Could someone help me recreate the synth that starts playing around 0:11 of Soda stereo unplugged version of 'Cuando pase el temblor'? to me it sounds like a mouth harp or something like that. im not sure if the player holds the key down using an arpeggiator or if he plays all the notes. Any advice?

Every time I try to make a synthwave bass like this, it comes out kinda thin sounding and not as “growly” as this. What am I doing wrong? I want this exact bass sound.

Obviously it's 6-op FM, so presumably I need the algorithm, ratios and levels for each operator. Dunno if there's much going on as far as individual envelopes for the operators. I'm assuming it's a fairly easy sound to make I'm just terrible at planning out FM.

I’ve been obsessed with this one background melody in The Japanese House’s Dionne for ages and I’m trying to figure out what it actually is and how to recreate it, best case on an OP-XY.

It’s this really distinctive, almost squawking, horn-like sound with a kind of organic, slightly pitch bend.

Hard to describe, but it almost sounds like some weird brass instrument or a synth trying to imitate one.

I’ve even tried isolating it with AI stem separation to get a usable sample, but there’s too much going on in the mix so that it doesn’t really work.

I’m pretty new to synthesis, so I’m not even sure whether it’s a synth, a heavily processed instrument or some kind of sample.

Does anyone have an idea what could be creating that sound, or how you’d approach recreating it? Any pointers would be massively appreciated!

How would you go about recreating the warpy pluck effect featured here?

I'm trying to recreate the sustained drone that enters around 3:00 in Ethel Cain's song “Perverts.” the harmonic, slightly metallic drone behind them. It almost sounds like a soft bell stretched indefinitely without the strike, with the higher tones in the background going up and down.
Does anyone know what type of synthesis or sound processing might create this? I'm using Vital, but I'm also curious what the original sound source might be.

I suspect some kind of pitch modulation, but I'm not sure.
