I got stood up and dont know what to think

• Upvotes

I’m a 23-year-old guy, and I was supposed to meet a girl I genuinely liked. We had agreed that she would come over, and when I asked her earlier when she was coming, she said around 8 PM.
She never showed up and didn’t let me know that anything had changed. As the evening went on, I eventually texted her, saying, “I’m guessing you made other plans, then?”
She replied much later with, “Huh? Hahahaha.” That was it. She didn’t explain herself or acknowledge that we had plans and that I had been waiting for her.

I was frustrated and disappointed, so I told her that she could have just said she didn’t want to meet instead of wasting my time like that.
The next morning, I discovered that she had blocked me.

What makes this especially disappointing is that I genuinely liked her and had been looking forward to seeing her. I wasn’t expecting anything extraordinary from her, just basic communication and consideration. If she had changed her mind or made other plans, I would have preferred her to tell me directly rather than leave me waiting without an explanation.

I understand that people can change their minds, and I’m not saying anyone owes me a date. But if you make plans with someone, surely the decent thing to do is let them know if you’re no longer coming.

I’m now wondering whether my response was too harsh or whether my frustration was justified. Was I overreacting by calling out her behaviour, or was she being genuinely disrespectful? And what do you make of the fact that she blocked me the following morning rather than simply explaining what happened?

Serial womanizers/cheaters - are you actually capable of change?

• Upvotes

I want as honest of an answer as I can get please. For context, currently dating a man who was a serial womanizer and cheater in his 20s, only had one long-term/serious relationship in his entire life where he constantly cheated on her (early 20s), and has slept with countless women. He'll be 30 next year and it took us a year before we actually started dating officially, and he is adamant that he wants to turn a new leaf in his life, and that he sees me as the one. He told me he put off making it official with me for so long until he was 100% sure that he was capable of turning a new leaf in his life, quitting his womanizing ways, and would not repeat the mistakes of his past and hurt me. He genuinely seems to love me and constantly demonstrates this every day by taking proactive steps. He's adamant that he's changed and that he's learned a lot from the life that he has lived and he has reached a point where he's tired of that lifestyle and has evolved as an individual. He also claims that what he's done for me he has never done for any other woman (To be fair, he is a brutally honest person and since I met him he never told me that he was a saint, so I believe this truly). He cleaned his social media of any women, did the things that I asked for, etc. However, the big question is, are men like this ACTUALLY capable of reform? Or is it a "reformed phase"? I'm scared that his past is a series of habits that are ingrained in his personality and that can only be tamed for a short while until he becomes tempted again at some point, although he always reassures me that it's not the case, and that if it were, he wouldn't have made it official to begin with. I'm curious if any of you have had a past like this and if you ACTUALLY changed for the right woman and why? Did your past habits haunt you at any point?

I think I ruined a good thing, or maybe I was right... I don't know

• Upvotes

Hi strangers on the internet, I need some outside perspective because no one can give me straight advice and I feel like I am going crazy.

Me (23F) and this guy (30M) have been connected since May, industry "friends," but there was an underlying vibe and chemistry from the beginning. It came to a head about a month ago when we met up in person and it went better than I expected. We talked, found we had a lot in common, were aligned on a lot of things, and I found him really easy to be around. After that the "vibe" became actually romantic. We were openly flirty and enjoyed each other's company without any pressure.

About a week ago we had a really great date, planned to meet up again over the weekend, and went our separate ways. We kept it cute over text, but I started to notice he barely texted back (I don't hold the late replies against him that much because we're both busy) but when he did it was usually around 11pm. He would'nt call. or make a move to see me. The weekend plans he suggested never happened because he had "errands" to run but then on his story he had just gone solo bike-riding, and I basically waited all weekend for him to give me any attention, and I really hated how that felt.

He says all the right things, and I do think he genuinely likes me. But the gap between how good it is when we're together and how little he shows he wants to talk to me or be around me left me confused and hurt in a way I didn't expect. I tried the "match his energy" thing, texting back late and acting nonchalant, and it just made me more miserable. and I realised I probably like him a lot more than he likes me. (which is okay, I can't fault a person for their feelings) And since I'm not actually his girlfriend, I'm not really entitled to more, but knowing that didnt help, it just made it worse. So I called it.

