Cuando juego (ya sea valorant, roblox forza horizon, fifa, lo que sea) aproximadamente cada 20 o 30 minutos se me congela completamente el computador, no se mueve el raton y la unica forma de apagarlo es forzosamente por el boton de la laptop

Ya he descartado cosas como ponerle pasta termica nueva, hacerle limpieza, temperaturas, e incluso compre un cargador de 230w original pensando que era un problema de energia

Porfavor necesito que alguien me ayude urgentemente ya que no quiero que mi pc tenga un problema peor, Muchas gracias.

I’ve had this Lenovo IdeaPad with Windows 10 since 2018, and it just refuses to die. The screen has been damaged twice, and the battery only lasts an hour. I’ve kept it around mainly because of 2 memories and the CD drive. If anyone else has one, could you tell me the pros and cons of fixing it up again and what its successor model is?

Would the successor last just as long? Saving up for a PC gamer is impossible right now.

I have a work laptop that is connected to two monitors. The work laptop is connected to a docking station via a dual end C-type cable, and there are display port cables attached from docking station to the monitors.

I want to be able to connect my personal PC (a proper gaming desktop, 10+ years old but not exactly "outdated"), to the same monitors.

However, I do not want to use the same cables already in use by the work computer, unless there is a way to do so without having to unplug and replug things on every switch. I also can't have any crossover as far as the two machines "seeing" each other, if that makes sense, as one is for work.

I am not computer illiterate, but this is where things get complicated enough that I go kind of cross eyed trying to get it right.

Can someone tell me what cables I need or what changes I need to make in order to achieve what I am describing?

Just wondering considering I have a fair amount and am surprised that so much is being used for so little processing but idrk...

It is just an office laptop (igpu and i5 cpu) and it came with 8gb but I added another 8gb stick so that could be causing issues.

Hello, i have recently been having an issue with adjusting sound on my windows 11.

The issue is that when trying to adjust volume using either my headset or the volume mixer the dial just stutters and either doesnt change or jumps to a random number, does anyone know how to fix this and/or what is causing this?

I downloaded Nvidia App to update drivers. Didn’t update anything yet but my laptop is getting random shutdowns while playing videogames.
Happened when I bought the laptop some months ago but fixed it with a factory reset.

Did a factory reset this time but shutdowns again. I feel a bit pissed off right now so here I am asking for help.

Hello folks, I'm new here and generally don't like posting stuff. However I'm beyond desperate and honestly almost close to tears.

Quick notice:
English is not my native language so expect some errors.

Story:
I'm a normal data hoarder and one of my drives made a very concerning sound.
Checked the SMART Data, some logs on eventvwr and indeed something went wrong with the drive on the day the sound started.
Today I got the not-so-cheap replacement drive and by everything that is holy she sounds way worse because the other one had at least some quiet moments.
The video is the sound the new one makes and I'm almost tempted to put the "bad" one back inside.

* No, it can't be another drive.
Left the others running without her. They sound smooth, quiet and as natural as a drive should sound.
* No, changing the cables doesn't work.
Already tried that.
* SMART data (from CrystalDiskInfo) says the drives "Good" but every value except Ultra DMA CRC Error Count (Current: 200 / Worst: 253) is set to 100/100.

As an additional information:
* The drive got delivered in a Standard Amazon-Style book delivery package with just the drive inside in a thin plastic protection (no cushion, no pads, no nothing).
* She is currently still not formatted. And even though there is no data she sounds like she is hard at work.

- There was a post 10 months ago with practically the same drive, however the sound is totally different. He had a almost quiet clicking sound.

I recently saw an EBay post for four, 2 TB (8TB total) hard drives, and jumped on the bid. Well I won for 106 bucks. A little background about myself. I’m a hobbyist who has a small server. I’m currently going through nurse practitioner school and just don’t have the funds for expansion, especially in this market.

I'm trying to unzip my google takeout files so i can upload them to proton drive,

however i think the reason hundreds of files aren't able to be extracted is because those specific files are snapchat files (because ive done google takeout uploads to proton drive before, the only difference this time is that there are snapchat files that i uploaded to google using ExportSnaps in amongst them)

I bought my computer off of a friend of mine who I've lost contact with a couple years ago now. One of the first things I did was recreate the build on pcpartpicker. I've had all the parts down, except for the case. I haven't been able to find my case anywhere I've looked. It's a Cyberpower C Series but looking that up yields nothing similar. I believe this was a pre-built that my friend upgraded. That's all I know.

ASUS TUF Gaming A15 (Ryzen 7 7735HS) Crashing When Unplugged or Restarting – CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT / DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

I have an ASUS TUF Gaming A15 laptop with an AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS processor, and I've been experiencing this issue for over a month now.

Whenever I restart my laptop or unplug the charger, it crashes within a few seconds. Most of the time, I get a CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT blue screen, but occasionally it crashes with a DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION error instead.

This has become a serious problem because I can't unplug my laptop at university to show my work to my professors, and I can't reliably restart my laptop to install Windows updates.

If anyone knows how to fix this, I would really appreciate your help!

During the summer, I did a lot of rendering in 3ds Max, often in hot weather. Could the heat have damaged my CPU? I had the thermal paste replaced and the laptop serviced about three months ago, though.

Additional information: Before these crashes started happening, my laptop would occasionally fail to wake up properly after being in sleep mode for an extended period. I had to force a restart manually to get it working again. I had mostly ignored this, assuming it might be a common ASUS issue, but now I'm wondering whether the two problems could be related.

Has anyone experienced something similar or found a solution? Could this be a hardware issue, a power management problem, or something related to the CPU?

I got a new monitor 3 days ago, came home and noticed these little dark spots on my monitor that seem like they are dead but they don't appear to be fully black do I wait to see if they disappear? Use the warranty? Or just try fix it myself? The monitor I bought is a AOC 24G50Z 24" FHD 240Hz btw.

hello! i am pretty much computer illiterate so please help give me suggestions for a desktop! my hp all in one from 2019 finally gave up on me. i am very against another all in one because that one was awful :)
i need to be able to use the computer for work and web browsing but that’s pretty much it. as long as it comes with windows 11 and can handle running word, teams, and a few web pages at the same time without being super slow, that’s enough for me. budget is about $600, not including monitors or anything else. i know this is limiting but i have to stay in my budget. so far i’ve looked into a Lenovo mini or an Acer Aspire, both with 16GB RAM & 512 GB SSD. thank you for reading & please help me ;-;
