Weekly What are you reading? - Oct 14
Welcome to the weekly "What are you reading?" thread!
This is intended to be a general chat thread on visual novels with a focus on the visual novels you've been reading recently. A new thread is posted every Thursday at 4:00 AM JST (or Wednesday if you don't live in Japan for some reason).
Good WAYR entries include your analysis, predictions, thoughts, and feelings about what you're reading. The goal should be to stimulate discussion with others who have read that VN in the past, or to provide useful information to those reading in the future! Avoid long-winded summaries of the plot, and also avoid simply mentioning which VNs you are reading with no points for discussion. The best entries are both brief and brilliant.
Use spoiler tags liberally!
Always use spoiler tags in threads that are not about one specific visual novel. Like this one!
- They can be posted using the following markdown: >!hidden spoilery text!< , which shows up as hidden spoilery text. Make sure there are no spaces at the beginning and end of the spoiler tag because this will break it for users on http://old.reddit.com/. In other words do this: properly hidden spoiler, but not this: broken spoiler tag
Remember to link to the VNDB page of the visual novel you're discussing so the indexing bot for the What Are You Reading Archive can pick up your post.

News Kotaro Uchikoshi's next game got suddenly canceled... and it might have been a new Zero Escape game!
The tweet that announced this news, directly from the big boss:- https://x.com/Uchikoshi_Eng/status/2110400245440111047
Why do we think it is a new Zero Escape game?... The company he started to work on that project has a name that is related to the Zero Escape games... and also, if you visit the site and check the bottom right, you can see a quote that was present heavily in Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward.
Now, some people have speculated that this could be a "unique" way to advertise for the upcoming game, I personally don't buy it, so that's why I will just treat them as crazy theories and wish the best for Uchikoshi's new team and their future games. I also wish for a Zero Escape game, I love this series... but if it just got canceled, there is nothing we can do :(
EDIT:- He shared another tweet to clarify a couple of things. It was indeed probably a new Zero Escape game, and this announcement seems like it's not an ARG event or any type of advertisement; it is legit canceled :(