I sent this message after a the failed weekend and a long silence and this is how the conversation went:
___________________________________________________

Me: Hey [M30]✨

going to be straight with you rather than have this waste our time with endless small talk. I think I have been upfront about my intentions and how I feel and I've really enjoyed getting to know you, but don’t think you’re that into me, which is okay but it’s obvious to me that there hasn’t been much of the the effort or interest I'd need to keep pursuing this, so I think it would be better to just let it fade.

No hard feelings. I think we could stay friendly and keep connecting on the industry side like we did at the start.

wishing you all the best❤️

Him: Hi [me]✨

I am, i think I’m awkward about my feelings. I also don’t think we were having a lot of small talks. I’m just taking it easy but I should have maybe said that. I like you a lot and I didn’t want to rush I enjoyed our pace..

Uhm thank you I guess

I hope you good and your day wasn’t bad and I’m sorry

❤️

Me: I appreciate you for being honest, and real chat: reading this made me feel a bit bad. I like you too, but I couldn't tell where I stood with you

I hope you're brave for the right girl✨

❤️

Him: Sorry❤️‍🩹
Him: 😭

___________________________________________________

His response and his behaviour since have me wondering if it all got too much for me and I threw it out before telling him what I needed.

part of me (hoped) he would hear me and then try harder... but he just said sorry

We're "friendly(?)" now, casual conversations and and engaging with each other's stories...

but sometimes in casual work related conversations he will say things that feel like double entendres with a deaper, heavier meaning... for example:
___________________________________________________

Me: *commented on some of his work, gives him some advice*

Him: I will, I need to design two more then I will run them all - I listen to you, I just cooking and lifing

Me: Yea no pressure, I just thought it was really good ,I’m not rushing you or anything

Him: You don’t feel like pressure to me

Him: Thanks I will

___________________________________________________

It's been a few days and I can't stop thinking about the whole thing and about him.

I feel regret, which isn't like me. to know me is to know that I do what my heart says and saying what I need to always, because I don't want to live with missed opportunities.
An experience when I was younger made me very aware that life is short. I'd rather be hurt or embarrassed than wonder "what if," because the what-ifs are worse than heartbreak for me.

adult dating is also new territory for me, I've been single for almost 9 years, there have been some situations during that time but nothing serious or worthwhile.

I have been ruminating, asked a few people in my circle for some advice but I'm stuck between two things. Part of me wants to reach out and say what I should have said first (I need regular contact and more effort made), and part of me wants to wait to see if he tries to pursue me so I can say "yes, let's try again," which might just be pride.

Do I reach out or leave it? Did I self-sabotage, or did I read it right?

Am i an avoidant or am i just not that interested

• Upvotes

So basically I (F25) have just been dating a lot lately after years of being afraid because of past trauma, so everything is quite new to me. I have been dating guys who are for the most part ok and cute but I always feel like after one or two dates that it’s not gonna do it for me, I don’t feel anything. The thing is I know I can feel giddy and crush on people but I always crush on guys who don’t really give a f about me. At this point i’m just asking myself if i might be an avoidant (which I hate) or if I just haven’t found the right person yet ?

[24F] Caught between my best friend of two years [26M] and a newer guy friend [25M] and I feel like I'm losing my mind

• Upvotes

Hello, I've never posted before so bear with me. (All names are made up for privacy). For some context, I’m (24f) and currently in my second year of college majoring in psychology (which is hilarious/painful right now because I am completely failing to analyze my own life).

About two years ago, back in my first year, I was paired up with a guy in one of my classes named Jessie (26). We completely clicked right away and have been best friends ever since. We do everything together. Mostly hanging out outside of classes, studying for hours in the library, playing video games in his dorm on weekends, or driving down to the beach. Back when we first met during our first year, Jessie actually confessed to me and asked me out on an official date. I said yes at the time, but after a month I just found dating him very awkward and weird, and broke it off because I just wanted a solid friendship and genuinely thought we were better off as friends. He took it really well at the time.

Enter Milo. Milo is a newer friend of mine - we’ve been hanging out for about five or six months now. He’s 25 and takes a criminal justice class, so we initially bonded over how overlapping our majors are and the shared exhaustion of our coursework. I mostly see him on Friday nights or weekends. We go to cafes for coffee, and I’m usually his plus-one at parties he goes to. When I’m with Milo, I laugh a lot, I feel super carefree, and honestly, I find myself thinking about him a lot when we’re apart.

