HELP! Samsung galaxy tab s11 ultra vs Apple ipad pro M4 7th gen

does anyone know which I should go for?

I need a tablet asap for studying, and have done soooo much research but just can't make up my mind, the main things I would use it for are:

-Note taking (will most likely use Goodnotes)

-Editing (CapCut)

- Gaming (I used to love gaming, however have got out of it over the years, I likely won't be doing to much gaming though, since I will primarily use my console)

- Digital art (I don't do digital art therefore I don't really have a bias on whether I like procreate or not, but I would love to get into it since I love drawing)

Annndddddd that's pretty much it I will use it for streaming tv shows occasionally, but that's not really my priority, Apple has a better gpu and cpu, so part of me thinks that would be the obvious choice, but Samsung has expandable storage, and storage has been a huge issue for me in the past from other devices (if anyone can share their experience with iCloud pls let me know) and, honestly I just can't decide.

Random extra points:

- I have had a Samsung phone before and disliked it, but also haven't had an iPhone since I've currently got a Google pixel.

-I don't really have an ecosystem.

-I will use it at least 5/7 days a week

-I have owned an iPad before but it was really old one, I have not owned a Samsung tab

If anyone has any advise it would be very appreciated, especially long term user review, even if you haven't owned one I would love to know your advice, or any reviews you would recommend (though I think I've seen them all at this point lol), Thanks!

Help Me Choose the Best Tablet for long-run

Help me choose a good tablet with excellent performance, no lagging, freezing, or hanging, good battery life, durability, display quality, long-term reliability, included accessories, and value for money. I want a tablet that will last at least five years without noticeable performance issues.

My usage: Professional work and note-taking.

Here are the options I’m considering:

  1. Xiaomi Pad 8 – ₹35,000
  2. Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ – ₹43,000
  3. OnePlus Pad 2 – ₹38,000
  4. Brave Ark – ₹33,000
  5. Lenovo Idea Tab Plus – ₹31,500
  6. Motorola Pad 70 Pro – ₹33,000

Which one should I choose? I’m mainly deciding between the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ and the Brave Ark.

My family already owns a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+, and our experience with it has been excellent. On the other hand, the Brave Ark has impressive specifications on paper and includes all the necessary accessories in the box.

I’m looking for a tablet that offers reliable long-term performance, smooth multitasking, excellent note-taking capabilities, good battery life, and a quality display. I also want something durable that will remain usable for at least five years.

Please help me choose the best option based on performance, software support, durability, display quality, battery life, note-taking experience, included accessories, and overall value for money.

If you know of any better alternatives in this price range, please recommend those as well.

Should I buy the Xiaomi Pad 7 (12/256GB) for $370 or Pad 8 (8/256GB) for $450 (both with keyboards)?

I’m trying to decide between these two tablet setups and could use some advice. My two main use cases are heavy mobile emulation (Switch, pc, etc.) and studying (note-taking, reading, multitasking). Here are the specs/deals I’m looking at: * Option A: Xiaomi Pad 7 (12GB RAM / 256GB storage) with keyboard for $370 (or without a keyboard for $355) * Option B: Xiaomi Pad 8 (8GB RAM / 256GB storage) with keyboard for $450 The dilemma is basically more RAM (12GB) on the Pad 7 for a lower price, versus the newer generation chip/hardware on the Pad 8, but limited to 8GB RAM, all with an $80 price difference. Which one makes more sense long-term? Is the Pad 8 upgrade worth losing 4GB of RAM and paying $80 more? Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences with either device!

I need a tablet for 3D modeling, but my budget is $250

I had a refurbished iPad 7 that lasted about a year. I need something stronger that will last longer, but money is a little tight at the moment.

I use Nomad Sculpt. The system requirements recommended for that app is 3GHz CPU and 8GB RAM.

But it can run on 2GHz and 4GB.

I'm open to Android and/or refurbished so long as I can get a protection plan.

I prefer something with good stylus support and a decent size (10").

