Success Story Success Story Mega Thread - Got your BFP? We want to hear about it!

This is your space to share your success story with the community that cheered you on. Whether it took you 1 cycle or 12, your story matters and someone out there needs to hear it right now.

When sharing please include anything you feel comfortable with such as how many cycles it took, what you were tracking, what worked for you, and anything you wish you had known at the start.

When sharing your story feel free to use this format:

  • Cycles it took:
  • What I tracked/tools:
  • What I think helped:
  • Anything I wish I knew at the start:
  • Any advice for others still in the TWW:
  • A few things to keep in mind:

This thread is for everyone who has been trying for any length of time. All success stories are valid here, whether cycle 1 or cycle 12+. Please be kind and keep any negative thoughts to yourself.

Please don't tag other users in your post. You can absolutely thank people, just don't tag them directly. This keeps the thread comfortable for everyone, including those who may find BFP posts difficult to see.

If you have nothing kind to add, please scroll on.

Comments that are unkind or gatekeeping will be removed.

Congratulations and welcome to the next chapter! 🌸

Hey everyone! A few quick updates from the mod team 💛

Nothing major, just some housekeeping to make the sub easier to navigate for everyone. Thanks in advance for bearing with us!

  • Flairs got a refresh — We updated the post flairs, so please use them when you post! It just makes it way easier for people to scroll and find exactly what they're looking for (or avoid what they're not in the mood for). If you feel like we're missing one, drop a comment or shoot us a message, we're always open to suggestions.
  • BFPs go in the megathread — We've got a pinned Success Stories megathread and we'd love for all the exciting news to live there so we can celebrate together in one spot!
  • Discharge pics need a trigger warning — If you're posting about discharge and want to add a pic, please use the Trigger Warning flair, blur the image, and pop it in the comments rather than the main post. Small thing, but it keeps the feed comfy for everyone scrolling.
  • Line eyes? We've got you, but keep pics in the comments — We all know that feeling of staring at a test way too long trying to decide if that's a line or a shadow. Totally normal, no judgment! Just use the "Line Eyes - Help!" flair and keep the pictures in the comments instead of the post itself. Reason being, when posts get flooded with test pics, it can be harder for yours (and everyone else's) to actually get seen and get the support you need. This just helps spread the love around a bit better

Just a heads up: posts that don't follow the line eyes or discharge picture guidelines will be removed, so we really appreciate you helping us keep this consistent for everyone.

Thanks so much for helping us keep this space easy to use and kind, as always. Questions or ideas? Drop them below, we read everything!

Venting Got my period the same day my friend gave birth

It really hit hard today as I feel like we’d nailed timing this month, got a really strong lh positive and we were on holiday (less stress!) so I thought we were in for a great chance! Sadly on the flight home I got my period a week early which is just a further kick in the teeth that I didn’t even get to do a proper TWW!

When I landed I found out my friend had given birth. Over the moon for them but so jealous at the same time. Why does it seem easy for everyone else?

Confused Do you ever wonder how on earth some people have multiple children?

My partner and I have been trying for a while, and it blows my mind that some people manage to not just do this successfully once, but twice, even three, four+ times. It feels like such a big thing to get pregnant once - all the tracking, OPKs, BBTs, the TTW, the bloodwork, etc. all just to try and make even one baby happen. I guess I’m feeling down and discouraged. I don’t know how some women manage to get lucky so many times, or even just once.

Excited! First time tracking LH with PCOS. Don’t give up on a long cycle! (CD 27 jump)

Post image
2 Upvotes

This is my very first time tracking my LH using strips, and I just wanted to share a quick win for anyone with PCOS who gets discouraged by long cycles.

Because of my PCOS, my cycles are unpredictable and I always assumed I just wasn't ovulating at all. For weeks, my tests were completely flat, hovering around 0.10 to 0.20. By Cycle Day 19, I was ready to throw in the towel.
But I kept testing daily, and over the last few days, my baseline finally started creeping up into the 0.30s. Today is Cycle Day 27, and my ratio just jumped to 0.55!

It’s still technically "low" since it hasn't crossed a 1.0 peak yet, but it’s a major upward trend and the highest line I've seen. If you have PCOS and a calendar app tells you that you missed your window on Day 14, please keep testing! Our bodies just take a longer runway to mature an egg.
I’m testing again tonight to see if this turns into a true peak. For those with PCOS, how late in your cycle do you usually get your actual surge?