Things were fine until August, when I made the monumental mistake of introducing Jessie to Milo. Ever since they met, things have been so weird. They get into these very tense arguments. I’m calling them arguments, but it’s more like this subtle, obnoxious "manly" one-upmanship. At first, I tried to brush it off, but lately, I’ve started wondering if the real reason Jessie is acting like this is because he’s never actually gotten over his feelings from our first year. Thankfully, after mentioning how weird their behavior has been, they've stopped "fighting," at least in front of me.

And here is where I'm losing my mind. I think I might have feelings for Jessie now. Is that completely crazy? For two years, he was just my platonic best friend. But recently, I've started noticing so much more about him. Like how the light looks on his skin, and he has a really cute nose, (am I weird?) And within this past month alone, both of them have basically been "wooing" me (if that's even the right word).

Jessie has been super sweet lately, which is normal for him, but he’s started insisting on paying for the takeout we get during our Saturday study sessions, and he’s been pushing to hang out even more than usual. The other week, we were watching Supergirl in his dorm, and he asked if he could hold my hand. I allowed it. And my stomach did a complete flip. Even that night, in the middle of the movie he just turned to look at me and said "You know, hanging out with you is the best part of my week." I didn't really know what to say, but I've been thinking about that night a lot.

Then, Milo, when I went to hang out with him later that same week, showed up with this massive, ridiculously thoughtful goodey basket: a book I had mentioned wanting to read, a fake bouquet of flowers, a candle that smells amazing, and a pair of socks. When I asked him why he went to all that trouble, he just smiled and said it was to "brighten up my day." I didn't care if most of the stuff was obviously from the Dollar Store, we're all broke college kids, and I respect and admire the gesture nonetheless.

This is genuinely my first time ever experiencing anything like this. I’ve never had two guys pulling at my attention in opposite directions, and I feel so out of my depth. I’m a psych major; I'm supposed to understand human behavior, but right now I have zero clue what my own heart is doing, let alone theirs.

I don't know what to do. Should I say something to either of them? Should I say nothing and wait? What do I even say?!

Thank you to anyone who actually read this whole ramble. It genuinely feels a little lighter just typing it out. Advice, harsh truths, or just a virtual hug are all very welcome.

Thank you,

A very stressed college student

Why is he acting like this? Am I crazy

• Upvotes

Both in our 20s, uni students. Guy friend and I had a good friendship for more than 8 months now, and he’s the closest friend I got. We got very close and we spent time together almost everyday. He would take me to his home as friends, ask to go to the movies, and hang out. Things suddenly shifted after he found out that I was having dinner with a guy (platonically), could be a coincidence but he was wondering the gender of who I was having dinner with, then completely started to act different when I said it was a guy. He did not initiate hang outs for more than 4 months after that and would be hot and cold. I eventually asked him if he likes me and he denied, and that he was just curious who I’d have dinner with. I don’t know if he’s lying or I’m the one going crazy. So I shrugged it off, he knew I was into him at the time. Our friendship recently got better, but I started talking to a guy. My guy friend is even more hot and cold towards me without telling me exactly why he’s upset, although he said he’s happy for me. I asked if he wants to hang out more than once and he would ignore me, and say we need to focus on school. The next day we would call for hours as if we’re good friends, then the next day he ignores me. What’s the deal? I finally texted him saying that I’ll give him space from now on because it’s been affecting my mental health. I feel like he doesn’t care about me because he rarely spends time with me anymore. He hasn’t replied. I’m planning on leaving this friendship even though I care deeply. A part of me does not want to let go because I know he also deals with depression.

How to get over the best sex of my life with ex?

• Upvotes

I, 32M, still haven't gotten over my ex- of almost 3 years. I'm in a relationship right now but for whatever reason any attempt that I had of sexual encounters before my current gf and even now were... placid. The sex isn't bad but it's not wonderful either. My ex had everything. She was hot, feisty, a great body and any woman I've met since then has just... not lived up to any of that. She was perfect.

My current girlfriend is currently losing weight to make herself more appealing, although she was recommended to do so for health related purposes. Now, before anyone calls me a shallow asshole, let me tell you that I love my girlfriend and she's a great companion, it's just.. I'm not that into her sexually and part of that is because I'm subconsciously comparing what I have with her with what I've had with my ex and I'm fully aware that comparison is the thief of joy instead of living every moment. Another part has to do more with the fact that she's slightly overweight. She's been gradually losing weight and I'm very fit myself ( 10-15% BF), the fact that we go to the gym together has a massive benefit. Before I shift my attention to this, truth be told, I'm rather distressed about the fact that even if she does lose weight, I don't know if I'm still gonna be attracted to her more or just lose even what I have.

