Battle Who would actually win in a fight between Batman and Spider-Man if neither knew anything about the other?

Batman and Spider-Man encounter each other for the first time. Neither has prior knowledge of the other's abilities, weaknesses, or fighting style.

Batman has his standard equipment, Spider-Man has his web-shooters, and neither gets outside assistance or preparation time.

Both are fighting seriously, but neither is trying to kill.

Who wins, and more importantly, how?

Challenge The Magnus Carlsen but with some caveats

For anyone unaware the Magnus Carlsen whowouldwin scenario is you trapped with Magnus Carlsen in a room until you win at game of chess, everyone agrees it is basically impossible unless he gets a heart atack in the middle of a game.

However this time the guy trapped in a room is not a novice but a 1600 FIDE (1800-2100 chess.com).Also Magnus Carlsen only gets 3 minutes on the clock while our protagonist has unlimited time per move.

The guy has 1 month of prep time and during that time he is coached by Hikaru and has unlimited resources to learn/buy anything chess related.

Moreover once per game he can have stockfish tell him the best move, HOWEVER he will have no recollection of the best move stockfish told him last game, nor when it was played, he forgets all about stockfish help and "learns" about it at the start of each game as not to just make this him asking stockfish every move until eventually after 40-80 tries stockfish beats Magnus

Once per game he can have a 3 minute talk with Gothamchess where Gothamchess is fully aware of the current board state

Does the guy have any shot at eventually beating Magnus?

After each game he gets an analysis from Hikaru and Gothamchess

Challenge The Imperium of Man gets one of every Warframe. Can they save the galaxy?

Been playing a lot of Warframe lately and came up with this idea. What if the Imperium in Warhammer 40K had warframes? A single frame would be an incredibly powerful combatant in the 40K verse, comfortably outstripping any basic unnamed unit from any faction, some of them sitting just below the heaviest hitters in the verse.

So let's say that the Imperium gets some warframes; to be precise, they get one of each unique base frame currently available in-game. That's 66 frames in total, starting with Excalibur and ending with Narin (no Primes).

Here are the rules:

- The Imperium's goal, as always, is to save the universe by purging all the filthy heretics and xenos from existence. This includes the Tyranid Swarm surrounding the galaxy.

- All 66 frames magically appear on Holy Terra with detailed instructions regarding their use and capabilities. The Emperor sends his Primarchs a psychic message saying that they can deploy the frames immediately.

- The Imperium does not get the Tenno themselves, only the frames; they will act and fight autonomously but always follow orders. No Transference, no Void powers, no time travel or Eternalism shenanigans.

- Since the frames do not have full consciousness, they will not be affected by Warp corruption. They can still be physically attacked by the forces of Chaos.

- Assume all 66 frames are fully modded for endgame content. They arrive armed with a full loadout with signature weapons for each frame (i.e. Narin will have her bow, pistols, and a melee weapon) but can also use any weapons available to them in the 40K verse.

- Each frame also comes with one Archwing, one K-Drive, and a Sentinel. These can only be used by the frames.

It's a well established fact in the 40K universe that humanity is, ultimately, doomed. But with every warframe, can the Imperium finally win? If they can, how long does it take?

Challenge What is the minimum number of realistic DEA faculty required to catch Walter white

Here are the rules

Hank is never put on the Heisenberg case instead, random people from the DEA from our universe are put in there.

Rules that benefit Walter: Agents will have no prior knowledge of the local Albuquerque area due to them being “from out of town”. Badger still gets arrested and Walter still meets saul (December 3rd-5th 2008). The realistic DEA will get involved roughly 1 week after the first 8 instances of crystal blue appear on the street, meaning they are incapable of pursuing the gas mask lead. Failure to catch Walter before Hank finds out (march of 2010) would mean

Rules against Walter: outside of arresting Badger, the DEA are free to investigate whatever they want in order to arrest Heisenberg . Characters will still mostly do what they did in the main series unless they are physically incapable of doing it (IE Walter isnt allowed to stop cooking because he’s afraid of the DEA, but hector would not show up to a meeting if the realistic DEA building kill him in a shoot out with Tuco). Characters will retain any emotional state they had in the show and will behave as close to their in show counter parts as humanly possible. Faculty will be single issue on the Heisenberg case when on the clock.

