pls someone tell me how to downgrade.

"Do not recommend me this channel" is just placebo. At some point some video is going to get recommended again from that channel.

I do not care about your knife made out of obsidian.
I do not care about your speedrun drama.
I do not care about how you repaired this broken sports car.
I do not care about your shitty movie trivia.

BTFO out of my feed, FOREVER.

I'm not sure what happened, and I don't think reccomendations have been good in years, but suddenly it seems like theyve gotten a lot worse. I'm pretty used to being suggested the same videos constantly, but usually it's at least had some things I'm interested in mixed in. Suddenly my suggestions have changed radically to sometimes be things tangentially relevant to what I watch (ie; reaction channels, educational stuff, and whatnot) but things I have never shown an interest in/have actively told youtube I am not interested in, as well as things totally unrelated to anything I watch. Along with that, I very rarely see things I am interested in that I havent watched very recently. Again, it's never been great, but I feel like its gotten a lot worse recently, and I'm wondering if anyone else is noticing this?

By adding https://i.ytimg.com/c_exp/ to your block-list, it makes all GIFs appear as "GIF unavailable"

Another animation channel that DOESN'T post for kids content flagged and demonitised for "misleading family content"😂😂 reviewed by ai and humans... All the revenue that YT is pulling in and they still can't tell the difference between made for kids and non made for kids content... I figured the label would be a good indicator but I guess not

This ain't even gonna last a week is it 🫩🥀

So dogshit and terrible I considered posting this to express my absolute disdain and how I'm utterly disgusted at the UI.

use the addon control panel for youtube, turn on disable new layout

First of all, why did they changed it when there were no complaints on it. Second, it just sucks overall, nothing works really. Also, they are just trying to make to stay on the app by putting video recommendations directly underneath.

i hate it.

Same as title

These are just a few of them. There were many others I didn't feel like screenshotting, but you get the idea.

This video isnt helping by the way, why would they do this? It looks like youtube shorts. This sucks.

I miss it

It was useful

For context, Microwave Society is a comedy channel who mainly watches movies, only showing about a total 15 minutes of each, the rest being bits and jokes. At the end of their review of Minions and Monsters, they gave a mostly positive review of the movie. Universal blocked it.

So for the past month or two now youtube no matter how many times I refresh, search for specific topics, or just blatantly just hit not interested in this shows me the same 11 videos non stop most of it is stuff I dont even watch??? Im stairing at the page now I dont watch cash, the burnt peanut anything to do with Conan exiles but its all I see and im getting frustrated. Just 2 months ago i could come home from work sit down and have a bunch of things that I actually wanted to watch and now I feel like im being force fed garbage by youtube and nothing I do seems to change that... am I just unlucky or is anyone else have this problem or maybe a fix for it?

I tested the ask feature on my video and it vomited out the most stupidest, most brain dead reply I have ever saw. My video has NO LYRICS. All of my music videos have the ai say the same thing! "Oh btw this video has the word heat in it 🤓☝️" Like no it doesn't have the word heat in it 🥀

So I don't know how old this update is (I restarted my PC today) but now on the desktop version the comments are to the right of the video and not below. And vice versa, the suggested videos are below, not on the right.

This looks horrible and I don't want to get used to it. I hate that all apps look the same now, designed for short form and vertical content.

Is there a way to make it look how it did before the update?

Thanks in advance

He thinks the gif update is "fun"
