So, is the satisfactory calculator just not usable anymore? Or is it just some things?
Started a new world, got to fuel power, made a turbofuel power plant. As I went through everything dubble checking stuff I realised the calculator is wrong in... almost everything
Goal: 300/min turbofuel
Calculator says 540/min crude oil, wrong I only need 303.75/min,
5 refinery making 54 fuel/min using 60.75 crude oil / min,
54 fuel×5 = 270.
270 fuel across 16 refinery using 16.875/min each making 18.75 Turbofuel.
16.875 ×16 = the 270 fuel needed and 18.75 ×16 = the 300/min turbofuel I want.
Calculator says, 240/min coal & sulfur for 240 compact coal. Wrong. 192/min of each spread across 10 assembler making 24/min each, 240/min total. 192 not 240.
It did get the amount of generators I can run with 300/min turbofuel correct, 16 at 2.5 speed, but thats it.
Here's a pic of the calculator as well. Writing on my phone so taking a pic was just the fastest.
I have been made aware that I'm just stupid. I forgot that I changed the amount of resources required for progression, so yeah its probably that...

I had to abandon my first Satisfactory Plus playthrough back when Vanilla 1.2 got released. I wasn't willing to wait for that sweet-vehicle-pathing-redesign goodness. I had made it far enough into Phase 2 to confidently feel like, "Okay, I get it, it's more complex. I have plenty Adderall. This mod is awesome."
So, after completing my Vanilla 1.2 run (~50 tractors, no roads), I picked SF+ back up. I've been making solid progress and I'm in the middle of Phase 3, at Tier 6.
"Hmmm... Magnitar... and I only need a few thousand. Sounds easy enough... Wait.... WHAT?"
SF+ turned up the complexity to #11 on this one!
LOVE IT!

i hope someone with more knowledge can help me. I am trying to balance my aluminum setup. I have a bunch of sloppy alumina refineries that produce 240 solution. I combine 2 of those in a mk2 pipe, connect those to a bunch of electrode aluminum scrap refineries, and then use a T junction hoping that the remainder would flow to the next pipe (attached to the t-junction) with the same setup.
Everything is prefilled. But does this actually work or am I too hopeful here?

I mean, they did go out of their way to make it immersive and beautiful. (Especially the red forest. So amazing.) So congratulations to the devs, because I don't want to ruin it. But damn if it isn't hard to get things done without hacking a path clear. Does anyone else share my odd sentimentality about virtual plantlife? Do you have ways of respecting it, or do you just say F it and start blasting/buzzing/smothering?

I'm currently debating starting another save and have it ready for the DLC. I've never beaten the game, got to the last tier (barely) on one save where everything was ugly and a mess, and to tier 7 last year where things actually looked nice and "real", before getting burnt out. I'm trying to not use mods cause I figure most won't work with the DLC at first. Anyone have advice on how to progress through the game without getting overwhelmed or bored?

Spent some time looking at a SAM only setup using Sloops and converters after I saw a Short where someone was making nuclear power from SAM only.
Straightforward enough. As long as items don't require fuel or biomass products, anything can be made from SAM.
However, if you aren't able to access fuel products, the only options for power are Coal or Nuclear, both of which require water.
Now you can create water from SAM. The aluminum recipes can sloop into excess water, so can NF Uranium, Batteries and Silica.
However, the best I could get was 2000MW for 45/min water (enough to run one coal plant generating 75MW) or 10.6GW for 240/min water (enough to run on nuclear plant making 2.5GW).
Unless I have missed anything?
Might look at base recipe cost options and see if there is anything interesting there on the low power / high multiplier settings

Satisfactory Simulator.
Now with a dynamic view as you zoom in/out, visual diff before applying draft changes, a faster more streamlined UI, and rotatable factories! Import from a save or model your factory from scratch.
I understand there are lots of satisfactory tools posted here and these post aren't as awesome as the in-game content. Sorry in advance if you don't like this type of posts.
I continue to work on the site so I'm open to any feedback or suggestions.

