I found this West Point Cadet jacket belonging to Major Franklin Staph Shawn at a flea market in ldaho, I used Ancestry.com to find his great grand niece. After talking and finding out her daughter is now a commercial pilot and her husband and son both served in the Navy I knew she needed to get this back. I mailed it out today to her today, at my own cost, not going to charge her for a piece of her family heritage. He was part of the Army Air Corp, which was a predecessor to the Air Force in WW2. He crashed off the coast of Fiji in 1943, and is remembered in Hawai. Hopefully someday I can visit to pay my respects to him and all the other soldiers/ airmen. I have collected military memorabilia for a long time, but this was my best find, and best end result.

I was looking for information about this dagger. My dad bought it back from Italy after WW2.

Hi, I was hoping someone can help identify this piece of ordinance that I found back in the '70s in Lynchburg, Virginia. I found it in a pile of similar ordinances discarded behind someone's house with weeds growing all over them. I took one home and kept it ever since. Could someone help identify what this is?

It's approximately 12 in Long and probably about 15 to 20 lb in weight. Originally had four fins at the bottom. One of them broke off. The fins are very thin

Also considering the fact it has no cap, has a hole in the bottom and you can see light through it, I've always considered it be inert.

Just received this MGC (Shin-Nihon Mokei) Thompson M1921 model gun.

The contrast between the deep blued metal receiver and the rich, beautifully grained wood stock is incredible. The machining lines, sharp "MODEL OF 1921" markings, and the overall fit and finish truly capture the craftsmanship of vintage Japanese model guns. A gorgeous piece for any classic SMG collection!

Full history here: https://www.frenchfunerals.com/obituaries/gordon-hennessy ,served 26 years with the 25th's medical corps, and served in Vietnam as a company commander, I've found noted and business cards in his uniform, dating from the 1980's.

I bought this uniform for the ribbon bar but it has been a pain trying to identify if anyone could help!

I am working on trying to identify a very unusual SS Tunic for a friend, Im not going to get into the details on it in this post as there are many anomalies with it but also many things that wont let me declare it a 100% fake (I had thought it was a fake assembled from some genuine insignia). The point of this post is to discuss the Blood Order ribbon it.

This ribbon is the only item on the jacket that failed the UV test, the thing is it is made of the correct ribbon with the correct exposed weft at the edges, but it glowed like white socks in skating rink. It is clearly not some recent reproduction ribbon as this jacket was purchased about 30 years ago from a claimed original order. There is so much with this that has me wondering why and I have reached out to several dealers to see what they think of the jacket overall, but what are yalls thoughts on this blood ribbon?

I may post more about the jacket itself later.

I just found this in a junk drawer at a yard sale and got it for like 5 bucks is it original and what was it used for?

Hey guys, this is a supposed Russian WWI gymnastyorka. I know the buttons are real, but do guys the about the rest of the tunic? I had someone tell me he thinks it’s a model 1942 tunic.

I recently came across this old British safari/pith helmet and have been trying to learn more about its history.
The gold-stamped maker’s crest inside appears to match Thomas Townend & Co. of London. I’ve found examples of Victorian-era helmets by this manufacturer, but I’m having trouble narrowing down the age and original purpose of this particular style.
It has a cream-colored cloth exterior, wrapped band, green underside, and pink interior lining with the manufacturer’s crest.
I’m particularly curious whether this would have been intended for civilian safari/tropical use or whether it has any military connection.
Does anyone recognize this particular pattern or know approximately when Thomas Townend produced helmets like this?
Any historical information or references to similar examples would be greatly appreciated.

I saw this a unique arm band in the linked video at about 4:15 and I was just curious what it represents. I have never seen one like it and I have been unable to identify it online.

Anyone know what this is? Sorry for the poor quality, the video is old lol

Got this coat forever ago and just started too look into but cant find too much on it, its definitely a part of the medical service based on the pins and other factors point to it being for a higher rank, please let me know what yall think!

P.s. I also found these (some broken) pins in the pocket when I got it

Hello guys, what is a fair price for an unmarked Iron cross 2nd class from 1939? I was thinking around 70-80€? Is my estimate good or am I off?