Review Adventure of a Lifetime is a great example of how all-ages moege should be~
After reading ATRI -My Dear Moments- last year, and having it end up in my top 10 VNs ever, I decided that I like Konno Asta. Reading the collab event story he wrote in Heaven Burns Red? Made me realize that I didn't just like him, I loved him. Which caused me to decide to do a full annual marathon of his works where I read one title from him each year, something I do with other writers and companies for different reasons.
So, for him, at first, I wanted to read Kono Oozora ni, Tsubasa o Hirogete (If My Heart Had Wings), his magnum opus?... but seeing how it is a long summer game, and the weather currently is not that hot, I felt like winter would come before I can finish it... so I decided to go for a shorter title.
This is how I ended up deciding to read Sora to Umi ga, Fureau Kanata (Adventure of a Lifetime), another summerge, but this one is way shorter, I can for sure finish it in hot weather, making the experience played out like how it was intended to be played <3 and henceforth, my adventure started~
What I know about this game... is very limited. I know that it is an all-ages moege, something not very promising when I think about my previous experiences, especially PARQUET. But we are talking here about a real writer, not the people at Yuzusoft... he can't end up delivering another half-hearted game... right?
From early on, you will see how it is... quite informative about this specific island, which is a real place in Japan, it delves deeper also about the sea, diving and lots of other things you can do in that place @_@
There are info notes to teach you about lots of real stuff, which always made me feel like this game was an ad... for lots of things. Yes, it was interesting to read about those stuff as someone who is really clueless about those topics, but not enough for me to widen my view and learn more about them online...
I have never seen the sea in real life, even seafood is something I don't like, I ate it only once when I went through a surgery and thought my life was over. So reading about stuff I will never do is interesting, but you can't blame me for not being interested in learning more about something I know I will never do.
The biggest portion of those scenes went into one of the heroines learning how to dive, from scratch. We go with her in this journey and start learning the aspects of diving step by step, it was informative, but not in a bulky way. It still held up well to be fun to read while being as technical as possible.
If I got anything unrealistic/illogical in my head about this game to complain about?... it would be the fact that they could talk to each other underwater without any proper equipment. It is truly not a biggie, I know this game is not something you should take seriously, but when everything else it does regarding diving is quite realistic, you would think they would not miss out on this part.
From a very short research I did (I got gaslighted into wasting my time doing this after the game kept making this mistake nonchalantly...), real divers would either use sign language underwater, or some expensive suits that allowed them to communicate.. both not apparent in this game at all... they could just talk randomly without any real troubles underwater, and it never got explained at all... that was a little bit immersion breaking >-<
The sea is a special theme that seems to follow Konno Asta, or he is the one following it?... an interesting connection between those two, interesting enough to make me, someone who is not a sea-person, start thinking deeply about it... I remember at the ending sections, questioning why humans can't breathe under water, I might have been sleep deprived back when I made this announcement as if I was asking the most philosophical question when 6 years old me would be ashamed of an adult saying this... but the beautiful sea, the deeper you go, the more it feels like you are in a different planet, with a different set of rules, different lives and systems, governed by different logic... I don't even know how to swim, but I really got mesmerized with what the writer introduced with those sections <3
The game starts with a very simple plot, the main characters meet, we start learning about their dynamics, and we reach a certain point quite later in the plot where we see the OP and the game starts for real.
I think you can consider the parts before the OP to be the prologue?... it was quite long, but a very nice prologue! Having the trio become friends, spending time together, sharing their experiences and how different they are from each other. It wasn't anything special, but I appreciate how cozy it was, a true summer vacation experience... I recommend everyone to only read this game in the summer, it is really a different vibe if you do <3
I would advise everyone reading it to wait at least until the OP, the game before it was just introducing its elements, but at the last scene there will be some nice developments that are worth the wait, and the OP is not that late to appear, not that I think anyone is really going to drop this game... Konno Asta is legit amazing at writing female characters, he can make them so fun and unique enough to not make you feel bored at all.
The game has 2 heroines, Emily and Chisa. Both girls are very lovable and close to my heart, and as for picking one of them as a favorite?... I really can't. You don't pick favorites among your children, it is true that if you sat down and thought about it objectively, you could pick one... but you shouldn't, both of them should be loved equally... and that is what I did V-V
Emily, the half-Japanese / half-American girl, is extremely pretty and cute, very nice and a pampered child, but has the spirit of a true adventurer and is ready to put a brave mask on if it means that she could move forward with it. She set off to this island in search of a way to change her life, hating the sea and its creatures, she is now living on an island that feels like a prison for someone like her, being surrounded by what she hates, and her own objective is in the middle of the ocean, forcing her to somehow find a way to deal with her fear and hatred of the sea if she wishes to change her fate.
A simple plot, but you don't find yourself getting bored by it at all, something rare to happen for me when I read moege, I usually start snoozing quite early the second we leave the common route... this is also true for Chisa's route, which was even more engaging.
