Discussion Saskatchewan Government to end testing for Chronic Wasting Disease?
This is very surprising and disappointing to me. What other testing options are available?

Turns out Sasktel doesn't have diverse path between Saskatoon and Regina. This has made it a prime candidate for the invasive species 'fibre-seeking-backhoe.'

I'm curious how much everyone is paying for SaskTel internet across Saskatchewan.
I'm in a rural area and paying $75/month for 100 Mbps for fiber optics. I've noticed that people in larger cities like Saskatoon seem to get better prices, so I'm wondering if rural customers are paying more for the same speed.

It's being run in my area and I'm in need of a new router. Is there a specific requirement so I can connect the router directly instead of using their equipment?
Right now I'm looking at the TP-Link Archer AX75 or GL.iNet GL-MT6000

I'm looking to find every restaurant in Saskatchewan that invented a regional food dish. So far I only know of Regina Style Pizza- invented at Houston Pizza. I haven't yet been able to find the specific inventor restaurant of the Frajolaki Sandwich. Does anyone know who specifically invented the Frajolaki, or any other specific food dish inventor restaurants in Saskatchewan?

I have family visiting from Mexico, and was planning on taking them to Waskesiu this Tuesday, should I expect most things in town to be closed? Or would the town still be fairly active?

Hey Saskatchewanians!
Rule 1 in r/Saskatchewan says that "Posts should focus on events, issues, or culture that affect Saskatchewan as a whole." But sometimes you might have a question or discussion that doesn't follow that rule.
Maybe you want to want to ask about "monkey budging" (Which isn't Saskatchewan specific).
Maybe you want to tell everyone how much your concrete patio cost, or ask what the temperature at the lakes is (neither of which affect Saskatchewan as a whole).
Or maybe you want to advertise an event happening in Regina (better suited for r/Regina), Saskatoon (better suited for r/Saskatoon), or Moose Jaw (better suited for r/MooseJaw) but is open to everyone from everywhere (elsewhere in Saskatchewan, or Canada, or beyond).
Well here's your (bi-weekly) chance! Comments in this thread are exempt from Rule 1; meaning they can be completely random and/or completely off-topic! However, the rest of the subreddit (and Reddit) rules still apply! For example:
This post will repeat on Mondays and Fridays at 08:00 AM CST.

Hey Reddit gang need some help with a whole home reverse osmosis unit. I dialysis at home and the well water quality is marginal. it's recommended if I continue at home to get a home RO to supply water to my dialysis setup in my bedroom. which already has its own water softener and RO unit. I dialysis 6‐7 times a week for 4‐5 hours and it consumes around 700‐800 liters per treatment plus the other water usage (cooking, showering etc). i live too far from city (1.5 hours) to commute for treatment and even if I could the max they would do at the hospital is 4 days a week which IMHO not enough. fuel is costing me arm and a leg just to survive and I'll take the hit for my own system.
is there someone independent or a good rep for a company they can recommend? I already have a drinking water RO, a sediment filter, water softner and regenerating iron filtration system. if anyone done a house setup let me know who you used, did you pay for outright? contract? what do you pay? Maintenance cost?
I enquired at culligans last week and they came and grab a water sample but I yet to hear back from them. i probably will be proactive and get a independent water sample done or grab the one the dialysis tech just did.
any help/comments is appreciated. I live between Nokomis and Strasburg on the east side of long lake.

The CRTC has given final approval to the work plan for a major rural fibre project in western Saskatchewan.
Access Communications will receive up to $12.89 million from the CRTC Broadband Fund to build approximately:
• 350 km of fibre infrastructure
• 36 network points of presence
• High-capacity transport serving 25 communities
• Infrastructure benefiting roughly 3,555 households and 11 anchor institutions
The communities include Thunderchild First Nation, Turtle Lake, Livelong, Metinota, Vawn and several smaller lake and rural communities in western Saskatchewan.
This funding was originally approved in November 2025. Today’s decision is different: the CRTC has now approved the detailed statement of work, allowing the project to move into its funded implementation phase.
The CRTC also granted Access Communications some unusual flexibility because it is a community-owned non-profit co-operative.
Instead of waiting for quarterly reimbursements, Access can submit claims as often as monthly and can claim eligible costs once they are incurred rather than waiting until they are fully paid.
The approved completion date is December 2028.
The infrastructure must also offer wholesale and retail open access at funded network points, meaning other providers can potentially use the new transport network too.
