Is the drop box on N 62nd and Phinney legit?
I know probably being paranoid but obviously this election matters a ton and just want to be sure my vote is counting!
I noticed a new (at least I think it's new) drop box on the NE corner of N 62nd and Phinney Ave N and just wondering if anybody could tell me if it's real/valid? I didn't see it in the local voters pamphlet but it is listed on the WA Secretary of State website so it likely is. Any info is helpful though!
Edit: it does show upon the official king county elections website so I think it's legit

Event Calvin Harris tickets are up for Capital One members and the pricing is absolutely insane
You could buy a ticket to ultra Miami for the less money and see him plus dozens of other artists over 3 days for this price. Absolute insanity.

Found Found iPhone in Eastlake
Like title says, found an iPhone in the street in Eastlake last night. Couldn't find any contact info and although the "find my iPhone" alert was buzzing I couldn't figure out any way to respond - no emergency contact info, name, nothing. It seems the phone has now been wiped of all data soooo if this sounds like it's your phone please DM me! Lmk what intersection/street you think it was lost at, what model of iPhone and what the case & background look like so I can confirm.

Community Looking for knitting/crochet volunteer opportunities
Hello! I'm from the Seattle area and I would like to learn how to exercise my love for crafting and helping the community. I don't know how to knit or crochet, but am interested in learning so I can contribute my work towards organizations that may need extra blankets or things like that. I would love to attend a class on knitting/crocheting and begin working on projects to donate to animal shelters, homes less shelter, or any other organization that could use such help.
Does anyone know where I can get started? I don't really have any supplies- just time and energy to dedicate towards helping and learning something new! ❤️

Anyone hear the gunshots? I didn’t hear a car or anything after. Nothing at all, maybe two guns going back and forth and then nothing.

Seeking fellow person/people with chronic illness for Calvin Harris
I don't know if this is allowed here but trying anyway.
I am 35 and after contracting COVID in 2021 my life went from an over functioning, productive person with a huge social life , attending every single edm concert there was , to a person who has really just struggled to have any hope and fighting the medical system. I work in tech and this year has been especially hard since I became housebound and sometimes even bedbound.
I'm making a bit of recovery but I know the life as I knew it is over for me .
For a long time I've wanted to go to a Calvin Harris concert and I'm hoping there is someone in the same boat as I am? This maybe my last concert in life , since I cannot seem to find ways to manage my disability.
I cannot stand in lines or stand on my feet and dance and jump, but I'm hoping they have some seating /accessibility for people with disabilities. Anyway if you vibed with what I said, do let me know! It could be great!

Everyone in this sub who can afford it should buy a basket of groceries from Lam's Seafood!
If you're upset about the recent controversy falsely accusing Lam's of EBT fraud, one big thing we can do to support them is to go out and buy groceries from them. According to this article posted this morning, Lam's has apparently seen an 8-10% decrease of sales in the last couple days since the controversy broke out.
If even a fraction of people in this sub go out and shop there, it would likely help support them through this time. They have locations both in the International District and Tukwila. Let's show people like Nick Shirley that they can't mess with our city!

Sound transit Bus fare question.
Is anyone having issues when paying for the bus fare with Apple Pay? Yesterday I tapped and the bus ticket machine said declined but I was still charged. I tapped a 2nd time and it went through. I was charged twice. Today I used Apple Pay again bus ticket machine said no go and my Apple Pay balance went down. When I use my bank card it’s no issue.

Favorite Local Ad from the Past
After the question about the Southwest Plumbing commercial was raised, it put me in mind of goofy local ads. I’m not sure if anyone remembers the rug company who used a gimmick that they were having a closing sale for years until the state had to step in and make them stop. This earned them a parody segment on Almost Live.

So what was your favorite ridiculous local ad?
