Legal Advice Needed A law firm in Mumbai quoted 3 lakhs for a "pro-bono" case to a destitute

I am the victim in the above article, I have been living like a destitute for the last 48 days, trying to seek justice and save my career.

I have been rusticated from FLAME university without a proper reason, and I was denied natural justice, no show-cause notice, no hearing, nothing.

Yesterday, I get a message from a representative of a very big law firm in Mumbai saying that they were willing to do it on a pro-bono basis, I booked a general ticket and went to mumbai.

I showcased my issue to the senior advocate in the law firm and they said that "we take cases for free, but we are currently running at a full capacity on pro-bono" they said that they will quote a nominal price for the matter as I was a student, they quoted "1.5 lakhs now and 1.5 lakhs at the time of petition" and added that It was "nominal" I was blown for a minute and they added that their general fees is "5 lakhs".

I had no choice but to walk away in disdain, I came here with extremely high hopes. I have been trying everything that is possible but almost every lawyer quotes fees that I cannot afford.

If someone has a lawyer reference in Bombay who is willing to do it for pro-bono please let me know util then I will be staying in CSMT and going to some pro-bono clinics.

I really want to save my career, I have been suffering an atrocious form of torture since the last 48 days, it just makes me sad that I put in this much efforts and secured a 100% merit scholarship and all my peers are going to their universities and here I am living like a destitute.

I can't understand how I am supposed to get "justice" if I can't afford "justice"

now there are going to be many comments saying "many tried to help you", I agree but none of them were able to get me done with writ petition till now.

I genuinely don't know how I will save my education now.

🚨 Now there are gonna be comments saying that "alot of people offered you help", thats true only upto legal advice, no one till now gave me in-court representation. Before interacting with the PR team and getting swayed away by downvotes, please look at the proofs. Obviously a billionaire institution can hire 20 people to protect their reputation and manipulate the thread by downvotes. Furthermore, Openly challenge me with proofs that I rejected help.

Your manipulation tactics will not work, Satyameva jayate

Legal Advice Needed My girlfriend's manager makes the whole team sit in the office till 2 am.

As the title says, my girlfriend's manager makes her stay until 2:00 AM every night. The company does not provide cabs, nor are they responsible for her travel safety. Even though the work could easily be completed from home, she is forced to stay until 2:00 AM every single day.

Is there any legal way I can raise a complaint so that she is not negatively affected and my name is kept completely anonymous? Or is there any other solution to this problem?"

Legal Advice Needed Advice needed for fighting with amazon for 80k refund

I’m looking for advice from people who have dealt with a similar situation with Amazon India.

I had originally ordered a laptop from Amazon at a significantly lower price.

Amazon cancelled my original order.

I contacted Amazon customer support and eventually received a written email from Amazon asking me to purchase the same product again. The email specifically stated that after the new product was delivered and the return/replacement window closed, Amazon would provide the price difference in Amazon Pay/gift balance.

I have the complete email from Amazon with this commitment.

Based on that written confirmation, I placed the replacement order at the higher price.

However, approximately one hour after placing the replacement order, I called Amazon again to confirm the process. During that call, I was told that the escalation team would not provide the price difference because the amount was very high (around ₹80,000).

The important part is:

The written confirmation came before I placed the replacement order.

I placed the replacement order relying on that written confirmation.

The refusal happened only later during a phone call.

I have not received any email/message from Amazon cancelling or withdrawing the earlier written commitment.

The Amazon email does not mention any ₹80,000 maximum limit or an undisclosed approval limit.

I have the original cancelled order, Amazon's email, the replacement order and invoices.

I am planning to keep the replacement product until the return/replacement window closes, since Amazon's email specifically says the price difference will be provided after that.

My questions:

Can Amazon later argue that the phone call one hour after my purchase cancelled/revoked the earlier written commitment?

Since the refusal was only verbal and there is no written cancellation, how significant is the original email?

If Amazon refuses to pay after the return window closes, would National Consumer Helpline / Consumer Commission be a reasonable route?

Has anyone here had Amazon make a similar written price-difference promise after cancelling an order, particularly for a large amount?

