Art/Creators Megathread Weekly Art/Creators Promo Megathread

Welcome to this Week's Art/Creators Promo Megathread!

Here you can share examples of work and links to creator's profiles (including your own!) as long as it is not on a Meta owned platform (Instagram, Facebook etc.) or Twitter.

Let's help our community artists, authors, designers, craft makers, musicians, singers, sculptors, performers, streamers and any other kind of creator get recognised and celebrate the amazing creativity in our community!

A few quick rules:

  • No AI/NFT Content.
  • Accounts shared must be creating own content, not solely reposting others.
  • NSFW Suggestive art (e.g. shirtless/pin up) is allowed but must be tagged. NSFW Explicit art (e.g. pornography, genitals visible) or NSFW suggestive of real people is not allowed. No links to exclusively 18+ platforms e.g. OnlyFans.
  • Creator must be actively posting on a platform other than Meta or Twitter.
  • Comments from users with less than 50 karma on this subreddit will be auto-removed to avoid spammers. (I will look to approve genuine ones when possible but no promises!)
  • Please respect if a creator says no reposts of their work - just share a link.

The art/work they create does not have to be LGBTQ+ related, we're here to help any creator who is LGBTQ+ promote their profiles, particularly if they're trying to establish themselves on a different one with the recent social media drama!

Looking forward to discovering some new creators with you all!

Need Advice Can a 13yr be Asexual??

My friend was talking about her sexual attraction to her boyfriend and I have never felt such attraction to anyone. Obviously I love people romantically and platonicly but I've never felt like, "yup I wanna fuck them". I have a girlfriend and I love her but I could never love her sexually. I see nude bodies more artistic then sexual and don't get aroused from seeing them. I understand I could be young but it's been hitting me recently when I heard kids in my class talking about sex they've been having (which I think is way too young). I'm almost in high school and I'm aware sexual feelings can develop around middle school but I haven't been able to feel anything towards people in that manner. Is it possible I'm asexual or maybe just not fully developed??

me and my friend disagree on transgender people?

me and this new friend(?) of mine recently got into a debate of transgender people and the meaning of gender.

he said that he thinks transitioning “has its cons” but he is friends with trans people and respects them. he also views gender as very black and white. i personally, think the opposite. gender affirming care is life saving and gender is a social construct that fits everyone differently.

we decided to agree to disagree, but i still feel weird about it. i don’t want to be friends or ass with someone who is iffy on the rights of trans people.

should i stop talking to him? or do i agree to disagree?

I don’t know what to do anymore. It’s painful not knowing what the right thing to do is.

• Upvotes

I’ve come across people who claim that transgender people who haven’t undergone gender-affirming surgery are “fake,” or that they have “internalized transphobia.”
And it’s not just one or two people—quite a few people seem to believe things like this…
That’s not true, is it? It’s perfectly okay to be transgender without undergoing gender-affirming surgery, right?
There’s so much criticism that I’m feeling completely overwhelmed and distressed…
Personally, I believe that if someone identifies as transgender, then they are transgender, regardless of their body, appearance, or whether they’ve had surgery. I also believe that gender-affirming surgery should not be a requirement for someone to be recognized as transgender.
But there are so many people criticizing others for this (or maybe they’re just the loudest voices?) that I’ve reached a point where I don’t know what to believe anymore.
Please, help me…

Need Advice Can’t figure out if I’m gay or bi

I’m a 17M and In the past year I’ve realized that I find men attractive. I’ve never been that into girls my whole life, I can definitely recognize that some are really good looking but they just don’t make me feel how others I’ve talked to describe it. I’ve tried talking to girls in the past and could never get into it that much, I just felt like something was missing. While with men on the other hand it feels different, like it’s something I actually want instead of what is “normal”. I force myself sometimes to watch straight porn to try and see if I enjoy it, and the whole time I feel miserable and stressed out. The whole time I can only think about how I don’t want to watch it, and guys I think look attractive. The thought of being with women in general kinda stresses me out while with men it’s the opposite. I try to fantasize about women but I genuinely just feel kinda uncomfortable the entire time. I feel like part of me must like women tho since I keep watching straight porn to see if I’m attracted to the women in it, even though it makes me feel really bad. Is there any questions I can sit down and ask myself to figure this out?

