Discussion Found a site that emulates the original iPhone OS 1.0 in your browser
https://2007.mobile/I'm really curious how this was done. I've been looking for a project like this for a long time. Does anyone know if it's built on actual ios 1assets or recreated from scratch?

I remember camping out overnight at the Apple Store for the launch. It was at an outdoor mall and me and 3 friends all brought chairs and setup a GameCube and a TV and convinced the security guy to let us run an extension cord to an outlet in a maintenance closet next to the store. We ran a Smash Bros and Mario Kart tournament with the other people there. We ordered a bunch of pizzas and stayed up all night having a good time! The next day, Chic-fil-a showed up with free biscuits, orange juice and coffee. The Apple Store employees were SUPER excited and playing music and getting everyone hyped up.
It was a ton of fun and made some great memories.

Is there any hint that this is being emulated? It is pretty slow, so that might be something.

Wait this is so cool. Honestly I really want one for iOS 6 and iOS 9, my two favorite versions

It'd be cool if the "Usage" feature tracked the overall total time spent on the site by all users.

Saw a reddit post about this before it's just being simulated everything is preprogrammed, it's not emulated. I saw the post from the creator before.
All similar to this post:https://www.reddit.com/r/Skeuomorphism/comments/1wdu34r/built_an_ios_6_simulator/

It’s very high fidelity, in that case. I would expect them to fake the weather app instead of letting the now dead API call fail, if it were all simulated.

Can't they fake the API failures to make it look more realistic and avoid more complex things? Stop larping smartness. Ios was never open source it would be impossible to put online. There are multiple signs too like the boot screen.

It doesn’t need to be open source. You can download a copy of the OS freely. You just need to trick it into running somewhere it isn’t supposed to.

I miss iOS before iOS7. If I could go back, I would. I miss the professionalism and finer details of the previous software design.

In case if you're stupid and can't tell this is just a mock up 😂 (everybody here)
How "smart" should you be to tell this is fake? (Photo here for people who need absolute proof, there is no SN and model and imei and everything.)

Also from the get go it looked like one of the fake projects like https://www.reddit.com/r/Skeuomorphism/comments/1wdu34r/built_an_ios_6_simulator/

Too bad there’s no internet on this. So no jailbreakme.com
