Springfield, Vermont Missing (29M) Brad Spurr
facebook.comHis name is Bradley Spurr. He went missing from Springfield Hospital, in Springfield Vermont on 3/12/23.He was brought there by ambulance after suffering medical complications (hes was in active addiction at the time he disappeared). He left the hospital on his own accord, on foot, without being seen by any medical staff. He did not have his phone or any personal belongings, has not been active on his social media, and has not been in contact with ANYONE since he left the hospital. Several searches of the surrounding area of the hospital have been done, and we have found nothing. Local and state police have been of very little help, as Bradley has an active arrest warrant for the state of Vermont.
Bradley Spurr is 6'1"
DOB: 10/22/96
DATE MISSING: 3/12/23
Bradley was 26 years old at the time of his disappearance
Hazel/green eyes
Thick, dark brown curly hair, (was cut short at the time he was last seen)
Tall, slender build
Last seen wearing red Adidas sweat pants with white stripes down the legs of the pants, white t-shirt, Grey slippers and a faded grey NIRVANA hoodie.
Bradley has his left arm mostly tattooed, with a unique tribal design.
We are hoping Bradley is alive and well. If anyone has seen, or heard from Bradley, or knows where he is... He is loved and DEEPLY missed. Especially by his two small children and countless friends and family!
Posted will be pictures of Bradley in active addiction, pictures of him sober, his tattoos and the clothes he was wearing when he went missing.
THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart đ for taking the time to read this đ

Groennfel/Havoc Mead
Hi there! I recently (9/25 - 10/1) visited your fine state to enjoy the foliage and had just the absolute best time and cannot wait to come back.
I work at a meadery down in NC and so whenever I travel I am on the lookout for local mead, and was especially hoping to find Groennfel. I've never had it but saw on their website that they have made a bunch of changes in the past few years including eliminating their online stores, but I tried to find them in retail locations that carry them according to their website (we stayed in Montpelier so I tried Fox Market, Hunger Co-Op, and Plainfield Hardware and the 802 in Montpelier but struck out).
I see no social media updates since April 2024.
Does this brand still exist? Are you actually able to find them locally? If so, I guess I'll be back to ask for tips before my next visit :)
I did manage to take home a Cyser from Montpelier Vineyards (very good!), Stowe Cider (I LOVED), and Twig by Golden Rule (unfortunately not my preferred flavor profile, but I'd love to try more anyway). I saw Old Merle's at Plainfield Hardware but was running out of room in my luggage by that point and skipped it. If you have any other mead recommendations, I'd love to hear them.

Landlord Threatened Rent Increase
Hello, recently, I reached out to my landlord about pest in my walls, and I told him that they have been keeping me up at night, which leads me to believe they are larger than just mice (I sleep with a noise machine at full volume and keep getting woken up at night). Last season we had this issue where I had a full-blown infestation where mice were inside of the Home, but they are not inside of the home yet.
I asked him to contact pest control and have somebody who is able to get inside of the walls.
He is then threatened me and said that he would have to raise the rent by a lot if I need him to get pest control involved.
My ceiling is also leaking and he is not being proactive about getting it fixed.
I donât know what to do legally about my landlord threatening a rent increase due to me inquiring about him fixing the property.
Orkin came out last season and said there is significant damage to the foundation of the home and that itâs only going to get worse if he doesnât take proactive steps to repair the foundation. Which he wonât :/

What are those hawks near Lake Champlain?
In the morning I see a large group of birds that look like hawks all coming together from one direction, roughly northwest direction. In the evening if I happen to be in the same area I see them all head back where they came from.
They look mostly all black and are much larger than crows. They have huge wings and do a lot of hovering and circling as they make their way. What are they?

How to address the constant accidents on I-89(S) by exit 15 onramp
Hey VT reddit. Accidents on I-89 southbound by Exit 15 have become a shockingly frequent experience.Â
I want to start a thread that is focused on solutions. To cover both advocacy (who and how can citizen petition and advocate for improvements) as well as what potential practical solutions could be implemented to make this part of 89 safer. Please refrain from venting angry responses about bad drivers or blaming old and/or young people (I get it, I am super angry too when accidents make everyone late for everything they have to do. But there are plenty of other threads to vent on). Call me a naive moron but I still think that Reddit can be a collaborative and helpful place.Â
So yea, first off - who can citizens contact and petition to emphasize that this is a major issue. One that needs greater government attention. Is it VTrans? Since interstates are federal projects how does that impact things?
Second, what are reasonable, actionable steps that could be taken to make this stretch of the highway more secure? I am not the most experienced redditor, but thought to structure ideas as individual replies to this post, that way there can be more targeted discussion of each. I know many would point to greater support of public transit. I know. I agree. But that is a long term solution. There must be some shorter & medium term ways to make this part of 89 safer and less accident prone. See the initial replies below for some ideas that originally bubbled up from a thread on the r/Burlington today.Â
SOMETHING needs to be done here before the old Winooski bridge replacement project begins. That will route a ton more traffic through Exit 15 southbound. And in the current status quo, that seems a recipe for disaster(s).

Was camping green mountain national forest, castle Brooke trail, last weekend and I believe I left a pair of sentimental shoes at my site.
Shot in the dark but was wondering if anyone saw a pair of boots at a site. Would pay for them to be shipped back
42.97018, -73.00626 this is the exact pin.
Iâm back home on Long Island now so this is my only shot.
Car Inspections vicinity of Moretown
Looking for some place within 20 miles or so that will not scam me on inspecting my truck - which got new coated rotors last fall. [they were replaced unnecessarily last year as a result of a fail that was BS].
Lived in NY for many years and it was a simple and uncomplicated thing - plug into the computer for emissions, guy makes sure the lights work, have a nice day. VT is evil, seemingly on purpose.

Visiting Vermont Worst time to visit?
I've loved Vermont every time I've come, and would like to move there. However, I would prefer to have a visit at the least popular time before deciding to take the plunge. What is the most unpleasant time to visit? (for context, I'm in Colorado so I'm no stranger to heat or snow).
Edited to add: Wow thank you so much everyone! There are too many replies for me to respond to every one, but I've read them and I've heard so much from everyone :)

South Burlingtonâs OnLogic to Be Acquired for $675 Million by OMRON, a Japanese Firm. (Employees getting bonuses of $1,500 for each month of employment.)
From story:
The South Burlington-based computer hardware manufacturer OnLogic will be purchased by Japanese technology company OMRON for $675 million, the companies announced on Tuesday.Â
OMRON, which specializes in automation, is acquiring OnLogic as a way to further boost its industrial technology capabilities, according to a joint press release. The deal is expected to close in January.
âOnLogic will continue operating as an independent business, maintaining our executive leadership team, brand, culture, and direct sales model,â spokesperson Darek Fanton said in an email. âCrucially for our local community, our global headquarters, with all business functions including manufacturing and engineering operations, will remain right here in South Burlington.â
OnLogic has 300 employees worldwide, including 160 in Vermont. The companyâs headquarters is in a highly visible building off Interstate 89. It will maintain its local workforce, which includes manufacturing and research and development.
Those employees are in for a âthank youâ bonus of $1,500 for each month theyâve been employed by OnLogic. A five-year employee would get $90,000; a 10-year employee, $180,000. And shareholding employees will get an equity payout.
OMRON has 26,000 employees worldwide. Its headquarters are in Kyoto.
Story continues in link.