I mean, tough luck but I want to experience the same level of sexual attraction and chemistry that I had with my ex, even if it's with another woman at least once. First of all, I'm not even sure if I want to break up. She's a wonderful companion and girlfriend. And I fully believe sex is something we can both work out, I'm just frustrated not getting the same satisfaction that I had with my former relationship ( yup, she was hotter, not gonna deny that). Any suggestions ( beyond calling me superficial slurs at least)?

Got a couple first dates coming up, how to avoid the “there’s no spark” text?

• Upvotes

I’ve got some first dates in the near future and Basically most of the time after a first date and I initiate a potential 2nd date I get the “I didn’t feel a spark but you’d make a great friend though!” Text… it’s brutal. My biggest issue is that I’m not a very physical touch type of person, at least when meeting people early on (once I get to know them I am though) I just feel uncomfortable about it. I just don’t know how to break that line between friend and relationship potential with someone and it’s tough… usually on first dates it’s a low pressure coffee/ice cream and a walk through a park while we chat kind of vibe, I ask lots of questions, there’s decent banter, and im good with joking around and making them laugh… the dates usually end well too but then as I mentioned the friendship text. I’d love any advice. I’m also not very attractive conventionally, I dress well, groom myself well too etc but I am a larger guy which doesn’t help though I’m working on that. How do I create a spark on the first date?

I guess he knows how i feel.

Background - Met this guy on a casual dating app. We vibed , met , became FWBs. I 32F, he 29M.

Every time we met i acted pretty nonchalant. I guess i was convincing myself that this is strictly casual nd not to catch any feelings.
Couple months after he said he is leaving the city.

And suddenly there was a pit in my stomach but i controlled. We met last time in late august nd he said that was our last. I agreed..

I told him i ll miss him. To which he replied sweetly. Nothing that points to him having feelings.

2 days ago he texted me, talked about his recent trip nd showed me pics. Then he mentioned he was in the city. I asked him to come he agreed. Then he left late night.

I guess by now he knows i have a soft spot for him . He keeps asking me whats happening in my dating life but i just dont reply to it.
All those feelings i was trying to bury .. just all came back. Now i am sitting with this fact that i cant have him.. except for these short moments…

Damn i miss him .. i want him around me. Not like in a “ i cant live without him “ way, but in a way that he isnt far, he acknowledges my feelings or may be reflects too. I guess this is a dream now.

Help me get over this. Is there anythng else at all that i can do ?

I discovered concerning criminal records while dating someone new, and his reaction to our breakup left me shaken

• Upvotes

I hesitated to post this because I don't want to trigger anyone who has been through similar experiences. My heart genuinely goes out to those of you who have experienced abuse.

I 29F been dating 30M for a short time who initially seemed very genuine and kind. However, there were a couple of occasions when he made disrespectful comments toward me. He also seemed to downplay his criminal history which made me uncomfortable enough to trust my gut and do a background check. What I discovered was deeply concerning. I found multiple criminal records involving assault, including a charge for assault and battery against a family or household member. He hadn't disclosed everything I found and I was left wondering what else I didn't know. I understand that an arrest or charge doesn't automatically mean someone is guilty and I did find a case that was dismissed. Still, the overall picture raised serious concerns for me. When I confronted him about things, we ended up arguing. After I ended things, he called me a demon and said I deserved to burn in hell. He sent text after text insulting me and telling me how much he hated me. I also discovered that he had taken his personal drama to public social media.

Needless to say, I decided to walk away and he is now blocked. I understand that people can change but I also believe that I'm allowed to protect my peace and take concerning behavior seriously. I know he is on probation for three years in my state which makes me hope that he respects my decision and stays away. Part of why I'm posting is that I've been in a relationship with a narcissistic person in the past. One of my biggest weaknesses is seeing the best in people, giving them the benefit of the doubt, and sometimes giving far too many chances when I should walk away. I think I know deep down that ending this was the right decision, but I could really use some reassurance from people who understand these situations.

