I'm visiting Pittsburgh for the first time this week and wanted to see some of the spots from Me and Earl and the Dying Girl. Does anyone recognize these two locations showing a set of stairs and the other being a street with a smokestack at the end of it.

I have been debating on making this post but the police negligence finally endangered my life.

This morning I was walking across a street in the Strip and an officer was speeding in a 25MPH zone, while distracted and didnt see me crossing the street and I had to jump out of the way. No lights no sirens. Then he whipped a turn with no turn signal.

I wish I would've gotten the vehicle information but it happened so fast and I was in shock. We seriously need to hold our police force to a higher standard.

The road work in and around Bloomfield and Liberty Ave has been tough on local businesses in that area, just wanted to shoutout the best burrito I’ve had since I’ve lived in Pittsburgh and urge as many people as possible to visit. Obviously not just Baby Loves Tacos, any of the great spots along Liberty can really use support. Thanks!

I cannot stress enough how much I would not recommend C Harper for buying a car. Has anyone else had an absolutely terrible experience with them?? I need input on if my experience was normal.

For background- I am a first time car buyer, have great credit (800s), and make a good salary. My biggest worry about buying my car was that I’m a younger girl (mid 20s) and that I wouldn’t be taken seriously.

I had looked at the car I wanted for months, saw C Harper had it, and traveled over an hour to get it from there. Got to the dealership and they had the car ready for me to drive, answered all my questions and were extremely nice. When we sat down to discuss pricing- they offered my a new grad discount and a loyalty discount. I also I had a few thousand dollars to put down on the vehicle- I felt this was a good deal. They told me my financing was approved! Yay! I go back to the financing guy- he tried to sell me a warranty I declined. He tried to push the warranty I declined. Signed my offer, gave them my down payment check, left with my new car. Yay!

Three days later someone from C Harper calls me to tell me that I was not actually qualified for the new grad discount ($500 off) and that I need to call them immediately (but it was 5pm so they were leaving for the day). They call me the next day saying they now need a photo of my first pay stub and a new pic of my diploma (they did not ask me for a pay stub at the dealer). Then they texted me every few hours while I was at work about this. I asked for them to please stop texting me and to email me so this could all be documented. They don’t listen and continue to text me.

I send an email with my diploma and my pay stub to the finance person. I also stated I did not authorize any changes to my contract that I signed when I was at the dealership. I never get a response, I never hear from them again- I get an email to set up my account to confirm my financing and start making my payments.

Today, I made my first car payment! Love my new car! However- I check my mail and have A LETTER FROM C HARPER?? THE LETTER SAYS “your financing fell through”??? It says if I have questions to call the number above- THERE IS NO NUMBER?? THERE IS ALSO NO SIGNATURE?? This letter was dated for last week, I just got it today. But all my financing is set up??

The letter has the C Harper logo, not my car manufacturer (who the financing is through) and I made my payment and it’s all set up on my account??

Has this ever happened to anyone before? Everyone I have asked has never had this experience??

On our way home today, traveling east towards Murrysville, we passed a handful of police cruisers, something that looked like a Armored Security Vehicle, a SWAT vehicle and 4 - 5 ambulances, all with their lights on, on the opposite side of the road.

I could see uniformed men with rifles lined up inside the ASV. What was going on? Sorry, I don't have the exact location, but wondered if anyone else saw this

Anyone know what happened yesterday around 5:30/6? I think the intersection was Forbes and S Dallas, outside that cemetery. Cops were blocking all four directions and putting up red tape. I saw what looked like a crumpled bike and some glass from a broken taillight. Haven’t heard anything, so hoping that means nobody was seriously hurt.