Commenters are free to delegate the faculty as they please

Let me know if I need to add any rules please

Challenge The Dinosaur Mothership + Everyone under the mental age of 13 + 3 Randomly Selected Percent of the World Population vs. The Rest of the World

Concept from this song: https://open.spotify.com/track/5IcUCggbkww7Ew7tbsPZvH?autoplay_ok=1

A colony of 50,000 intelligent dinosaurs, (20,000 in one mothership, 20,000 scattered across about a dozen other colony ships, and 10,000 in other assorted small ships, none of who's location is known) have arrived in the solar system. They are biologically similar to an assortment of different dinosaur species which are somehow biologically compatible. We're going to handwave away the problem of how this is even remotely with the single word "epigenetics." Anyway, they all have extremely high intelligence, with their average individual having the smarts of one of our top geniuses, like Einstein or Euler.

They consider humans "too dumb for slaves and too tough for hamburgers" and will, if left to their own devices, factory farm humans to turn them into chicken nugget like creations. They have advanced technology, but not drastically more advanced (cold fusion but no ftl or antimatter, cancer cures but not immortality). They are a species with very long lifespans but very low fertility. They have used their advanced technology to construct a cognitive influence device based around radio waves. It is only sufficient to work on people below the mental age of 13, but it will make them fanatically pro-dinosaur and willing to do anything at the slightest whim of a dinosaur, including killing themself or loved ones. Up to the mental age of 15 it will have some effect, but only that equivalent to talking to someone quite persuasive, more inclined to take pro-dinosaur stances in politics and such. (This is MENTAL age, not actual age, so an Ender Wiggin-esque figure would be not harmed, while, say Kayne West would be impacted) After the invasion was discovered, about 3 percent of the adult population converted to the Cult of the Dinosaur Mothership, a cult which worships the dinosaurs and will do anything it takes to see the succeed.

The reason the dinosaurs don't use RKVs or anything is that they want to farm the humans and need the earth to be habitable to colonize it and live there. Their home-world (well, their original homeworld was Earth but they were forced out of it, this is their main system) has been destroyed, they are the only members of their species remaining. One singular dinosaur, has defected and allied with the humans, giving them detailed knowledge of their plans, including the designs for factory farms. As such, every world leader, and the vast majority of the population is now completely radicalized against the dinosaurs, willing to do everything it takes to see them defeated (the plans for human factory farms also caused a massive outcry against animal factory farms, now illegal, and the considerable majority of the population is now vegan) including use of nuclear and other WMDs.

However, nothing supernatural has occurred to the human population, they are not "bloodlusted," but there's a massive degree of unity among the world population even greater than Britain or America in World War 2. Similarly, the Dinosaurs are not bloodlusted and can be persuaded, however this would be similar difficultly to convincing every human to become vegan (But hey as I said earlier that practically just happened so it's not impossible!), they are incredibly nationalistic and loyal to their species (That was why there was only one defector). Every ship and device of theirs has cloaking including near perfect thermal emission control and almost clear using advanced lenticular lens arrays. They can be detected but not easily or passively. For instance the Vera C. Rubin observatory would be able to see it in it's image but only with hours of data analysis. Once you know where they are, they're relatively easy to track though, assuming they don't go behind a moon or something (Basically this is to prevent "we just nuke them in the first 5 minutes no chance"). They start out about as far out as Uranus when first detected. They have decent but not perfect knowledge of humans and culture as around 5 advance scouts spent several decades surveying the planet in UFOs.

Feel free to ask any questions my worldbuilding probably has some holes but I did my best to make it airtight.

Battle Who wins in a REAL LIFE battle, Super Mario or Sonic the Hedgehog?

• Upvotes

Due to Mario not having a real life counterpart, i'll use a Lepidobatrachus laevis to represent him (a Budgett's Frog) to represent Mario's Frog Suit from Mario 3.

Meanwhile, Sonic will be a Erinaceus europaeus Hedgehog.

Who wins in a straight fight? Same height btw.

Battle Plankton has the Krabby Patty formula. Can he really run the Krusty Krab out of business?

I've often heard the argument that Plankton is such a terrible business owner that he wouldn't be able to beat the Krusty Krab even if he did somehow get the formula, and that the only reason he was successful selling Krabby Patties at the Chum Bucket is that Mr. Krabs was frozen at the time. But is this true? Would Plankton be able to take away Mr. Krabs' customers if he had the formula?

Challenge Viltrumite Xenomorph vs. Invincible Earth

• Upvotes

A Xenomorph facehugger impregnates a Viltrumite sleeper agent whilst hiding beneath Chicago. The resulting Drone inherits its host’s Viltrumite strength, speed, durability, and flight, alongside its natural Xenomorph abilities. It emerges undetected and begins hunting humans and superheroes with the goal of establishing a hive.

R1: Guardians of the Globe The GDA investigates disappearances around Chicago and dispatches the Guardians to eliminate the creature. Neither side has prior knowledge of the other.

R2 - Invincible: Mark Grayson encounters the Xenomorph alone beneath Chicago. Both are in-character, and Mark has no knowledge of its biology or abilities.

