediately, he went right back to taking a long time to respond too.
It left a really bad taste in my mouth because it almost feels like his effort depends on how much effort I’m giving him first. Like when I’m responsive/chasing the conversation, he’ll engage, but the second I pull back even a little, he pulls back too.
What makes it more confusing is that literally yesterday, in person, he asked me to be exclusive. He also told me he really likes me and wants us to meet up more often.
So I don’t understand how someone can be asking for exclusivity and wanting to see me more, but then immediately feel distant over text again just because I wasn’t replying quickly for one day.
I know texting speed alone isn’t everything, and I’m not expecting instant replies. It’s more the pattern that bothers me: I bring up the lack of effort → he immediately steps it up → I stop putting in as much effort → he immediately drops back down.
Does this sound like hot-and-cold behavior to you? Could he just be mirroring my texting pace, or does it sound like someone who stops trying as soon as he feels secure that I’m interested?
Would this bother you if you had just agreed to be exclusive with someone?

So I matched with this woman on the dating app.
The conversation was going well, until she told me she works in Human Resources.
I made a dumb joke saying, and I quote, "Oh you work for HR? I better watch what I say, because I know this being documented 😂 "
She immediately unmatched me with no explanation. Did that joke cross the line?

I 36M match with a gorgeous 27F on Bumble. I was even further surprised that she messaged me first quickly. Conversation was going great, consistent texting, and after a few days we go on a date. I take her to a nice café followed by a walk along the waterfront. The date is going so well that while on the first date we plan for date #2 at a fancier restaurant. As I'm walking her to the car, I was just planning to hug her goodbye but I can see her leaning in for a kiss. We make out for awhile.
She plans date #3 and wants me to go over to her house. She is planning to cook for me. I bring a nice bottle of wine. We have dinner, lots of laughter, great vibes all around. We settle in to watch a movie and I see her getting closer to me. Eventually this leads to kissing, we go upstairs to her bedroom, she gives me amazing oral, we have sex. We end up talking the night away after.
In my mind I'm thinking this is amazing. Everything clicks so easily, we have so much in common, and the conversations flow like a clear mountain stream in spring. Next day she makes me breakfast and we just chill some more. Before I know it, she's giving me oral again. At this point in my head I'm thinking this has to be to good to be true. Seeing how she has been so generous I decide it's my turn to reciprocate. One thing my older brother told me when I was a teen and I first started dating is to get good at oral and always give back. It was advice that has served me well over the years. Yet she freaked out. The mood instantly died. After that she was more reserved, everything felt kind of awkward and she said she has to go help her mom with something later and that I should go.
Didn't text me the rest of the day. Nothing the next. I text her after 2 days and her responses were dry and brief, as if she was no longer interested. Then I asked her if something is wrong or if I did something to upset her. She basically gave me the "your a nice guy but I don't think this is going to work" speech. I pushed a little bit more and then she said "your into some weird shit" and then blocked. Before I tried to give her oral everything was going great, after that everything changed. I'm sad to lose her because I genuinely felt we had a connection and I thought there was potential for a serious relationship to develop.

Like I dress in all black, wear black earrings, paint dark artwork and mostly watch horror.... but a lot of the women I match with seem to be "basic"(sorry). I don't get many matches, but it's odd that every once in a while I match with an above average looking woman who's into the same things as me... it's like they can tell I'm super into it, and they slowly retract and end up ghosting me.
Then I can match with a woman that almost seems to be not very similar to me at all, and I treat the conversation differently. I can tell these women are more willing to go on a date with me... it's so bizarre. It makes me feel like I should hide my excitement for these women I'm in to in order to get them on a date. I did match with one girl about a year ago who was right up my alley. She was a fellow painter that had similar interests/style. That said, she had severe BPD and even invited me to some bonfire where some guy she had sex with in the past tried to fight me almost immediately. To say the least, that relationship did not last long.
Anyways, do any of you guys have this problem too? Am I literally supposed to be suppressing excitement... I make sure not to come off clingy, but I think the fact I even write out long messages to these women I'm interested in makes them less attracted to me. Short aloof responses work?? I feel like I lose respect for women at times when I come to these realizations. Not saying women don't face their own issues... I'm just trying to make sense of this all

I am unsure if I am wording this correctly. Please bear with me.
Do you ever feel like you put up with conversations either where the person never asks questions back, or they give short/dry replies, or there is no real banter or rapport being built, or they even make comments that are explicit, not because you enjoy these conversations or even because you like the person, but because you think "beggars can't be choosers" and you feel like you have to try to make every match you get work because you get so few to begin with? Holy run-on sentence, batman!
I feel like I end up doing this. I am on the autism spectrum, too, so I cannot always read between the lines. I have had situations where I am bored with the conversation and I am the only one asking questions, and I just put up with it because I want to go on a date and there is nobody else in my queue waiting to talk. But recently, I have just stopped replying when it appears the conversation is not going anywhere. It took me a long time to get to that point, though. Does anyone else have this issue?
Just to add: I am actually a fairly confident person, but I feel like my autism and my lack of matches hinders me.

I'm 29M. Requested my data and got those numbers.
Basically for every 12.5 swipes, I get a match.
How does it compare to the average vs top guy?
Mind you, my profile is curated hard for hookups. I have 5 pics of me on each app.

I've gotten zero matches. I know it's hard for men my age (21) but I feel I'm missing something.
I'm straight and looking for a long term partner.

I’ve been scrolling a lot of threads and everyone gets told to lose weight. I’m 39.
I understand the whole health thing, but I wonder if my weight is blocking me from finding a relationship? It feels weird to ask that because I genuinely love myself and feel happy and healthy but based on a lot of opinions here I’m feeling like maybe I have a little bit of body dysmorphia, in the wrong direction lol
These are the pictures from my profile and I welcome honest feedback. I’m looking for a serious relationship and live on an island so water photos are pretty common. With these pictures, make you more curious about me. Would you be willing to send me a message if you saw me on an app?
UPDATE: i’m getting rid of photo too, I’m definitely gonna work on my response to the prompts so that I showcase more of my personality and I’m overall optimistic. Thanks for all of the direct feedback.
