April 1945. As the Third Reich collapses, Hitler uses infernal powers to magically merge himself with the never-built Landkreuzer P.1000 Ratte, transforming into a gigantic biomechanical monster. Rita Repulsa then enlarges the entire creature until it stands 417 meters tall, approximately the height of the original World Trade Center's North Tower.
Hitler-Ratte retains Hitler's intelligence, memories, and personality. He knows Germany has already lost the war and has abandoned any hope of victory. His only remaining objective is revenge. He intends to inflict as much destruction and suffering upon the Allies as possible before being stopped.
Dimensions and physical characteristics:
- Height: 417 meters.
- Length: 1,327 meters.
- Width: 531 meters.
- Mass: approximately 54.5 million metric tons.
- Maximum land speed: 40 km/h.
- Armor and structural strength are magically reinforced to withstand the creature's enormous weight.
- An antigravity system prevents him from sinking into the ground under his own weight, but does not eliminate his inertia or make him immune to external forces.
Armor thickness:
- Frontal armor: 13.65 meters.
- Side armor: 9.48 meters.
- Rear armor: 7.58 meters.
- Roof armor: 5.69 meters.
- Belly armor: 3.79 meters.
- Track plates: approximately 3.8 meters thick, with reinforced sections reaching 7.6 meters.
- Each track is approximately 136 meters wide.
Armament:
His original weapons have been enlarged proportionally along with his body.
His primary armament consists of two gigantic 10.6-meter-caliber naval guns, each firing projectiles weighing approximately 18,000 metric tons.
- Muzzle velocity: 890 m/s.
- Kinetic energy per projectile: approximately 1.7 kilotons of TNT equivalent.
- Rate of fire: 3 rounds per minute per barrel.
- Maximum combined rate of fire: 6 rounds per minute.
- All original secondary weapons are also proportionally enlarged.
Additionally, 1,000 conventional German anti-aircraft gun mounts from 1945 have been installed across his enormous upper surfaces. These are normal-sized weapons operated by fanatical Nazi crews.
Hitler-Ratte has an unlimited supply of ammunition for all his weapons.
Movement and special rules:
Hitler-Ratte can move at 40 km/h on land using his tracks.
If his tracks are destroyed, his antigravity system allows him to continue moving at 15 km/h. He cannot fly.
His antigravity system becomes severely overloaded when he attempts to crush his way through dense urban areas. The resistance of buildings and the enormous amount of debris dramatically reduce his movement speed. He can still demolish entire neighborhoods by advancing through them, but doing so is extremely slow. Consequently, using his artillery is generally much more efficient than physically bulldozing cities.
He cannot swim, but he can slowly walk along the seabed at 0.5 km/h. Crossing the English Channel would take approximately 68 hours.
His enormous height means much of his body would remain above the water in relatively shallow seas.
He has no regeneration. Any damage he sustains is permanent.
He is a single living biomechanical organism, not an ordinary tank with Hitler sitting somewhere inside it. His biological and mechanical components function together as one body.
Scenario:
Hitler-Ratte appears in Berlin in late April 1945, as Soviet forces close in on the city.
He is completely free to choose his targets and strategy. He may attack Allied armies, destroy cities, march toward Moscow, attempt to cross the English Channel to reach London, or pursue any other objective that maximizes Allied losses.
The Allies possess their actual military forces, weapons, industrial capabilities, and technology available in 1945. They receive no advance warning.
Nuclear weapons are permitted, but strongly discouraged.
The Allies may resort to nuclear weapons if they conclude that eliminating Hitler-Ratte through conventional means is impossible. However, using a nuclear weapon counts as a partial victory for Hitler-Ratte, since forcing the Allies to contaminate their own territory or occupied territory with radioactive fallout would itself fulfill part of his destructive objective.
The Allies cannot use nuclear weapons before they historically become available.
Can the combined Allied forces permanently destroy or neutralize Hitler-Ratte using conventional weapons? How much destruction could he cause before being stopped?
