I really like this silver, and it was between it and the deep blue since they didn't have black... (17PM) and so I got the deep blue and... I like it although... I just think iPhones and their firmware and everything are getting sloppy these days? All of the following companies are getting sloppy with how they are designing their phone because if you actually know, when you look at this phone, it is designed to break?!! with that big ass camera brick on the back, even when you put it in a case, it is still uneven, which allows points of weakness for something like a car running over it to take advantage of and break it all to hell...
I had a LG Smartphone I got from Walmart on the Straight Talk plan years ago that I ran over with my car in the driveway twice by mistake. Working on the car one day, and it had tire tread going over it, but it did not break at all. You know why?

I went in store and saw all the colours the other day, and the silver was the only one that you couldn't see the fingerprints of a million previous customers on. The burgundy looked kind of brown rather than the deep red tone it appears to be in photos. The glacier was nice, but definitely had lavender tones, and was still a fingerprint magnet. Black was fine, but again, fingerprint magnet. The silver looked clean, timeless and no visible fingerprints.
I don't dislike any of the colours, but I'll be going with silver.
Are we thinking that some people just like bright and vibrant colors just because?
I mean my wife got the orange because she likes bright colors also for clothes. My daughter wants the burgundy iPhone because the color is what she likes about the phone.
Yep. Glacier is silver…but better. It’s both understated yet stylish. Silver is just silver, nothing good nothing bad to say about it really. Normally I’d say color debates are kinda pointless when most people use cases, but with this giant camera cutout these days, as well as the edges showing on some cases in the front, the color choice is more important. I almost went with black, but I know that shit is gonna show smudges and finger prints like crazy…plus it’ll be really apparent when it gets scratched
You don’t seem to have colors in this image. If you are not into colorful lifestyle and instead like more the Nordic muted (shades of grey) then yeah i guess you are right. I bought silver because it is less personal so easy to resell.
There’s people who like light colors (silver and glacier) and there’s people who like darker colors (burgundy and black) me personally I am more of a lighter color person however I can see why people might like the burgundy for me if you want a dark color just get black but thats just my opinion.
And I love Black which is why Apple makes several colors … silver is not as nice light color wise compared to that Apple white, but you won’t be able to convince me otherwise the same way I won’t be able to - we’re different humans who like different things - what’s “best for you” ain’t the best because you said so mate.
People bought a bright orange phone last year because they wanted it to be beyond any doubt that they have the newest iPhone. The color itself doesn’t matter. People will buy literally anything as long as it’s the hero color.
Nostalgia hit me hard on that orange iphone last year. It was almost the exact same color as my very first cell phone, the LG Envy and god I loved that thing back in high school.
Most people buying the burgundy is because they want to show off they’re using the latest iphone 18 pro. Most you will see them naked or clear case to show their status lol. I got the silver and most cant tell if i have a 17 or 18. Dont really care
You get burgundy if you want people around you to know you have the latest iPhone. Just like in the case with 17 Pro Orange. But a year later everyone will know you have the old model. :))
I was just lucky to get the 18 Pro Max in black since I'm pretty sure that's the highest demand iPhone Pro/Pro Max right now. Burgundy was actually pretty easy to find I just didn't want it cause it looked kinda dull at the Apple store.
Had to basically stalk the apple site once I noticed they were randomly dropping them for pickup at random apple stores around the Toronto GTA. Ended up having to go to Square One in Missisauga to grab it.
I love every shade of red or anything close to it. So burgundy for me. Silver will always be a classic though. Would've been my pick is there was no burgundy.
Ultimately, color is a matter of personal taste but I do agree with the idea that silver is the most practical and balanced color for this aluminium design within the confines of objectivity. It's also a historical signature color for apple so you can't go wrong with it.
I got silver preorder, went to the store, and ended up liking Burgundy a LOT. Silver was just really bland for me. But it works well with many cases I guess

Every year the people that want the new stand out color clash with the people that stick to the classics.
Most people can agree that regardless of your color choice, you’ll eventually get bored of it and want something different. Whether it’s every year or every 3-5 years.
Especially with these last few extremely incremental generations, where the new color has been the biggest talking point.
All I ever want is black or the darkest gray, and last year there was no option. I suffered through a year of mandatory color, but so glad to finally be back to black. I’m not upgrading in the future if they don’t offer black.
It’s truly mind-boggling how hard Apple makes it to stick with neutral blacks and grays. It’s the same way with Apple Watch. Even the “after dark black” Nike Sport Band is splotchy and two-toned with an ugly beige, and the equivalent Nike Sport Loop has random splotches and contrasting gray stripes and squiggles. I just want black on black, dang it!
The burgundy is nice but if I upgraded it would be to silver. I wish they would make a white phone again honestly. But ditch aluminum. It’s cheap and feels cheap

I always like the new colors at first but every time I buy a colorful phone (baby pink is the exception) I get tired of it or it clashes with phone cases, etc. all very silly and subjective things. regardless I love the burgundy and the glacier!
I got silver bc I wanted a color that would go with any case. However I was blown away once I actually saw it in person. It looks so clean and gorgeous that I am using a clear case for a little while.
I moved from a 13 to a 18 pro max. The differences are stark. I just took whatever color they had available in 512 GB: glacier. I love it. Trying to figure out all the camera functions, which is the primary reason i upgraded.
Got the Burgundy simply because I liked the look. Previous phone was the yellow iPhone 14. The world is slowly turning into a colourless Nordic Noir with just a bunch of grey tones.
I just bought silver because it was the hardest colour to go wrong with, will reduce the chance of the phone being stolen as thieves can’t tell what it is with a case on unless they look at the screen, and reminds me of classic Apple products including my first two iPhones (silver 5 and 5s)
Burgundy is an amazing color like my 13 sierra blue. It shifts tone so amazingly well. From a bright true mercury-purple burgundy red all the way to an almost “blackened grape”. In between it has a very grape like finish. The color also changes in warm lighting too.
It’s not often they do something like a red-purple as a flagship so it looks nice.
Went into the Apple Store didn’t really like the Burgundy as it looks better on screen. The Glacier caught my eye. Probably cause it reminds me of the 13 series Sierra Blue
I'm yet to see the Burgundy in real life. The orange is awful. I have the 16pro in the light cream colour ( whatever name it was) and love it. Before I had the 13Pro in Sierra Blue and I hated it. Looked more like grey than blue and nothing like the baby blue in apple website. Best to check real colours in the shops. Lesson learnt
Got the blue but really didn't like the purple / lavender hue compared to previous blues. Swapped for the Silver, 1st time since the iPhone 5 and really like the colour...