Chisa is a very lovely girl, your childhood friend, the island mascot who is famous there and even on the internet and TV channels, known as the "Dolphin girl", she got that pet dolphin she named Q-taro (it is the GOAT btw T-T) she rescued it when both of them were young, and now they are best friends. She hates the attention she gets because of that fame, and she also has some deep problems that you will discover later in her route~
The heroines are voice acted by Yūki Takada and Akari Kitō... as visual novel voice actresses? They are literal who's... as anime voice actresses?... even though they are fairly new to the scene, they have done actual roles, and lots of people have witnessed great performances from the few scenes I watched from their anime (I stopped watching anime way before they started having important roles, they have come too late for me ,-,)
I like to see anime VAs work in visual novels... it is always fun to have more VAs instead of the couple of names that always show up in my VNs ,-, I know it also happens in the anime industry, but mixing things up is always more interesting than just using the same names over and over.
Sometimes, they give us some ASMR voice lines, it happens occasionally... and it is super good T-T
How this game handled the girls plots and dealt with them?... it was nothing less than mastery of the work. In both cases, you see the characters deal with their problems very realistically, and the most amazing thing in this game is that the protagonist was not the savior.
Those girls don't need some prince to show up and solve all of their problems, yes he was there and he helped, yes he did matter, they appreciate him for how nice he is and how caring and thoughtful he was, but they still deal with their own problems on their own, sometimes the girls helped each other to solve them, making it a very nice and unique thing for this game.
Konno Asta did something I really don't see in moege, he knew how to make the girls still matter even outside of their route... this game having a main plot that can be solved in 2 different ways depending on the route, without the need to finish both routes to then unlock the true ending, allowed you to view both of those routes in the same importance, making all the main characters performances in them also matter.
When you play Emily's route, you will see Chisa rooting for you to go out with her, and always pushing you into it, it feels weird, I thought some drama would happen later in that route, it didn't feel like she truly meant this, and that feeling I had? is something the writer made me feel intentionally, you will understand why you felt like that later when you play Chisa's route.
While in her route, Emily will be the one pushing you for it, when Chisa shows some restraint to going out with you, Emily will clarify to her that she only backed off from you even though she likes you is because she sees us in love with each other and wants to wish the best for us without being a nuisance, causing Chisa to start taking our confession seriously.
This is Emily, a very straightforward girl who will say what is in her mind without going around the subject or hiding her feelings, in both cases, they will still have screen time in both routes, they will appear, they will matter, and you will not feel like they are a third wheel or unwanted, if anything, you will appreciate their existence. Something not really easy to do and this is the reason why nearly all moege writers don't do it and would try to either show them as minimal as possible or literally remove them from existence.
When you read Chisa's route, Emily doesn't disappear. She is still there, she feels real to the world, she doesn't cease to exist just because you didn't pick her. She will still move forward on her own in such a nice way, she doesn't take away from Chisa's screentime and her being there feels even more helpful to Chisa's route. Same can be seen for Emily's route and Chisa's role in it. That is all thanks to the game having a main plot, and that is to find Emily's treasure, a treasure that can't be found without Chisa's guidance. Having both of them have a crucial role in it allowed them to always be present in the game.
I have to do an honorary mention of the great Chinami, Chisa's imouto... I knew that I would like her from the first second she appeared on the screen... this little gremlin adds so much color to this game T-T All of her bits were funny, and she just brightened any scene she appeared in. Such a fun character to see, this is how you write side characters in moege!...
For a long time in this game, I thought it was just an ad, so it needed to be very family friendly, couldn't have heavy romance and erotic scenes.... but oh how wrong I was... the game had a great amount of romance focus, and each route had some real erotic scenes where you just felt that the writer really wanted to insert an h-scene right there in that exact moment... but he didn't... or maybe that is my rotten brain thinking that after reading tens of eroge ,___,
Those scenes had some spicy CGs, making me sometimes shocked at how this was allowed. Lots of kisses, in both routes. At some point I just realized... this can't be a government project to make a VN ad for these islands..... there is too much erotic stuff here!... unless it is a shared project between both the Kokudo-kōtsū-shō and the Kōsei-rōdō-shō... they want the Japanese otaku boys to go to the island and make some babies!!!!.... with the Polynesian girl, or the half-American girl.... which takes me to another point.
This game actually doesn't have any pure Japanese girls... a weird fact you learn later, both of them are kinda only half-Japanese?.... so I guess if someone is into that, there is a game that provides this very small niche you are in search for!... It is nice to know, I will always save this point in my head so that I can sell the game later with this as something special for it V-V
The romance was very delicious! It was real authentic moege romance, it wasn't a neglected element of the story, and it combines very well with the main plot. The second you leave the common route, the main focus starts going toward the romance, unlike the common route that focused more on the game's objective and teaching you about lots of stuff that are related to the topics discussed in this game or the characters themselves.