Question/Advice Anyone get pregnant after starting Wegovy and Metformin? Insulin resistance, spotting, and TTC

Hi everyone! I’m 23 and my husband and I have been TTC for a few months now. I recently went to the doctor because I’ve been struggling with my weight, insulin resistance, and some concerns about my cycles. I was prescribed oral Wegovy and Metformin ER 500 mg, and I’m curious if anyone has been in a similar situation and eventually had success getting pregnant.
A little background on me:
I stopped birth control in June 2025 after being on Depo for about 5 years and then the pill for around 2 years.
My cycles range anywhere from 27–35 days, but are usually around 31–32 days.
I’ve tracked ovulation using LH strips and cervical mucus. I seem to ovulate, but the timing varies from around CD 13–22.
My luteal phase is usually around 11–12 days.
For the past few months, I’ve noticed spotting around 11 DPO, usually 1–3 days before my actual period starts.
I’m 5’5” and around 198 pounds, and my bloodwork recently showed some insulin resistance.
I haven’t been diagnosed with PCOS or endometriosis, but I’ve wondered if something hormonal could be going on.
I’ve been taking prenatals and trying to do everything I can to improve my chances. I was honestly getting a little obsessive with tracking everything, so this month I’ve tried to relax and not focus so much on LH testing.
My doctor knows we’re actively TTC, but I plan to clarify the pregnancy safety and timing recommendations for Wegovy before taking it.
I’m really hoping that addressing my insulin resistance and getting healthier will help regulate my cycles and improve my fertility.
**Has anyone with insulin resistance (with or without PCOS) gotten pregnant after starting Metformin?** Did it help regulate your ovulation, improve spotting, or make your cycles more consistent? I’d also love to hear from anyone who used Wegovy before TTC and noticed improvements after stopping it.
I know everyone’s body is different, but TTC has been a lot more emotional than I expected, especially when my body seems to be doing what it’s supposed to but pregnancy still hasn’t happened. I’d love to hear any experiences or success stories from women who have been through something similar! ❤️

Confused 6dpo and confused

I am 6 Dpo today and woke up feeling like I have a cold (runny nose/congestion) and my BBT is +1.3 and it has never spiked that high before. I’m not sure I even ovulated this cycle because I never got a positive LH test (it got dark but not positive). Also, my temps only went up a tiny bit after my “ovulation” date. Could this be early pregnancy or do I just have a cold/lowgrade fever 🤷🏻‍♀️

Question/Advice Anything we should know before we start trying?

I've been taking prenatal vitamins for about 4-5 months now and will be taking my IUD out next week! We won't start trying immediately as I've been on birth control since I was 14 and would like to regulate my body a bit prior.

I guess my question is, is there anything I should know about before starting to try? We are both 36 living in Germany.

Thanks!

Confused LH testing after stopping birth control

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I stopped taking my birth control at the end of September. Now I’ve been testing my LH levels (easy@home) since day 1 of my cycle. At first, the levels rose normally (from 0.01 to 0.2, etc.), but for about 7 days now, they’ve remained at a slightly higher level (0.3/0.4 to 0.5). Has anyone had a similar experience? I don’t expect to ovulate right away in my first cycle, but when I compare my LH results with others, the numbers surprise me a bit.

Confused When did I ovulate?

I had a positive OPK on cd 15, natural cycles says i ovulated on cd 16 using that and my bbt from oura but oura says i ovulated on cd 18. Which would you consider more accurate? Im assuming i ovulated on cd 16 but oura has me second guessing😵‍💫 we were able to baby dance on cd 9, 11, 13 and 15 so im praying we had good enough coverage this month

Question/Advice I am apprehensive about the process of IUI in India, what are the chances of sperms getting mixed with other patients?

Hello Fellow TTCers,

Me and my wife have been trying to conceive for last 2 years and all our reports have been normal. Including her HSG but still no pregnancy. I am 38 and she is 34. After some online reading she has now started tilting towards IUI. I am just apprehensive about the process. Is there a way somebody who has conceived successfully via IUI can guide me about the process and protocols hospitals have to follow in India?

I asked this question to one of the gynac and she told me they process only one sample per day and that's how samples don't get mixed. But that didn't convince me enough about the process. I mean I am not going to be with them to verify if they are processing only one sample of 100s of them per day. Is there a better way to get this done?

Thank you!

Trigger Warning Trying again after miscarriage

Well. After falling pregnant our first cycle trying, I miscarried at 11 weeks. We’ve been told to wait 3 weeks but I want to wait at least one full cycle before we even think about trying again. My body and our souls are still healing and I don’t want to rush into it. Those that have been able to shift back into a TTC space, how long did you wait, did anything ease your anxiety about trying again, and did you wait to start testing ovulation? I suppose helping my brain to have some kind of plan for the future (even if it’s. It the near future) is easing my pain and giving me structure.

Question/Advice 3rd cycle trying but 1st cycle properly tracking

Post image
4 Upvotes

I (f 28) and my husband (29) started ttc in August and we honestly thought it would have happened by now. This was my first cycle tracking BBT and LH as well as PdG and everything seems to fine? But I’ve taken a test everyday since 10DPO all tests are negative, my temperature is still elevated and I keep holding on to hope that maybe a faint line will show up tomorrow but unfortunately it hasn’t :(
I know 3 cycles isn’t that long but I’m feeling discouraged and sad and if anyone could help me understand my chart better/give me advice it really appreciate it!
