This was approved by the MODs, and can be used as a megathread for any of the fancasts for the upcoming Drag Race UK All Stars.
With the announcement of Drag Race UK All Stars, who would you choose to be on it?
For fun, let's have casts of 8 - one from each season.
I personally would exclude winners but I don't mind if you want to include them. As season 8 is ongoing, we can assume whoever you choose from that list is under the assumption that they don't win season 8. No spoilers please for unreleased episodes.
I absolutely loved this weeks episode ( despite wanting to give Mocha the BIGGEST hug). but my favourite part by far was Coral holding her pose on the runway! I don’t know why this made me laugh so much but I just love her and this moment.
What did everyone think of this episode? Does anyone wish someone had stood up for Mocha against KY?
Also loving Alik and Flesh here too.. certainly these 3 are my favourite of the cast.
The title makes it sound a lot more dramatic than it really is, but whatever- this is just something I’ve noticed over the course of this season that is really grating on me.
She’s been doing very well, consistently, for the last few episodes. And yet, every time she is critiqued she receives the same patronising comments:
- You actually did well!
- You surprised me tonight.
- You picked the right time to arrive to this competition.
- And the most egregious- I just hope you can keep this going and don’t fuck up next week!!
I’m paraphrasing, but you get the gist. Constantly treating her doing well as some sort of fluke or stroke of good luck. I don’t like how, when she did so well and was rightfully proud of herself, they had to mention the prospect of her somehow fucking it up in the next challenge. Like her talent is some sort of fleeting thing that she has to fight to keep a hold on.
She’s not the first queen to be spoken to/about this way, but it really annoys me!! Am I delusional of have other people noticed this too?
These are just some of my picks, I choose the queens based on who I think could be entertaining and bring something fresh to the competition!! I really love so many uk queens and I’m really excited for this season 🤧🩷
The spooky parody sounds like the sort of challenge that could separate the queens who are naturally funny from those who need a bit more direction. Acting challenges can be awkward when everyone is trying too hard, but they can also produce some of the most quotable moments of a season. I'm hoping the queens lean into the ridiculousness instead of playing it too straight. Who do you think will thrive in this one?
The queens this season are all so fabulous that I genuinely don't know how I'm going to handle the eliminations. There are so many fierce performers, and it feels like whoever goes home is going to leave something special behind.
I love a season where everyone brings something different to the table, whether it's the looks, the performances or just their personality. It's going to be tough watching some of these queens leave before they get their chance at the crown.
Which queen would you find hardest to see go home at this point?
This puff piece of a press release reads like it was written by the Grand High Bigot herself. Between the recent show cancellations and the censoring of Bethany Antonia's "Protect the Dolls" shirt, the regressive agenda is clear.
British drag isn’t limited to London. Belfast, Scotland, Wales, the North East, the Midlands, and elsewhere all have distinct styles, communities, and performance traditions. The show has cast from across the nations, but performers such as Coral-Hole Mandi are right that regional scenes deserve deeper exploration through casting, challenges, and guests. With the BBC ending the UK series after Series 8, which regional scene or local drag tradition do you most wish had been represented?