How do you learn to trust your gut without second-guessing yourself or feeling guilty for walking away?

need advice if i should continue talking to this girl

• Upvotes

i need advice

so i (M 25) matched with this girl F (24) on tinder in february of this year. we immediately hit it off, convo was smooth, funny we had similar humor and she was very flirty just like me. it didn’t take energy to talk to her which i love the most with people cause a lot of times talking to people is draining

well she was only in the states for that night before she went home and we added each other on snap. we were basically talking to each other damn near everyday for 7 months, long ass ft for 8hrs talking about anything and everything, it was coo, no strings attached but we were both attracted to each other.

i finally meet her cause she moved to my state with her family n shit. we meet, get the lil awkwardness out and we’ve been vibing ever since. going on road trips, hikes, i met her older siblings she’s with, she matched my freak somewhat lol.

i kinda put myself in a position where idk if i wanna make her my girlfriend or not, i should mention im military and moving states in like 6 months lol. she’s great when im with her we laugh all the time but something is making me hesitant on if i want to be with her for the rest of my life.

some red flags for me are like she has heart problems where her bpm gets mad high and doing some activities henders her from doing them(i’m a very active person) but she still does them. uh she’s in debt, just like me lol, she works serving jobs, coffee shops, she just got a job at a dermatologist place. she wants to be a stay at home mom which is coo but i don’t wanna be the only one working if it’s not enough to bring home for the fam ya know. she’s attractive but ive been with really attractive women and idk if i would think otherwise in the future about her idk im all over the place.

she has great qualities too like she cooks, she’s clean, she’s not lazy, goes to the gym, family values, goals for the future and a lot of other green flags. i kinda feel like if we got married maybe i would be settling instead of trying to pursue someone im more not so nervous about getting with i guess.

im sorry that was super duper long and most yall not gonna read it but just curious what yall think lol. she’s a great woman and would be great to her man i just don’t know if i want that maybe. idk im stuck 😭😭😭

Is it even possible to be someone's everything? How do you feel about a guy watching porn on his own before hitting you up for sex?

• Upvotes

I feel so sad, so very sad.I have E cup silicone boobs, a nice face and body, I dress up in lingerie every night and do my face up, and I feel inadequate now.

My 25 year marriage fell apart due to him over indulging himself in porn. I know I've got no right to tell anyone what they can and can't watch, I knew this coming into a relationship, but I hate it, god it hurts my feelings so much, I'll be anything, I'll do anything, please just keep your gaze for me. I even started watching porn and have joined hectic subreddits so I'm looking at stuff too, so I can't say jack about it, the idea was if I GOT IT maybe it wouldn't hurt as much. Well I watch great shit, daily, I get it but still today on discovering he has a hamster profile and has logged HOURS of viewing time im so heartbroken. I want to be everything in my bedroom. I don't want a hard dick that got that way from another chic FFS, it's not my dick then is it!?!

To the women that take initiative

• Upvotes

What makes you want to approach a guy?

I've never really been approached by a woman before, the most I get are looks from a distance that sometimes come with a smile and yet feel like they mean nothing at all.

A couple days ago, I talked to a girl that I had crossed looks with a couple times, afterwards I talked to a buddy and he told me he already knew her, I was surprised so I asked how and just kept inquiring. Turns out, she approached him, out of nowhere, for no apparent reason to just chat, and she even offered and ended up giving him a ride from work...

That just destroyed the thought of her being into me, completely, because in my mind, if she's the type of girl that takes initiative and approaches someone she's into (cause let's be honest, that seems to be the reason she approached my buddy) her never approaching me is enough of a sign that she's not into me, after all, I have been under the same circumstances as my buddy with her and the results were different.

It sent me down a spiral of thinking. Why not me? Why is it never me? Why don't I get approached? Am I unapproachable? Why has no one ever voiced interest in me? (With the exception of two gay men that I, a straight man could not reciprocate) Do I have no worth in the female gaze?

I'm asking about a situation where you don't really know the person, you just know what they look like and maybe the vibe they give off. In the case of my story, it happened at the workplace so if you could put yourselves in that scenario as well, thank you.

Idk what to do anymore.

Advice on situation

• Upvotes

I’m a college student talking to a girl for a couple of weeks. We have hung out and everything has been going well as far as us interacting. However, she’s never had a bf before or anything serious however she was engaged in a FWB situation where she had gone through 3 months hooking up with a guy. She claims that it was never emotional and they mutually ended things due to circumstances. That was also the guy she lost her virginity to.

I’m not sure what to think of this because like she was quick to lose her virginity to a guy she wasn’t even emotional invested in. That’s her only body though so would love some advice on how I should go about this.

