I ordered this like a year ago lol. Original ETA was like April. I don’t even own a PC anymore, sold it after my cancer diagnosis. It does feel very nice though, might swing by a friends house to test it out before getting rid of it

Question Modern wired ONLY mice?

I've been using the Logitech G102 for around 8 years now (did have to replace it a few times throughout the years), and haven't really tried any other mice. This mouse is generally pretty comfortable and I didn't feel like it lacked in anything I was using it for (daily tasks, gaming). I got curious tho and kind of want to try other mice, maybe see if there is something that I will like more than the G102.

I'm pretty unfamiliar with what's new on the market and developments in mice tech, could you recommend me some good affordable wired only mice? Or some resources (blogs, youtube channels) where I can watch/read about them. If it matters I use a low-claw grip.

Thanks in advance!

Edit: Thanks for the recommendations!

Question Is the Keychron M4 worth it?

Post image
4 Upvotes

I personally enjoy smaller items, this is for most every item.

I have been using a Logitech G Pro Wireless for about 2 years, I really do love it, it's responsive, reliable, etc. The only problem I find with it is the shape, or how big it is. My hands naturally don't enjoy the shape of the G Pro, especially the length and hump in the middle.

I recently found out about fingertip (AKA half) mice. I find many of these shapes as quite nearly perfect for me, both flexible and easy to hold with the weight and size, for me atleast. I'm a bit on a tight budget, and this one fits the job for the budget. Therefore, if I could get one of these types of mice I imagine it'd be this one.

Any reasons why I should get a different fingertip mice? If so recommend another more budget friendly but still reliable mouse.

Mod Pulsar Tenz 2.0 Mini

Greetings Im from Asia (Philippines) and I rarely use my Pulsar mouse.

why did I bought it ? Im not a fan of Tenz nor Pulsar brand but I bought it bcos of its BLUE color as we all know, not many brands especially from mainstream release a BLUE colored mouse

that being said, if this post had enough karma likes, I'll mod my twice used Tenz mouse into 500or600 mAh battery from its stock 250mAh battery.

The mouse is working PERFECTLY well without any problems whatsoever, Im just getting OCD by the fact of the small battery and im playing on 2kHz polling rate.

I'll also buy another Tenz mini as backup and use my present Tenz mini to open up this sh*t and use it as my daily driver.

I did enough research including the type of battery, polarity of the PCB board and what type of connector it uses JST 1.00/1.25 or 1.50mm

I'll recheck this post after 24 hours

Help Looking for a budget-friendly wired gaming mouse with good Linux support

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for an affordable wired gaming mouse that works well on Linux (Arch-based distro, Hyprland/Wayland).

I'd prefer a brand that officially supports Linux, or at least has good compatibility with open-source tools like Piper or OpenRGB.

What I'm looking for:

Budget-friendly (around $20–40).

Wired connection.

Good sensor for FPS games.

Customizable DPI and buttons on Linux.

No Windows-only software required.

Which brands or models would you recommend?

Question A lightweight Razer Basilisk / MX Master?

Keep seeing negative comments about the weight of the new Basilisk. - OK.

What do you recommend instead with a similar design?

Office work (+ casual gaming). Ergonomic shape, full palm. 5-7+ buttons (the more, the better, but not full Naga). Preferably wireless.

And with <100g weight?

Question Need a recommendation for an odd fingertip grip style.

Hey everyone,

Long time FPS player, mainly arena fps like the finals and halo infinite (I’m addicted), occasional CS2, open to most shooters. I’m looking for a new mouse as I’ve been using the same Superlight for years and it’s never felt quite right.

Hand measures roughly 190mm x 110mm, I’ve tried to search based on algorithm calculations from Oblivity and the old RJN tool, not sure what to go with. I searched for people with a similar grip type to no avail. I do this strange thing with my pinky to grip the mouse with my thumb. Fingertip grip style with one contact point I circled.

Open to recommendations! Currently eyeing the pulsar crazy light mini or the GWolves fingertip offerings. My previous favorite was Logitech’s 2016 G Pro based on the G100 (I think?) but not sure there’s a modern equivalent with wireless.

Also, doesn’t have to be 8k polling, open to something like Zowie’s DW at 4k. Hope this helps and I thank everyone in advance if you respond!

Question ATK HUB changed my mouse name?

Thumbnail

I have an ATK A9 Pro Max 2.0 NK, but today I opened ATK HUB in my browser and noticed that my mouse was being identified as ATK F1 V3 ULTIMATE instead.

I thought it might be a browser issue, so I updated the desktop version of ATK HUB, but it still showed the same name.

I'm wondering whether ATK changed the product naming or device profiles because the A9 Pro Max 2.0 NK doesn't seem to be listed in the store anymore, or whether this is simply a device-identification bug in ATK HUB.