Has anyone successfully recovered the promised difference through NCH or Consumer Commission?

I know ₹80K is a very large difference, so I'm particularly interested in actual experiences or consumer-court cases, rather than general opinions.

Legal Advice Needed Need a lawyer or consultant for an Insurance Ombudsman case: ICICI Lombard rejected EV battery replacement after Mahindra declared the battery unfit

Mahindra XEV 9e owner. In September an underbody impact dented the high-voltage battery's cooling plate. Mahindra has confirmed in writing that the battery is not repairable and is unfit for use, and recommends replacing it. The claim is about ₹11.8 lakh. The policy is ICICI Lombard with zero depreciation.

ICICI rejected the battery "as per technical evaluation" and hasn't shared that evaluation despite my requests. The survey report has no tests, measurements or photos of the battery. They assessed ₹2,882 against the ₹11.8 lakh estimate. My grievance on IRDAI's Bima Bharosa portal got the same one-line rejection twice. The car has been sitting at the dealer for a month.

I'm filing with the Insurance Ombudsman, Bengaluru, and I'm looking for:

  1. a lawyer or claims consultant with Ombudsman or motor-claim experience (Karnataka preferred; online is fine)
  2. help drafting the complaint and preparing for the hearing
  3. a fixed fee, not a percentage of the claim

All my documents are ready: Mahindra's letters, the survey report, the estimate, photos and the full grievance trail.
Recommendations or DMs welcome. I'd also like to hear from anyone who has won a similar motor or EV battery claim at the Ombudsman.

Legal Advice Needed MMT cab had brake failure near Salem (5+ hr delay, ₹40k loss), MMT closed the ticket with a ₹500 refund, and now the driver is threatening me for money. Need advice on next steps.

• Upvotes

Booked a 3-day outstation cab to Munnar through MakeMyTrip recently and it turned into a complete nightmare. Need some advice on how to take this forward legally and deal with the driver harassing me.
First off, the cab they sent was filthy and clearly hadn't been maintained. Around 20 km before Salem, the brake pads failed. Heading towards a hill station like Munnar in a car with failing brakes could have literally killed us.
Because of the brake issue, we spent about 2 hours (around 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM) crawling at a snail's pace just trying to find a mechanic. We finally reached a repair shop at 10:30 AM and were stuck there until 1:40 PM.
For over 3 hours, we were stranded in an isolated area in peak heat without proper food or water. We were sitting stranded in the heat like that. I called MMT support multiple times while we were stuck, and they did nothing—no replacement cab, no assistance. Because of this 5+ hour delay, our Day 1 itinerary was washed out and the delayed hotel check-in caused us a mental and fiancial loss.
When I raised a complaint, MMT sent a standard reply claiming the repair only took "1 hour," and since we eventually reached Munnar safely, they processed a ₹500 refund as a "final resolution" and closed the matter.
Their 1-hour claim is completely false. We were at the repair shop from 10:30 AM to 1:40 PM, which MMT can easily verify through the vehicle's GPS logs and my call recordings with their customer support during that exact timeframe.
Update - Driver Threats:
After I replied to MMT rejecting the ₹500 refund and questioning their vehicle safety checks, the cab driver contacted me today threatening me and demanding money. So not only did MMT provide an unsafe vehicle, my personal number is with a driver who is now intimidating me.
Evidence I have:
Videos of the unhygienic condition of the cab and the breakdown/repair location.
Call recordings with MMT support while stranded between 10:30 AM and 1:40 PM.

Questions:
1. How do I get this past MMT's first-level support to a Nodal/Grievance Officer who actually reads the evidence?
2. Should I file on the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) first, or send a legal notice and file directly on e-Daakhil (Consumer Court) under the Consumer Protection Act?
3. What is the best way to report the driver's threats (local police / cybercrime) so that MMT is also held accountable for their vendor's behavior?

TL;DR: MMT assigned an unmaintained cab for a 3-day Munnar trip that suffered brake failure near Salem. We were delayed by 5+ hours in extreme heat lost on hotel/itinerary bookings, and got zero help from support. MMT lied that the delay was only 1 hour, forced a ₹500 refund as "final settlement," and today the cab driver started threatening me for money. Looking for legal and escalation advice.

