On Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. Kyiv time (5 p.m. London, noon ET, 9 a.m. Portland, 1 a.m. Friday in Tokyo, 3 a.m. Friday in Sydney), Frontliner photojournalist Marharyta Fal will join r/Ukraine for an AMA. Post your questions here ahead of time or join us live.
“When I cover the war, I’m just trying to cope with reality and be useful. It’s my way of recording a shared experience -- for those who have already seen the wreckage of their own homes, and for those who still see the world only through a screen.”
Marharyta has reported on Russia’s blockade of occupied Oleshky and on aerial bomb attacks on Kramatorsk. She has also reported from Kostiantynivka, and walked into Druzhkivka and Dobropillia alongside Ukrainian troops.

I know this information has been posted but I want to encourage US citizens to contact their reps in Congress to pressure the admin/SPCX to restore Starlink.

Overnight, Russians killed three people in Kyiv. Another 22 were injured.
Energy facilities in Kyiv and the surrounding region were hit by a massive ballistic missile strike.
There are power outages in the capital.
At that time, SpaceX has implemented speed limits for Starlink terminals while in motion.
Currently, the restriction applies to the StarShield "military service package" and caps the speed at 100 miles per hour.
Defense forces received no warning about this restriction, and it has led to the disruption of several strike missions.
Update: Reports are coming in from the military that restrictions on the use of Starlink satellite terminals by our operators have just been tightened. The speed at which the connection begins to drop out is 60–70 km/h.