This game just proved you really don't need h-scenes to deliver a real believable romance... we get some erotic CGs, we see the characters getting really lovey-dovey, but they don't go over the line, this is a tale of a sweet summer love between teenagers. They are not horny monkeys who will do it at the drop of a hat, they take their time, and more importantly? They act like genuine human beings, especially that protagonist... you don't know how much I appreciated how he acts and how normal his monologues were.
There were tons of situations that I can swear any other writer would've made the whole scene just about the protagonist thinking dirtily about everything, but here? He gets an erotic passing thought about the situation, like any normal human being, but it is a passing thought, it will pass, he doesn't keep thinking about it, he himself sometimes forces it to pass.
He wants to enjoy his time with his friends, he wants to have fun, to laugh, to talk with them, to get closer to them, he is not just thinking about doing it with them, because he is not an animal, he is a human being and humans have rationality, morality, and lots of other self-made systems that distinguish them from other types of animals who allow their instincts to govern them.
You don't know how much I appreciate characters like him, it was such a breath of fresh air to see a male character that is not a disgusting pig who is just filthy, moralless, and only thinking about rape, sex and all other types of depravity that are not fit for those games, breaking all immersion and making me feel like I'm not reading a logical story at all and this is just written to please the otaku reading it.
Even though some scenes were shockingly erotic, it felt like they still had some tact... you know how some anime can have fanservice that feels x100 hotter than straight-up porn?... it is all in how it's done, and this game does it greatly, the smart usage of the correct amount of fanservice just hits the spot.
Yes, those scenes are realistic, logical and don't break immersion, those are positive eroticism that support the scenes, make sense and are fun to go through without making you cringe. Konno Asta is winning my heart more and more... next year, I will read my first eroge from him, it is an early work in his career, so maybe he wasn't the master of today that I know... but I have high hopes that he will do the h-scenes some justice and win my heart even more <3
Some bits in this game made me believe that it got some of the worst localization in this industry. Lots of choices really made me want to pull my hair. I even remember at one point they translated "onii-chan" into a 7-word text. On another occasion, they localized something along the lines of "You are pampering her too much" into "Here comes the knight in shining armor"... at some point, the localization just felt like it was out to kill all the funny bits in the game, the quirks and special dynamics between the characters, all translated into something completely different that does its best to kill how special the writer has made this game...
You know what's weird?... When people question why the average visual novel reader really doesn't want to support any localizing company. The amount of dickheads who get allowed to have a job and end up just ruining lots of games, I need to pay them while they are doing this?.... I would rather see the whole industry cease to exist than do this. I will support the games I like by trying my best to get merch or any type of product that will end up giving them as much money as possible without some other company cutting most of it, purchasing the English versions of visual novels is a joke, you are barely supporting the visual novel makers, and if anything, the only change you are doing is supporting those localizers to keep raping the industry...
All in all, it is still readable. It might be an average work for a moege, but it is sad to see good writing get tarnished in this way, even if it would have been fine for another moege that doesn't have strong prose to begin with.
The OST was fine. I liked the vocal song, other than that? Nothing really hit as hard as ATRI's BGM for comparison. But it was still at a higher level than the average moege, it gave very strong island/sea summer vibes, so it did its job quite well.
The art was surprisingly better than I thought at first. Takahiro Yashima designed the characters, he is an old name that worked on lots of other important Konno Asta games, and the game heroines looked very pretty. They had some unique sprites that I really liked, and the amount of variations was also good compared to how short the game is.
The CGs looked great, I can see myself using them in the future, something I like to do when I avatarpost on other sites, they don't deliver specific things for me to use, but they are fine for general usage when my post is vague.
The chibi art is drawn by none other than the great Makoto Taguchi... who also worked on lots of previous Konno Asta works. His work in ATRI -My Dear Moments- was nice, but I think he did an even better job in this game!... Those chibi CGs looked so good and cute, I even liked them more than the normal CGs T-T
Need to say, playing new games with a functioning engine is a real treat... the amount of functions was minimal, but they made sure my experience was as smooth as possible without any troubles at all. Especially the alt-tabbing thingy when the audio also gets cut... please do that more! T-T
Also, the game uses some built-in animations in such a cool way, for example those fireworks and sea sections. Great way to use technology!
Excuse the review if it felt weirder than the usual, I don't know how to write positive texts for games I like, this is why I usually don't write reviews for the games I like, this review took me way longer than my other reviews to write. I just write very slowly when I try to compliment them unlike the rush of words that comes to my mind when the review is about a kusoge ,-, I really don't think I should write anymore positive reviews... how many times did I write "review" and "write" in this section?....
Anyway, if anyone is interested, I have done a full blogpostation of the game on my Xitter account. There might be some spoilers?... It is a moege, so please go through it with care to not get spoiled, I didn't hide them like I usually do, didn't feel the necessity to do it with the moege plots, so if you are sensitive to that, ignore the thread~
/ourverdict/... a very fun moege to read, something very hard to find, I enjoyed my time with it, I love seasonal games that make you feel the season, and having Konno Asta write it?... it was just a real treat for me <3 ... 7/10~ At this moment, this game is one of the top 5 visual novels I have read this year so far <3