Title: and if not, why?
unreal engine already supports Mac natively and they surely have a Mac flying around to compile it on there? (Yes i know it’s more work than that, but I recon it would pay off, I mean we already have console)

For context, I have created a highway to connect my steel and main factory. The image I have provided above shows one out of the majority of my tractors refusing to function while it was on its way back to my steel factory.
The Automated Wiring should have been unloaded at my main factory.
There is no coal left for fuel even though it just left the station, which leads me to believe no coal loaded at all.
I'm looking for any possible solutions to this.

On steam. Started all the sudden today. I run mods but nothing new or changed in weeks. Tried dx11, deleted a newer mod that i used for the first time yesterday. Other games work fine. My steam cloud storage for that game only has 5M left in it, could that be the problem? Has anyone else had problems today? Does anyone else ever ask questions online like this and hear themselves, in thier heads, with a whiney, crybaby voice?

Took a little break from the game and when I came back to it I can’t open the game because of this message, and I can’t change the mods since I can’t open the game

I am now at a point where I feel overwhelmed by the game (probably like a lot of other people) and dont know what to do and just lose myself in thoughts and problems. One of these problems is the following:
Say you go for modular design and you have some dedicated factories for parts and other factories with more advanced parts that require them. First of all how do you locate them all conveniently such that a train that is loaded unloads at the very next train station? What happens if the next train stations needs something from another train and is set to unload but then the wrong train arrives in the train station? Do you just build multiple train stations in parallel or even behind one another?
Also what about materials/min. You can calculate all you want but if the parts arrive per train how do make sure that one module always stays busy? Do you watch each of your trains with each loading and unloading process at least 2 times and then see if the module you built does not consume too much resources? That sounds like a complete headache so I figure there must be a better solution. But I cant come with one.

Hello fellow Pioneers,
Been a long time since I've posted anything here, been around since EA UD3 and I thought I would share my 10GW "quick and dirty" fuel gen build. This is not for late game at all. This is to get a nice boost to your power grid early on after completing phase 2 for the space elevator.
You don't have to unlock any alternate recipes for this to work.
You can kickstart this build using 3 Bio Burners(OC) until you build your first Fuel Generator.
You will need 8 Somersloops and 75 Power Shards to do this which shouldn't be hard to gather.
One pure node of Crude Oil(OC).
Four slooped Refineries(OC) making fuel.
You can either sink the Polymer Resin or make Plastic/Rubber with it, you only need to add 5 additional Refineries(OC), two for Plastic and three for Rubber and two Water Extractors.
The environmental footprint is low compared to some other peoples MEGA builds. 😄
PS. Bonus screenshot from when you could h4x Water Extractors in vanilla. lmao

Attempting to make some sort of backrooms type structure without looking any designs up for Satisfactory. I think it looks quite bad so far, but what do y'all think lol

I really like how it looks so far, way better than the first attempt. I wanna thank u/Fxg120xYXDE5 for giving me some mod recommendations to do this, lemme know what y'all think.

ive been playing satisfactory for a long time and while ive beaten the game, ive never been good at keeping my factories organized. i always build on platforms and ive attempted building from the miners onward and from the final storage back but i always end up with a mess of buildings and belts. was hoping for some advice for keeping things organized.

Hi all! I downloaded this game on a whim (PC) because it seemed right up my alley (open world, little bit of combat, primarily grinding) and in 6 hours, I’ve found a weird rainbow crystal, relocated my HUB once, completely demolished and rebuilt my setup three times, and have begun scratching my head about resource management + production line configuration. I think I’m too early game to have any specific questions (just built the space elevator) but… any tips for the greenest of the green? I’m no stranger to sinking thousands of hours into a game, but I feel like just grinding to meet the objectives is going to result in a massive, sprawling mess once I hit, like, tier 6. Like, I’ll be very advanced story/game wise with a very rudimentary setup. Anything I should focus on?
Oh! And how do you automate picking up leaves?? I’m getting really sick of picking up leaves. And how do you manage resources when one is far from another? I found a spot with an impure limestone source and a normal iron source, but the copper is far enough that walking between them is a hassle. I see there’s a jumper… is that what that’s for?
Thanks so much in advance!!

Fellow pioneers, I have built a screw flavoured spaghetti pile fit for a board game. You may be thinking, this is a completely unhinged mess, no, this is what peak efficiency looks like. Praise be to our benevolent and ever present A.I overlord. ADA.