Closest I've found so far is the Samsung A11+ and the iPad 9th Gen.

which tablet ?

hello,

i would like to ask you some recommandations for a tablet.

i'm using a samsung phone and a windows laptop, but i was thinking about buying myself a tablet for school (not necesseraly notetaking but using softwares with more flexibility, like canva, or even photoshop if needed!!) but also draw in my free time (using ibis paint x).

i would also like for my tablet to be strong enough for roblox or even genshin impact, even tho, its not a priority because i can run genshin on my laptop if needed. i just want to be able to play it on a support on which u can be more comfortable.

i was recommended the newest ipad air, but also the samsung s12+ and the samsung s11/s11+, but i'm not a fan of buying the s12+ because it is pricy.

i was thinking of buying myself the s9+ or s10+ but i'm scared that those options are starting to be outdated.

i would also like a tablet that with which i can have a stylus that is pressure abled.

Help me choose a tablet for work and private use.

I've been looking into the surface pro as I need command prompt for my line of work as I work with networks, CCTV, access control, ect...

I'd need to be able to use ethernet connections, do network scans and do most things a windows system can do.

I've been interested in the Xiaomi Redmi tabs but I'm not sure if it could do what I need it to. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

I'd also be using a keyboard with it so either one that has a keyboard attachment built-in like the surface pros or a decent plugin/Bluetooth keyboard.

Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+ Vs S11

Through a discount at work, I can get S10 FE for about €535 or the S10 FE+ for about €679.

The price of the S11 is about €999 - 1,099. I can't get that with the discount.

Would the S10FE or S10FE+ be worth it for that price compared to the S11? I'd mainly be using it for general usage and drawing or sketching if I want to use it instead of sitting at my desk for my screen tablet.

Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ vs iPad 11 (A16)

Hey everyone!

I've been looking for a tablet for studying, gaming, watching shows and drawing, but my main priorities are studying and drawing.

After doing some research, I've narrowed it down to two options: the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ and the iPad 11 (A16). However, I'm having a really hard time deciding between them.

The Tab S10 FE+ seems like a great deal because it comes with the S Pen, and sometimes a case, has a huge 13.1-inch display and a 90Hz refresh rate. The included stylus and larger screen seem especially useful for taking notes, reading PDFs and drawing.

On the other hand, the iPad 11 has a more powerful processor, and I'm hoping it will remain smooth and usable for longer. I could also buy a third-party stylus from Baseus instead of spending more on an Apple Pencil.

My main concern with the Samsung is that I've seen people reporting stutters, lag and apps reloading in the background. I'm worried about spending this much money on a tablet and regretting my decision later.

My budget is around R$3,000 (I'm from Brazil), and I want to buy a brand-new device that will last me several years.

I'd really appreciate honest opinions, especially from people who have owned their tablet for several months. I'd love to hear about the downsides too, not just the positives.

Thanks!

PC prices are actually insane right now

Is it just me or has building a PC become stupid expensive lately?

I was just browsing parts for a potential upgrade and… yeah, I closed the tab immediately. A few years ago you could throw together a solid mid-range build for like $800–1000. Now it feels like that kind of money barely gets you a GPU that's already a generation old.

And don't even get me started on prebuilts. They'll charge you a premium and then cheap out on the PSU or some no-name motherboard. Like, come on.

I know inflation and supply issues are a thing, but it really feels like you're getting way less for your money these days. Even used stuff is holding its value like it's made of gold or something.

So is this just the new normal? Or are there still ways to build something decent without completely emptying your bank account? What's everyone else doing?

5G tablet reco

Any tablet recommendations with 5G? As a student, I will be using it mostly for notes and readings so having its own pen is definitely a need as well.

Ideally, the price is below 30k PHP.

I wanted to get the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G first, but I heard it had a lot of issues (screen not responding, suddenly rebooting on its own) so it kinda put me off. I also liked the Samsung S10 Lite 5G but it wasn't available anywhere.