When we hangout, everything goes well but this is just in my mind in the background and I’m not sure what I do going forward because she wants something long term now. Please share advice as this could basically be my future.

In my feelings

• Upvotes

I am feeling a little lost. I like that I, 30f, have different hobbies from my partner, 30m, but i do not know if I feel like a priority.

Been at this for nearly 3 months. We talk and communicate about whats going on and it just feels like most of the time, he is able to plan out events for his friends than me and him together.

I did ask for dates at least once a week, and this doesnt mean like going out to a restaurant or activity. This can be just spending an evening together at home. I want to stay the night with him or have something like that, but now I feel like a logistics burden. I want to feel wanted and with time carved out without feeling guilty about it.

Tired of this woman’s confusion.. Ghosted her, bettered myself, and she is coming back now?

• Upvotes

Wasn’t planning on typing all this, but already did hahah so if you read all of it, you a real one!

I need advice here everyone.. I’m so confused and need help to know if I should give her a chance or avoid her as much as I can?

I been talking to this woman for a bit over two years now. Very long story short, we went on multiple dates over these years, we met the first time on a friend group hangout, and on about the 4th or 5th time I saw her, we were talking isolated from everyone 1 on 1 and I asked her out on a date and she said yes.

The first date was amazing, at least to me, we went for drinks and dinner after, I pulled all my powers to make the move that day after drinks, I got her a very sentimental gift which was a car model of her dream car as a sign of support to her dreams and I kissed her after surprising her, but it was like 5 seconds long and she pulled away, she cut it short and laughed a bit after the kiss. Loll..

Everything was normal and we talked everyday, and while on a call she tells me how stressed she is that she is not making money or have a job or anything. So I suggested her a business, as a business owner myself, I thought this was the best thing for her, she could make money from home and not have to be under a dumbass boss. So I asked her out to go for coffee and yes it was kind of a date but I focused on explaining the business to her as she wanted to know more and boom everything changed. When I was dropping her off, we were talking in the car and the security came and asked me to leave/move, I told him I’m just dropping her off and I’ll be leaving in a bit but he was a dick so it turned to an argument and she quietly left the car and I haven’t noticed until I looked to my right way later realizing I’m arguing with this security to stay longer with the person that isn’t even in the car anymore, I apologized and left.

After that night she texted me this paragraph. How she’s not emotionally available right now and need to focus on hustling and making money, that I’m a sweet guy and she doesn’t want to break my heart and all that, that she doesn’t want to kiss me just to kiss me, that she wants to be present and emotionally there. I respected it and told her I understand I don’t want to rush it either, and I’m working on my business too. Then it went awkward for some time but then we started hanging out again like normal. Then one day while hanging out on what anyone would call a “date”, I had flowers, we were in s romantic 1 on 1 outing and she wore a dress, I misread it thinking maybe she changed her mind and finally emotionally available, tried to make a move but was rejected brutally after diving for a kiss like an idiot, I dived so fast lmaooo, and she told me how “I told you this before” that she’s not emotionally available, and her hustle, blah blah.

Anyways this happened a third time again where I misread but I didn’t make a move, in fact it was just a mature convo after I learned my lesson that second time and I was rejected a third time.

then I got sick of it, all this mixed signals, all the random flirting that pops up sometimes, all the eye contact, all the care she gives me, I always thought maybe she’s just nice but I also thought what if she’s not and she’s actually interested, so the only way to find out was through making a move or having a conversation. The big things is, throughout all this time, I have been helping her with her business, teaches her how to do it, she did a lot of her own research as well, but I helped her when any issues came up, sometimes she would wake me up at 5am for questions on an emergency with her business and I would kindly help her. so I got sick of it all and met her one last time, I love you slipped from me, I told her I can’t keep this going, I have feelings for you and I won’t be able to just keep acting like I’m not. Mind you she is very attached and it definitely felt like a breakup to her, she was very shocked and upset. Anyways I go ghost for months, almost 6 months..

Recently we reconnected again, and it’s weird. She is the one that has been asking me so many times to hang out while I was out of town for work. Once I came back, which was two weeks ago, we went for wine at a really quiet classy place that we went to before and had nostalgia, the night went great and we had a lot of fun, for the first time it feels like she broke the touch barrier and she is casually touching me, like tapping my shoulders while talking, arm hooking me while going up the stairs, it was definitely a fun, relaxed, and intimate night. We stayed up till 2am together as the spot was far. I didn’t kiss her that night but I felt like there was a lot of tension and definitely she has been acting different. Giving me way more attention lol but like helping me with business, suggesting helpful shit, remembering details, sent me a photo when she visited a place we both went to together before, talks were getting more personal not just business talks anymore, said she’s down to travel with me and do so much intimate activities together. But I really don’t know if this time is different or is it just like all the rest?

