Bought a ₹32K tablet, but the replacement display has new issues. How many times should I get the screen replaced?
I recently purchased a tablet worth ₹32,000 from a trusted third-party dealer. Around 10 days after the purchase, I noticed some dull spots on the display, so I approached an authorized service centre to get them fixed.
The service centre replaced the display, and they said the tablet had passed all their checks. However, after comparing it with my friend's tablet of the exact same model under identical display settings, I noticed some new differences:
Yellowish display: My screen looks slightly warmer and less vibrant than my friend's.
Cyan/blue colour bleeding: There is a noticeable cyan tint along all four edges the display, especially on white backgrounds.
of
More reflections: My screen produces sharper, mirror-like reflections of my face, lights, and windows compared to my friend's tablet.
These issues aren't very obvious when using my tablet on its own. I noticed them mainly when comparing both tablets side by side under the same conditions. However, once you notice these differences, it's difficult to ignore them, especially considering the price I paid.
I'm now confused about what to do next. I've already had the display replaced once, and I'm worried that repeated replacements might introduce more problems rather than solve the existing ones.
I don't expect every display to be absolutely identical, but I do expect a satisfactory display on a ₹32,000 tablet, especially after an authorized repair.
Has anyone experienced something similar? What would you recommend at this stage?
I do
Thanks in advance!