Skates for lamzu maya fnatic 8k

Hi,

I've just bought new artisan key83 mouse pad but I believe my skates in lamzu maya fnatic 8k are used too much over last 2 or 3 years. I would like to buy new ones but I don't which ones.

I asked about it chatgpt but it suggested me TigerV2, I saw comments about Jade and Gemini told me to buy Obsydian skates. After checking them it actually showed that some of them are faster, some are "balanced" or note "Control".

And I know, someone can tell me to check it by myself but I'm concerned about my factory skates for now and I don't really want to buy more than I actually need

Need Help Mouse Modification or Alternative

This is probably the stupidest thing you'll read today, just hoping someone can help.

I'm looking for someone who could modify or 3D-print an original Apple USB Hockey Puck mouse to add a scroll wheel and separate left and right clicks.

Or is there a macOS program that could let me scroll using the mouse? I know I can right click using a keyboard shortcut, so just solving the scrolling issue would be a huge improvement. The short USB cable would be the annoying part then. Still better than other mice that hurt.

Some background: I have nerve issues and ganglion cysts throughout my wrist and hand. I've had surgeries, but I still have problems finding a mouse I can comfortably use for a long time.

One really bad day with my arm, I did something silly and plugged my old Apple Hockey Puck mouse into my computer. I was happy I could use it pretty much all day with only slight irritation. Just the cord and no scrolling was irritating.

I think part of what makes it comfortable is that my palm doesn't rest on the mouse. I hold it between my fingers and move it that way. I also like the Logitech Pebble for similar reasons, but it's too thin, and its length causes discomfort after a while because I run the mouse into my palm. I need something a little wider and more substantial without being so long.

I also can't rely on my thumb to move the mouse because that causes inflammation around the cysts and aggravates the nerve issues.

I thought a trackpad would work since I want to move my fingers but not my whole wrist/arm but if I'm just moving one finger instead that also causes some irritation. If I move all my fingers using a trackpad I end up hitting the pad with one of my other fingers causes misclicks and such.

Mice I've already tried:

  • Logitech MX Ergo
  • Logitech MX Vertical
  • Logitech Lift
  • Logitech Pro X Superlight 2
  • Logitech Pebble
  • Logitech MX Master 3
  • Kensington Expert Trackball
  • Razer Basilisk V3
  • Razer DeathAdder
  • Razer Naga
  • Corsair Scimitar
  • JLab JBuds Ergonomic Mouse
  • Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse
  • Microsoft Surface Precision Mouse
  • Microsoft Intellisense Pro
  • Trackpads

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.

Has anyone modified an Apple Hockey Puck mouse before, or know someone who could? I'd also appreciate suggestions for unusual mice that might fit what I'm looking for.

At this point, I'm less interested in what should be comfortable ergonomically and more interested in finding something that actually works for my hand.

Thanks!

Just leaving this here.

Another program that silences faulty mouse switches—which tend to release and re-press the button multiple times—allowing you to keep using your broken mouse instead of throwing it away and buying a new one.

It has no graphical interface, nor does it provide any notification that it is running. If you wish to terminate it, you must do so via the process manager.

It is written in C using the Windows API and is compatible with Windows 95 and later versions; a 64-bit version is also available.

Its file size is 4KB.

Question Is it worth upgrading to a new superstrike x3 from an older gpx superlight?

Don’t really have any complaints about my old gpx and it’s still in nearly perfect condition so I’d be upgrading primarily for battery life, sensor upgrades, and especially for the hits system. Anyone with the superstrike think it’s worth the money or should I wait until some of Logitech’s competitors come up with their own hits style mice?

Question What mouse do you recommend?

Hi there! I have been using a Steelseries Rival 3 Wireless mouse for 5 years and I am looking for a new one. I want to find a mouse with specs that are as good as this one, or better. My requirements are that it needs to be wireless and symmetrical. In the last two years my mouse started eating batteries (it uses 2x AAA batteries), so I am thinking about getting one with a built-in battery, but I would love to hear other opinions. My budget is 100-120 euros.

Steelseries Rival Pro issue

When the battery level is in the 30% ish the scroll wheel stops registering steps. I thought it was defective at first. Everytime I swap to the fully charged battery is works perfectly fine until the battery life drops under 40%. Wtf is the issue?? never seen this before

Need a smaller then ATK A9 Plus, mouse suggestion for Valorant

Post image
1 Upvotes

So I recently bough this ATK A9 plus for 2900 from a guy on Facebook because I didn't realize that moving from Logitech G102, it would feel too light and too long. It's been maybe 20 days with this mouse and I'm not getting the feel of it.

I'm now thinking of selling it and getting a shape similar to G102

Can you please suggest another mouse under 2500 INR/$25?
