If you haven't heard yet, Elon has cut off Starlink to Ukraine. It's critical to nearly every facet of their lives- from civilians to to the battlefield. That Trump and Elon would do this to a desperate European democracy is abhorrent. I don't know what we can do besides gather, march, and demand, but something MUST be done. Internet service has to be restored to these poor people IMMEDIATELY.

Does anyone know of planned demonstrations scheduled in Chittenden county? Is there a group I can contact? I have never been this ashamed and angry, and with the idiot man-child at the helm, there has been plenty to be ashamed of and mad about. I feel so goddamned helpless. I can't even imagine how Ukrainians must feel. This is pure evil.

never paid for water before so i’m wondering what people are paying on average for water per month. live in a 3 bed and it’s been approx 125 / month. is that standard?

in our most recent bill, we used 800 units = $46 for water usage, then sewer treatment was $80

we have a dishwasher which we run ~2 per week and don’t do a ton of handwashing. subjectively, i think we do an average amount of laundry and none of us take long showers. not sure about the toilet situation / age of appliances

Local musician/artist here! I have been trying to get in touch with someone at Monkey House for about a year now and haven't heard back. I have a few other friends who say they've emailed and can't get a reply either. Are they no longer booking locals or are they just really bad at communicating? I get if we're not the sound they're looking for but it would be nice to at least get a reply! Has anyone had any luck? Are their any other venues in Winooski area that book and pay local music?

Sometimes I tune into 95.5 to take a break from my music app and they recently announced James charles is guess DJ tomorrow. I think its wild they would play his music and have him guess DJ considering he was really creepy with younger boys. 🤷‍♀️

A charity has been dropping off food for someone in my neighborhood, but can't seem to find them. Two weeks in a row, someone knocked on a few doors looking for the person. We told them that we didn't know who they were looking for. They have started just leaving the food on the ground including an unrefrigerated carton of milk and what looks like a steamed entree. It sits there for days until one of my neighbors or I dispose of it. I would like to connect with the charity to help find the correct address or stop service.

Does anyone recognize this meal kit? Do you know what organization is having them delivered?

If there are any science fiction fans out there: I’ll be interviewing Annalee Newitz about their books at Phoenix Books at 7:00PM.

Annalee founded the website io9 and has written some of the best science fiction novels in recent years: Autonomous, The Terraformers, and Automatic Noodle, as well as a bunch of nonfiction books (Scatter, Adapt, Remember, Four Lost Cities, and Stories Are Weapons). They just had a new one come out called A Wall Is Also A Road, which is fantastic.

I saw that Burlington is starting an ABA basketball team. Is anyone familiar with this league? I only saw season pass tickets available, I'm curious if individual game tickets will be available at any point? Looking to gauge if folks are interested in supporting this.