Image Just finished my first route in Majikoi. I only have one thing to say or, I mean, show:

Just finished Miyako's route which was also my first route in Majikoi.
In the common route I was divided between her and Momoyo with a little bit of interest to Yukie...so I decided to play momoyo last and shiina first as it was also the most natural flow from my self insert yamato pov and In the end I really liked her and her story!
But damn, my man Shuichi totally stole all the spotlight and I kinda felt more in love with him lol. I hope to see even more of him (and all of the buddies) in the next routes. This game is no bullshit, despite being an eroge I'm feeling that the love story and nsfw scenes are more of filler in a overarching "love letter to friendship" story...damn I really miss having a close friend group
PS: Thanks to anyone that suggested me majikoi as a suggestion for a vn with an ensemble cast...it is defn scratching my itch

Discussion Imabikisō on PC — recompilation project with an English translation preview
Hi everyone! I’m working on an experimental PC port of Imabikisō (忌火起草) using ps3recomp, with the goal of preserving the original game’s engine and behavior through recompilation.
To be transparent, this project is heavily assisted by AI, particularly ChatGPT/Codex and Claude Opus. I’m not claiming to have personally written or reverse-engineered everything. I’m coordinating the project, testing it and working through the problems with their help. Credit also goes to the people behind ps3recomp, which makes this approach possible.
The prototype currently reaches the opening classroom scene, and a small English preview covers some menus and opening text. It’s still early: audio crackling, movie stutters and other bugs remain, and the full game hasn’t been tested.
The planned English translation will be AI machine-translated, clearly labeled as such. Anyone interested in correcting it, contributing a human translation or creating another language version is welcome—the tools are there to support that too.
Any kind of help is appreciated: programming, debugging, testing, translation, documentation, or advice from people familiar with PS3 recompilation.
🔗 GitHub, screenshots and progress:
https://github.com/yasindevs/imabikisou-pc
The repository contains integration code and tools, not the game files. You’ll need your own copy of the game.

Release [English MTL Patch] Hapymaher -Fragmentation Dream- Regret End Version NSFW
galleryHello everyone,
I've been working on a few unofficial English MTL patches recently, and this time I've made one for Hapymaher -Fragmentation Dream- Regret End Version.
The patch was created using GPT-6.1 Sol and aims to make the game playable in English.
About the translation
The patch includes: - Translated game script - Translated choices and UI text
As with my previous patches, this is an AI-assisted machine translation, not a professional or fully human-edited translation. I've tried to catch obvious issues, but there may still be mistranslations, awkward phrasing, or formatting problems.
Download
You can find the patch through my VNDB profile:
The original Japanese game is required. The patch does not include the game itself.
Feedback
If anyone decides to give it a try, feel free to let me know if you encounter any translation errors, untranslated text, or technical issues.
I'm still experimenting with these AI-assisted translation workflows, so feedback is always appreciated.
Hope this helps anyone who's been wanting to play this version in English!

Discussion Fate Stay Night Remastered - cut content restored + Muv Luv Altered Fable Steam release(Photonmelodies) restoration patch
Someone built content restoration patches for FSN Remaster and Muv-Luv Altered Fable. Pretty nice to know it can be done.
https://x.com/Spoog__/status/2108231136006594702
https://x.com/Spoog__/status/2109494058632745004
Both require an install of the game, FSN requires remaster and and Réalta Nua Ultimate Edition due to copyright reasons as pointed out by the creator of patch
I imagine it means a patch for everything can now be created, regardless of platform differences, just by having an LLM decompile everything.
The only limitation pointed out by this person seems to be complaints about getting around content restrictions.

VN Request Non-nukige mother/son incest stories?
When it comes to sibling incest you can find a lot of visual novels that aren't nukiges and with actual plot and development to them, like Yosuga no Sora or 9 -nine-, but I don't know of anything equivalent for momcest.
So I figured I would ask to see if anything of the sort exists, and please something available in English since I can't read Japanese.

Question What visual novel do I read based on the classic tsundere heroine route
So I recently finished Yuzuyu route from Fureraba and she gave me type II diabetes. Of course, now I'm looking for more in order to possibly become the ultimate tsundere consumption lifeform or something.
Of course by "classic tsundere" I mean the ones that (preferably) just HATE the MC's guts from the beginning, mellow down throughout the story, and become permanently lovestruck after the big epic romantic confession scene or whatever, none of that perpetual "i-it's not like i like you anything baka" stuff. No.
With some vndb trait searching I found 8 visual novels, but as you can see a lot of them are kinda obscure as fuck and it's hard to decide which ones to go for:
- Sena Airi and Inui Sana from Mashiroiro Symphony
- Habane Kotori from If My Heart Had Wings
- Irina Vladimirovna Putina from My Girlfriend is the President
- Sumiyoshi Kureha from Onigokko!
- Hiiragi Mio from Koikata: How Our Love Grows
- Sagisawa Chiho from Princess Evangile
- Sakuragibashi Rito from Karigurashi Ren'ai
- Sakuragi Roofolet Ashe from Wagamama High Spec
My sensors are telling me the Sana route of Mashiroiro Symphony would be ABSOLUTE CINEMA, but hey, others might be too, I dunno. So if any of you have read at least one of these routes I would highly appreciate it you could give me all their impressions and how much sugar entered your bloodstream while reading them. Thanks!
As for my preferences, here I have attached a highly subjective tier list of classic tsundere heroines (mostly per vndb don't blame me) I have read for reference, in case you want to recommend other routes that I might not know about. They are categorized by how much sugar these heroines have injected into my bloodstream and do not necessarily reflect how good the story actually is. If there is a dude out there that read Muramasa's Hero route for the heart throbbing romance then please let me know.
I do know modern tsunderes can be good (damn I love Ushio from Ley-Line) but they're not really what I'm looking for, so I put them in the tier list too just in case anyone were to recommend me a Michiru

