When I was a kid growing up in Vietnam, my neighbor—a boy visiting from the US—brought over a Nintendo handheld running Pokémon. I still remember how utterly fascinated I was just watching him play, wishing I could have one of my own. Back then, it was way out of reach.

Fast forward to today: I’m 36 now, and I decided it was time to fulfill that childhood dream. I managed to track down an original 3DS in great condition from a local collector on Facebook, and holding it in my hands honestly brings me so much joy.

I finally booted up Pokémon, and here’s what I just caught!

On my original 3ds, the YouTube app was the only source for YouTube for a while, when my family laptop was restricted to “homework only.” Plus, it wasn’t as mobile. Eventually, as stupid kids do, it broke as well, lol. I had to replace my battery once cuz it just kept swelling. I eventually got a tablet, cuz they didn’t trust me with a phone anymore with how I dropped it on hard tile, and my 3ds finally got to rest…

If anyone asks btw about the internet browser, from what I remembered, it just didn’t play YouTube or any video at all.

It’s also the most comfortable. Most beautiful color Nintendo ever made.

It's an open world multiplayer zombie survival game on the 3DS. Ended up becoming really popular in Japan and Americas. PvP or PvE gameplay, find guns, ammunition, fuel for vehicles and explore the desolate Arctic Island. Game means a lot to me.

Checking my 2DS I noticed the back panel isn't properly flush against the front one, it's like when a device has a bloated battery, except this happens even when I remove the battery? Is the plastic like curved or something? You can see what I mean better in the video

I want to buy a 3DS as soon as possible. Since prices are so high, I’m considering buying an "old" 3DS XL first, and then—once I’ve saved up more money—upgrading to a "New" 3DS XL. As a teenager, I don’t have enough income to go straight for a "New" model; I earn about 8 dollars a week, and a "New" 3DS XL costs around 370 dollars in my country, whereas the "old" XL costs 175.

I’m not sure if this is the right decision, so I’m asking for your opinions.

Hey all, I just recently got a n3dsxl and it seems to be completely fine. However. The b button is having intermittent issues with input. It’s not until I press hard that it registers. I tried cleaning it out as well as the rubber spacer and the pad. While taking it apart, I also noticed the top left screw doesn’t fasten and doesn’t require removal to lift the membrane (pointed to in pic 2) does anyone know what my issue could be?

I recently got my hands on a new 3DS XL, but the shell's a bit scratched up and I wanted to replace it. Where can I find replacements?

I’m trying to add friends for friend safari via internet. I do it all the time on this device and another 3ds I own. It’s working on my other 3ds just fine but for whatever reason this 3ds is acting up a lot lately. If you look at the photo you’ll see I’m connect to internet but I’m currently not online. Hi everyone! I have a problem with my white Nintendo 3DS XL. Both screens seem to flicker, but the bottom screen is especially bad, as you can see in the video.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Could it be a faulty LCD, a loose ribbon cable, or possibly an issue with the motherboard?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The battery from the used 2ds i bought drains pretty fast so I was thinking of replacing it, is this a good replacement?

Do I still need to move the SD card? I did a wireless system transfer from a New 3DS to a New 3DS. I don’t remember any instruction saying to move the SD card during the process, or maybe I missed it?

A couple months ago I bought a Red 3DS LL on Mercari and it works pretty well but I noticed a few things, the Circle Pad can have a slight resistance to it, the B Button and Left and Up Buttons require firmer presses before responding to the input, and there seems to be a dead pixel on the top screen which wasn’t very noticeable on the listing or when I received it. I was wondering if there a trusted repair shop I can maybe send my DS to get some of these fixed or replaced unless there’s some cheap home alternatives I can do to fix it myself?

Does anyone know of a site or seller that sells custom or official special edition buttons for the New 2DS XL?

I'm trying to make an all-black New 2DS XL. I already got the black Circle Pad, the black PSP Cap,

but I can't find any custom black button sets nor any replacement shells for the Minecraft Creeper Edition, Pokeball Edition, or the Dragon Quest Edition, which, to my knowledge, were the only official models that had black buttons.

From what I've read, I can’t install buttons from any other 3DS/DS model into my system, because they wouldn't be able to fit.

Is anyone able to help me out?

So i just got a used n3dsxl and I'm already having a blast. However the screen has some black defects around the edges. I looked around some older posts and someone said that using a hair drier and some pressure the screen can be mostly restored. Can someone help me understand what caused this?

Recently, game ports have been released on old consoles, the same mario cart wii on 3ds, it's even possible, the same roblox on xbox 360 and etc, and I thought if it was possible to port the game ben 10 protector of earth to new 3ds? I don't think this game is more demanding than Mario cart wii. Yes, I know that all these games are not ports, but as I understand its an ai and vibecoding are used for such "ports", I could be wrong because I don't know exactly how everything works, but as if it would be quite possible to port Ben 10? Moreover, it's a pretty popular and good game and I think many people would like this idea

hello, I've been wanting to get back into playing on my 3ds but the circlepad is so slippy and I can't have my thumb on it for more than a few seconds without it slipping. does anyone know where I can get grip covers in the UK? it seems like they just don't exist anymore but I thought I'd at least ask anyway. I purchased a replacement circle pad too I'm hoping that will just have more grip. Thanks
