Image [Hogg] In section 106 tonight, a 45-minute drive from home, was a man wearing his lucky Jake Bauers shirt. Stu Bauers has worn his son’s t-shirt the last four Brewers games. They are 4-0. It hasn’t been washed yet and at this rate it may never be.

The Dodgers are now down 0-3 vs the Brewers in the NLCS, has anyone ever came back from being down 0-3 in the post season?

Also whats the stats/likelihood a MLB team can come back in the post season down 0-3? It's gotta be less than 10% at this point right?

Not Like Last Year: Brewers Beat Snell in Game 3, Extend NLCS Lead to 3-0

Over his previous 10 starts, Snell hadn’t allow a single home run. In Game 3, against a team that had finished 29th in the majors in homers, he gave up three, two to lefties. If you want to know how wild that is, Snell has allowed only 15 home runs to lefties in his regular-season career, over 1,200 innings of work. This just doesn’t happen to him, or to the Dodgers more broadly. They do this to people, not have it done to them.

Would a lost season due to the lockout help or hurt the Dodgers in 2027?

They look old, worn out, and they’ve dealt with a lot of extra games and injuries. Would a wiped out season weirdly give them the long layoff they need to recover and further go for broke or would it simply just age them closer to a rebuild/refresh?

Bonus question: does this series have any impact on what Skubal does?

Would you use Skubal or Yamamoto in Game 4? And when?

Its always interesting to think about the strategies that come around with playoff series. The Dodgers need to win their next four games, or they're eliminated. And while they weren't invulnerable, Skubal and Yamamoto were certainly extremely good against the Brewers, and are great pitchers.

So, in Game 4, what do you do? Skubal would be pitching on three days rest, Yamamoto two games. And you still have Game 5 to think about. And then Game 6. And Game 7.

You could have Skubal, Yamamoto, and Snell keep going on three days for the rest of the series, if it goes that long. Or you could use Glasnow (I think that's the Dodgers' 4th starter for the playoffs?) to start tomorrow and trust the bullpen, keeping Skubal, Yamamoto, and Snell on full rest for the rest of the series...

...but when would you break glass in case of Glasnow breaking?

My stance: It doesn't matter if I throw everything at winning Game 4 if I can't win Game 5 or 6 or 7. To me, the Dodgers need to give everyone full rest. Game 4 is the hardest game they'll have to win this year, but if they can, they'll at least have their starting pitchers on track for the rest of the series.

.......of course, none of that matters if the Dodgers can't hit the ball, but a manager can only control so many things.

It breaks my heart that Fox parted ways with Adrian Garcia Marquez. He absolutely made the postseason for me. Can’t stand listening to Joe Davis and John Smoltz.

That’s it. Maybe one day we’ll have Adrian call big games again.

Koki Sugimoto, a Japanese pitcher for the KBO’s KT Wiz, has never played in NPB but made 73 appearances this year. A perennial NPB draft prospect during his independent league career, he has drawn interest from multiple teams this year. Two years ago, he was unconscious for 10 days due to illness.

Is it me or does Jeter look annoyed the majority of the time when Arod talks? Arod seems to try too hard.

[OptaSTATS] Blake Snell is the second pitcher in MLB history to give up a homer on the first pitch he threw and the last pitch he threw in a postseason start. The other was John Smoltz on October 12, 1991 - also in Game 3 of the NLCS (a game Smoltz still won).

Fox baseball postgame is the worst.

As the title suggests if there is a worse network postgame show wasting big money on cringe announcers in any sport I’d love you to tell me. So dry and awkward. Yuk.

[CespedesBBQ] one subplot to monitor (among many) as the Dodgers try to avoid getting swept... since it was lengthened to best-of-7 in 1985, just 3 teams have hit 0 HR in the LCS 1990 A’s (swept BOS) 1995 Reds (swept by ATL) 2002 Twins (lost in 5 to LAA) ...2026 Dodgers?! we’ll see!