Question s it okay to play visual novels on a phone, especially 4:3 ones?
I've seen a lot of people say that playing visual novels on a phone is a worse experience than playing them on a PC, mainly because of the smaller screen. I get their point, especially when it comes to 4:3 visual novels, but I'm not sure I completely agree.
For those of you who have played visual novels on both PC and phone, how big is the difference, really? Does the smaller screen actually affect your enjoyment, or is it something you stop noticing after a while?
I don't have a PC at the moment, so I'm wondering if I'm missing out on a significantly better experience or if people are just being a little too picky about it.

Video What if Katawa Shoujo was an anime
Forgive the quality drop at the start, i was trying new things 😢
I made this short animation of one of my favourite moments from the game, the part where I personally fell in love with Lilly

VN Request Love triangle visual novels.
So I have finished White album 2 (Kazusa best girl btw), and I wish to play something similar. I need something which punches me in the gut, like white album 2, especially with imperfect characters and a well written love triangle. And especially someone like Kazusa (best girl btw). I have read other vns like Kimi ga nozomu eien, but I didn't really like the story not the characters tbh.
Aside from WA2, I've also read subahibi, euphoria , maggot baits, dead days, muv luv trilogy, kara no shoujo trilogy, 11eyes, Re:Life, Witch on the holy night, Nie no hakoniwa, Tokyo necro, Saya no uta, Damekoi (another vn written by maruto, but I didn't enjoy it tbh), etc. I'm not asking for Jun Maeda's works, because I'm planning to read them when I'm mentally prepared.

VN Request Visual novels where a bigger heroine puts her boobs on the smaller heroine
Picture is from full metal daemon Muramasa and that exact scenario doesn’t happen in full metal daemon Muramasa but it would be extremely hot if kanae otori puts her big boobs on Ichijou Ayane head. It would be more erotic than every h scene to have exist. So i ask is there any visual novel where this exact sequence happens in it?????? It would be a lot preferable of it hapenes to a loli character and the other is stated to be extremely tall also bonus point of it is incest.

Self-promotion Title: I made a short psychological visual novel called Axiom, and I'd love some honest criticism
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone!
I recently released my first psychological visual novel, Axiom. It's a short, introspective experience exploring isolation, anxiety, and the feeling of being trapped inside your own mind.
I'm not posting this just to promote my game. I'm currently working on my next chapter, and I'd genuinely like to understand what I could improve as a writer and developer.
I'd especially appreciate feedback on:
- Writing and dialogue: Do the characters feel believable? Does the writing ever feel awkward or unnatural?
- Pacing: Are there moments that drag, feel rushed, or should have been handled differently?
- Atmosphere and presentation: Does the art direction and sound design contribute to the experience?
- Choices and storytelling: Do the decisions feel meaningful? Is the story engaging enough to keep you interested?
- Overall experience: What worked for you, what didn't, and what would you change?
Please don't feel obligated to be positive. I'd rather hear a specific criticism that helps me improve than a vague compliment.
The game is free to play, with optional donations.
If you're interested, here's the game: https://alicejo.itch.io/axiom
Thanks to anyone willing to give it a try. Even a short, honest review would mean a lot to me as a beginner.

Discussion Is “I walk among zombies” vn good to read?
Knew about this game from the anime trailer, so I went to read the manga(current in chp 23). Don’t know why the manga version felt a bit confusing for me. But I actually liked the manga character design. How different is the VN version compared to the manga version? I heard there was also a LN version which never has an ending.