What do you guys think? I do unfortunately have feelings for her, I am not sure if she has the same, lately she’s been different but I don’t want to get hurt for the dizillion time and get rejected. She got me confused asf and I don’t know if i should give it a chance this time or keep in my lane and let this go?

The girl i’m seeing is sending me mixed signals, help!

I 20F am seeing this girl 20F who for privacy reasons I’ll name Velma. We’ve been going out for about 5 months getting no know each other and it’s been a confusing experience. I am madly in love with her but duo to past experiences i’ve been holding back from giving her all the love that’s inside of me. Not only that, she just doesn’t respond to texts. And it isn’t personal, in resent events, Velma’s mentioned that she doesn’t have a natural desire to text people and that it’s been a past conflict with her last situationships. She straight up told me not to settle if it was a big deal and that I deserved someone who fulfilled my expectations. But I responded that those were some hurtful words and that each couple needs to meet halfway since everyone’s needs are different. And she agreed and we had a lovely rest of the evening.

But a few days have passed from that conversation and now she’s straight ignoring meee. At the beginning she’d flirt with me via text calling me nicknames and now she will respond with yes and no answers and i don’t know what to dooooo.
I suspect that she’s on the spectrum and that changes on her daily life can be hard but I wish to give her a fulfillment love but idk how if she won’t respond texts! I’ll send her playlist, and poems I made for her and still I don’t think i’m getting through her as I wanted to.
Does anyone have advice on how to make people that aren’t in to talking feel loved? I wished for us to work out in the long run and would like some advice.
Reddit community, what should I do??

Why I attract only 10+ younger or older women?

Another problem I noticed is that women of my age don’t look interested in me.
I got interest from girls under 20 (including weird ages like 12 or something) or above 35.
With those of 18-19 I feel there’s still too mutch age gap, even in my religious community no one get married before 21-22.

I had a great date, it made me realise I don't actually want to date anyone, I don't know how to tell him.

I F(22) went on a date yesterday with this guy. He was really great, we had a lot of fun, he was easy to talk to, respectful, just a great person. But as the date kept going and as soon as I got home from it I realised I really don't want to date someone and don't want to committ. I'd rather focus on my studies and work, especially because I'm not willing to spend my time with someone else right now and that's not fair on anyone. I don't want to be with someone and maybe I never will.

I don't want to lead him on so I'd rather tell him the truth but I don't know how to. Any tips on what I could say?

When do you think it becomes wrong to date more than one person at a time?

I (21F) recently started online dating and have downloaded a few different dating apps. I’ve been talking to and going on dates with different men, and I’m curious about where people draw the line when it comes to dating multiple people at once.

At what point do you think you should stop seeing other people and focus on one person? Is going on two dates with someone a sign that you should start focusing exclusively on them? Is it when you have the conversation about being exclusive, when you become boyfriend and girlfriend, or when things get physical?

I want to be fair to both myself and the men I’m seeing. I don’t want to limit my options too early and miss out on getting to know someone who could be a good match for me, but I also don’t want to lead anyone on or make someone feel like they’re being treated as just another option.

I’m also a pretty sentimental person when it comes to dating, and I tend to get attached to the idea of someone pretty quickly. I can start imagining what things might turn into before I really know the person, and I’m trying to avoid getting emotionally invested in one person too early, especially when we’re still in the early stages of dating.
Because of that, I’m struggling to figure out what a fair and healthy approach looks like. I want to give myself the opportunity to explore my options while also being considerate of other people’s feelings.

So, where do you personally draw the line? When do you think dating multiple people stops being fair, and do you think there’s an unspoken point when you should naturally start focusing on one person, even if you haven’t had an exclusivity conversation yet?

Women of Reddit, what's the best way to start a conversation with you?

I (32m) been in long relationships most of my life and my last 13 years were spent with someone I met online so I have literally no idea what to say to people I meet in person anymore and online isn't working out.

What is a good way to approach someone in a relaxed setting (I.e. a bar) and start a conversation? I feel awkward approaching people and I don't want to embarrass myself preferably.