Recoms are highly appreciated!

Easy set up

Just purchased my first Android tablet and could use tips/tricks for set up and customization. Used to iOS from years of using iPhones but wanted the added memory and affordability when getting my first tablet and went with Lenovo Idea Tab 11 based off price/bundle and I already have Lenovo IdeaPad laptop that I can connect with as well.

Alexa 12 Pro is hot! ...or is it?

The basic Alexa 12 Pro is much faster and more powerful than the Samsung Tab S10 FE and the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro (gen 1). I'm surprised by how well the Alexa's Dimensity 8400 performs. However, the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro gen 2 out performs the Alexa.

The first of following links compares the Alexa's Dimensity 8400 to the S10 FE's Exynos 1580 processor. The second compares the 8400 to the gen 1's Dimensity 8300. The third compares the 8400 to the gen 2's Snapdragon 8s Gen 4.

Which tablet is the most attractive will depend on a number of factors, including their real prices and the buyer's preferred size, RAM and storage.

What are your thoughts?

does software play a role?

Hi guys! I got ipad a16 128gb storage last month. The battery life had been extremely good and amazing, also considering the fact I don’t use my ipad on a daily basis that much and just use it for studies and casual gaming sometimes. However, recently my ipad has been dropping battery even while not in use. This has never happened before, also considering how new it is. I usually keep my wifi off when it’s not in use, even then the battery percentage is dropping. Whenever I am also using it, theres a rapid drop in battery after like only 10-15 minutes of usage. So, I noticed that there’s a new update, should I update my ipad to fix this problem? As this issue is really new to me. Does updates in software play a role? As i have seen a bunch of people saying apple makes the outdated software bad knowingly, so that we update quickly. Please help me out here, I’d appreciate any help, a lot :)

TiBroke student trying to justify a massive tablet purchase for art and productivity. Roast my financial logic before I do something stupid.

So here’s the game plan I’ve been turning over in my head. I'm staring down my final 1.5 years of college, with a heavy mix of thesis work and OJT coming up, and I really need a solid mobile workspace and a proper canvas for my digital art.

Right now, my laptop is essentially a stationary desktop CPU glued to my apartment desk. My current phone—a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is actually still pretty good and handles calls, texts, and mobile Wi-Fi tethering just fine, except for the fact that ugly lines are covering about 30% of the screen. Because of that display issue, I’ve been trying to figure out what gear move I should go with first without sounding stressed or pressured about it.

Here are the options I've been overthinking about and cant get sleep over:

Option A (Phone Upgrade - Brand New Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra):

A brand new flagship phone that fixes the daily frustration of my cracked S22 Ultra screen and has an amazing camera, but it's heavily priced and doesn't give me the multi-window workspace or large canvas I need for design and schoolwork.

Option B (Tablet Upgrade - Second-Hand Samsung Tab S8 Ultra):

A pre-owned, massive 14.6-inch canvas for digital art, split-screen coding/research docs, and acts as a secondary monitor for my desktop-style laptop when I'm at my desk.

The Proposed Setup (Going with Option B):

Second-hand Samsung Tab S8 Ultra (retailing around ₱29,500 / \~$470 USD).

\* The Down Payment: Slapping down ₱15,000 cash (\~$238.50 USD) upfront straight from my savings (which leaves me with a safe ₱10,000 / \~$159 USD emergency buffer untouched).

\* The Installment: Putting the remaining balance on a short 6-month installment plan via Home Credit.

It feels like a fun way to treat myself to a tool I'll actually use every day for school and art. What do you guys think—does this 6-month sprint sound like a solid move for a pre-owned tablet setup, or should I reconsider a brand new Option A? What yall think?

Looking for a used tab under 15k

Looking for a second-hand tablet under ₹15,000 mainly for drawing, digital art, and sketching. Good stylus support with pressure sensitivity, palm rejection, and a smooth drawing experience are my priorities. Please suggest the best options available within this budget.
