Let me preface for any sub or dub diehards that this is not me attacking your preference, I’m just curious on if y’all agree or disagree.

With that being said, is it just me or is the dub for Part 7 better than the sub? Obviously there’s always the downside of stand localization, but to me the main cast sounds at worst equal to the sub, and at best better than the sub (Johnny, Diego, but especially both Gyro & Pocoloco).

Mind you, I’ve watched the previous 6 parts in both sub and dub, so I’m not heavily biased towards one or the other off the get-go. I’ve been watching the first few episodes in both sub and dub and I feel scenes such as Gyro and Johnny’s banter, or Diego calling Gyro a “rank amateur” work way better in dub. Granted, we’re only 4 episodes in, but considering our main duo(?) have already been established (I haven’t read the manga so please don’t spoil!), I’m inclined to watch the rest of the season in dub first, and then rewatch it later on in sub.

Lmk thoughts :D

I lowk wonder if snyone agrees with me. Boom boom family and tomb of the bomb is mid but every one lives them because they were animated

So it looks like the jjba the anination insta just posted a scene from the episode coming out in 5 hours from now…
Dont watch as spoilers, just thought id let everyone know in advance

I have not finished steel ball run (watching the anime) but I am almost certain gyro is going to die so I've just been preparing for as I do love him. I know the not because I was spoiled but because he's blond and a Zeppeli. Like if a blond is a main character and doesn't leave (like fugu) they will die no qeustions asked. Zeppeli's as well name one Zeppeli before part 7 that lived you can't.

chumimimi

almost done watching part 4 :^)

JoJo WTF, I watched the Jesus Christ Superstar musical and noticed that Heaven on Their Minds sounds kinda similar to the second JoJo opening. So I overlaid them and discovered that they sound literally 1:1. Are JoJo openings inspired by Christian rock?

this theory might be a bit of a stretch and might not add up fully but im just throwing it out there, but i think the world isn't entirely dio's stand. since dio has jonathan's body their souls could've mixed to make the world, which would explain why jotaro has an extremely similar stand to dio. i also think that hermit purple comes from the hamon in jonathan's body, not his soul, which would explain why joseph also has hermit purple, despite being incredibly different from jonathan.

So, I've tried to make a quick explanation of all types of Stand Evolutions, and why they happen that way and how and all... Basically, my question is if this is pretty accurate or should some explanations be different? (I understand that we don't really know how these work exactly, this is just my interpretation.)

Acts: Gaining a Fighting Spirit | Acts show a User's Growth, meaning a User isn't worthy of his stand originally, as they don't have the fighting spirit to have one. If they achieve the final Act, which is the original power the stand was supposed to have, it means they've reached Worthiness because they gained a true Aspiration, which comes with the fighting spirit to follow this Aspiration. (For example: Koichi was originally going to die, due to the lack of willpower, when he first got shot, but later on found the will to be his own person. Johnny simply wanting to know what spin is to heal his legs, but later on finds a true Goal to aim for.) How to Gain: When receiving a Stand, be deemed unworthy of it in a way.

Stand Upgrade: Fighting Spirit Stacking | Stand Upgrading is the integration of an additional Stand into the Main Stand, causing the Main Stand to gain the additional stand's ability. (For Example: Star Platinum gaining The World's Time Stop. Whitesnake gaining Green Baby's Relativistic Powers. Killer Queen gaining the Bites the Dust Ability.) How to Gain: Absorb another stand into your Own, either by a complex fusion or by getting a stand again through one of the various ways of getting one.

Requiem: Active Fighting Spirit | Requiem is the Power of the Active Fighting Spirit, meaning the Stand gains an Ability which supports the User in his current predicament the best. (For Example: Polnareff's Body was weak, so his stand is able to switch people's bodies and mutated them. Giorno was fighting Diavolo, so his stand is able to undo Diavolo's action [and anything for that matter]) How to Get: Stand needs to be pierced by the Requiem Stand Arrow.

Heaven: Passive Fighting Spirit | Heaven is the Power of the Passive Fighting Spirit, meaning the Stand gains an Ability which supports the User in his long-term Aspiration the best. (For Example: Pucci wants humanity to inherently know their own fate, so his stand gets to accelerate time and reset the universe. Dio wants to be a God, so his stand gets to control it all.) How to Get: Be at the exact coordinates in Cape Canaveral on a New Moon, which is where & when Gravity is weakest and you 'reach' above the earth into heaven, after your stand has absorbed the Life force of 36 souls through a Vessel like Green Baby or the Stand itself, and after said souls were stabilized in the Stand using the 14 phrases.

random doodle I made that eventually turned into a full art piece ➕

I really started to like steel ball run when blackmore arc started. I want to make a full Halloween costume

Every character especially those, looks like a complete museum in it's own

When you see one of these characters, their design just sticks with you, and you have that moment like “Oh, he looks so cool”

Jojo plays with gender and sexuality a lot in its series but there aren’t many explicit examples of it. Dio was confirmed as bi but that was outside of the story by Araki. Never stated within

Then there were the two gay characters in part 5 who were very minor

Dragona I have heard mixed things about on their gender

so I ask the question

will Jojo ever actually be gay and not queerbait

edit: I should have preference that I’m a anime only I felt like my post made it clear I had not read part 9

What I mean is, Stroheim isn't viewed as generally bad character, a lot of people like him not as a villian, but as a JoBro™ (including me).

By beloved in pop culture I mean in non/anti nazi culture, in case someone didn't get it.