Round 3 Viltrumites**:** The Xenomorph encounters three adult Viltrumites, including Omni-Man, who recognize it as a potential threat. The Viltrumites understand its Xenomorph biology but not the full extent of its inherited abilities.

Win condition: Death or permanent incapacitation. All opponents fight with their established abilities.

Can a Xenomorph with Viltrumite physiology defeat Earth’s strongest defenders, or would its inherited abilities still leave it outmatched?

BONUS: the Viltrumorph is an intelligent queen and will do its best to silently establish a hive without alerting any human authorities. How far does it make it before being nuked from orbit?

Challenge Skar King (Monsterverse) vs. Showa Kaiju Gauntlet (Showa Era Godzilla)

If the Monsterverse's Skar King were to step up and challenge all of the Showa era kaiju on a one on one battle for dominance, how far does he get?

For this gauntlet, we're gonna say he's going to face the Showa versions of the following monsters in increasing power level (YMMV on the order from weakest to strongest):

  • Anguirus
  • Baragon
  • Ebira
  • Manda
  • Varan
  • Kumonga
  • Kamakuras
  • Gorosaurus
  • King Ceasar
  • Jet Jaguar
  • Rodan
  • Mothra
  • Hedorah
  • Gigan
  • Megalon
  • King Kong
  • King Ghidorah
  • Mechagodzilla
  • Godzilla

Who within that roster gets crushed, and who puts up more of a fight? Could the Skar King actually challenge Godzilla for the title of King of the Monsters, or is there a hard cap that stops his conquest cold? Are there any kaiju I missed that could put up an interesting fight?

Bonus: Skar King brings Shimo into battle to take over Monster Island by force. How far does he get?

Battle Spacecraft that maneuvers like an aircraft vs Spacecraft that maneuvers Newtonianly

By aircraft-like maneuvering I mean something like how starfighters from Star Wars move, by Newtonian I mean something like how ships from the Expanse or Star Furies from Babylon 5 move.

Both craft have the same weapons and same level of protection

Round 1: Starfighter (small, high acceleration, fixed weapons)

Round 2: Warships (Larger, lower acceleration, turreted weapons)

Battle takes place in empty space

Battle Alexander the great Macedonian army vs Harold Godwinsons shield wall

Scenario 1: Harold Godwinsons wins the battle of Stanford bridge and hastily marches South to meet William the conqueror at Hastings. Except instead of William, it's Alexander the great that lands in England with an army of 5000. For Alexander's army it is the same one that he used in crossing the Danube consisting of 3500 phalanx infantry and 1500 companion cavalry. Harold's army consists of the original timeline of 7000 infantry in a shield wall with 20% of the 7000 being elite housecarls. Who wins?

Scenario 2, the battle of Stamford bridge never happens and Harold is able to arrive at Hastings with a fresh army of 15000 infantry with the housecarls making up 20% of the army. Who wins?

Both sides have the technology and military tactics of their own time period.

In both scenarios Harold arrives at senlac Hill and establishes the shield wall waiting for Alexander's army to attack.

Battle Omega Leonidas (Bakugan video game) vs Kaos (Skylanders)

I was originally thinking "my favorite Pokémon vs my favorite Skylander" but then I remembered my favorite Skylanders are either crossover characters or Imaginators, and my favorite Pokémon is not that OP. then I saw a video power scaling Bakugan, and then I figured "my favorite Bakugan vs Kaos" and you can guess the rest.

anyway, rules:

this is an actual fight, not a Bakugan battle. last I checked, Bakugan has those.

the fight will take place in Skylands, let's just say Bakugan can access their full power in Skylands.

Kaos will be an amalgam of the games and Academy.

Kaos has access to all his powers and forms, but not tech.

Leonidas will be at his most powerful.

if it makes a difference, Leonidas will be Pyrus atribue.

fight is until either death or incapacitation of opponent.

Challenge Every bird on the planet vs human society.

Every bird on the planet gains human level intelligence and are all hive mind coordinated. They know they don't stand a chance against humanity's weapons and technology, so they utilize their new intelligence and coordination at psychologically breaking humanity by spreading out evenly across the planet and watching and staring at all the humans. How long can humanity handle this staring from the birds? Humanity wins by society not collapsing entirely, and the birds win if society collapses. If nukes are launched the birds win because they broke humanity to even consider nuking and destroying themselves just to stop being stared at.

Battle France vs UK in 2026

Rules for this scenario:

  1. No nukes
  2. No foreign interference (trade is okay, we're just going to assume every country has somehow taken a neutral stance on the war)
  3. They are both fighting seriously
  4. The goal is to get the other country to either fall or surrender

Which country would win in a war?