Need Advice Mother bought and ripped up a children’s book with queer parents

My mom bought this children’s book where many different types of parents were portrayed. It talked about how some kids have one parent and some kids have gay parents. But also it never explicitly said these things. I didn’t get a good chance to read it, she let me look at it shortly. But it was like just the kids saying things they like to do with their parents like playing baseball and it would say, I like playing baseball with my dads. At first when I asked my mom why she bought it she said the illustrations were cute. The next day she said the book was evil and went against the Bible. About a week after this I find the pages ripped out from the book and set in a stack on the table. My mom claimed that the book had gotten wet and the pages ‘fell apart’. Yeah sure they fell apart in perfect pages torn from the book. So now she has the pages stacked and she took them and put them somewhere but did not throw them away. It’s super weird. I’m wondering if maybe she’s going to burn them? I love my mom and I knew she was homophobic but this is strange even for her. Sometimes she has these weird weeks once every couple of months where god “tells her” to do things. I’m wondering if this is one of those times. One time I got a comic book that featured a sapphic couple and she found it and read it and said god “told her” to get rid of it as it was very evil. And this was maybe two years ago. But she’s back at it again. Then she had the audacity to ask me why I was acting weird but I felt super awkward and upset. Sometimes I forget the fact that if they really knew me they would hate me. I just need to vent so I’m not really sure what I’m expecting here but I’m just so frustrated and unable to move out at the moment.

Need Advice Guys am I bisexual or am I just confused?

For years, I’ve always felt this sexual attraction toward gay sex, but I never felt emotionally attracted to men themselves. I’ve always felt sexually, emotionally, and physically attracted to women, so I don’t know if it’s just a confusion between fantasies and my actual sexuality or if I’m really bisexual.

Need Advice Mom’s comments make me question my relationship, and it takes really serious mental toll on me

Hey yall, I’m in bed right now, crying a bit because I too many emotions to process

I’m in a relationship with a guy for 5 months now, and when talking about being with him, he has been some of the happiest moments of my life. I love it, but my mom and other societal pressures is getting to me mentally and I’m not sure how much I can really take

A list of things she has said (there is probably more but ones I can think off the top of my head)

-“you’re confused”
-“you’re going through spiritual warfare”
-“it’s just puppy love (aka like a “fling”)
-“you’re not gay”
-“your boyfriend is using you”
-“I don’t support it at all”
And again much more I can’t name as of now

Sure, she doesn’t outright call me slurs or beat me, but it’s this manipulation that keeps digging so far into my fucking brain it makes me question my relationship and if my love is real. It gets me sitting up in my bed sobbing, that maybe something I’ve put so much time and effort into and that I love is a result of confusion and “experimenting” . I’m able to be confident in the moment, but these thoughts stick with me and even brings out some internalized homophobic thoughts I still unfortunately carry from growing up around so much anti-lgbtq rhetoric.

I have no means to move out yet as in newly 18 and no where to go. They give me everything I need to live and do things, so I can’t be removed, but the mental toll is getting to a point where I’m having dark thoughts of ending the relationship (which I haven’t even got close to actually doing so, but more thoughts that send me into a panic attack when I do) or worse. I’ve told my boyfriend and he sympathies with me, but it’s just such a hard mental burden I’m bludgeoned with constantly and I’m not sure how much I can take.

If anyone has really any outlets, articles, or literally just any sort of advice or resources please I beg share them. I’m really just feeling trapped

Need Advice What is my sexuality bruh

Ok so... I'm a woman. When it comes to fiction. I'm only attracted to men. But when it comes to irl. I'm only attracted to women

Though I rarely have feelings for irl people but it's always women

What am I supposed to call myself? Straight-ficto lesbian-irl?