Legal Advice Needed Flipkart exchange: value cut from ₹9,250 to ₹6,700 at doorstep despite their own diagnostic app passing the phone. Any avenues beyond NCH?

Bought a Pixel 11 on Flipkart (No Cost EMI) with my OnePlus Nord in exchange. Looking for advice on what else I can do.

What happened:

  • I declared the Nord as “Good” (Flipkart’s description: “minor scratches, dents”) because it had a small dent. Value: ₹9,250.
  • Delivery was promised for 10 Oct but came on 14 Oct, and I was rushed because I had to leave for work.
  • The agent’s assessment cut the value to ₹6,700: −₹2,230 for screen checks (minor discoloration, “screen/body coming out”, scratches) and −₹320 for dents. I paid the ₹2,550 difference by UPI. Guy even took the box which as brand new. Yes, I know accepting was my mistake.

Why I think it’s wrong:

  • Two days before pickup, I ran Flipkart’s own exchange diagnostic app (Flipkart reset) on the phone. It passed screen discoloration, touch, and every functional check. I have a video of the whole test.
  • I have dated photos and a video showing no visible gap between the screen and frame. Flipkart’s own reference images for “screen coming out” show obvious separation.
  • “Good” already covers dents, but they deducted for dents again.
  • ₹6,700 is basically their “Below Average” price (₹6,650), meant for phones with screen and body defects or functional issues. Mine passed every functional check.

Separately, Flipkart showed the EMI processing fee as ₹299 + GST, but Axis charges ₹599 + GST for amounts over ₹50,000 (confirmed in writing).

What I’ve done so far: complaint with customer care (resolution promised in a few days), and a full email with evidence to the grievance officer. Planning to go to the National Consumer Helpline if that fails.

Questions:

  1. Has anyone got money back after accepting a reduced exchange value? What worked?
  2. Is there any escalation besides the grievance officer and NCH that actually gets results?
  3. Has anyone used e-Daakhil for a small claim like this (~₹2,900)? Was it worth it?
  4. Any tips for getting the delivery agent’s inspection photos?

Thanks in advance.

Legal Advice Needed Terminated "for performance" after 2 months at a Bangalore startup, no notice pay, and their lawyer says it was "insubordination". Is the Labour Commissioner the right route for a 2L claim?

Bangalore. I want to know which forum actually works for a claim this size. I'm fairly sure the money is owed, so that part isn't the question.

What happened

I joined a small fintech startup (under 10 people) on 1 May 2026 at a "Director" level, 25L CTC. The title sounds senior but it was a one man vertical. I handled borrower cases, filings, vendor follow ups and calling myself. Nobody reported to me and I had no budget authority.

The appointment letter's termination clause has (a) employee gives 30 days notice, (b) company can terminate with or without cause with 30 days notice or salary in lieu, and (d) misconduct, immediate termination without notice. The probation clause says probation doesn't start unless the company confirms it in writing. I never got any such confirmation.

On 30 June I was told over lunch that it wasn't working out. Same day my email, GitHub and tool access were removed. The company emailed a termination letter saying "performance has not met expectations during probation". June salary was paid. No notice, no salary in lieu.

There was never a warning, PIP, show cause or any written feedback in those two months.

I wrote asking for 30 days salary in lieu under clause (b) on 8 July, 13 July, 31 July and 7 October. No reply to any of them.

On 9 October a lawyer replied for the company saying the termination was for insubordination under clause (d), so nothing is owed. No instances were given. I asked for dates. On 14 October the lawyer sent a list of 8 items. Every single one is "did not respond to email dated X" or "did not share Y sheet" or "said Z would be live this week and it wasn't". I have WhatsApp records showing at least three of these are plainly wrong (the sheet was shared the same day, the candidates were screened and told so, etc). I can't check the emails they cite because my access was cut on day one.

The claim is Rs 2,08,333, one month gross.

Where I stand

Their own letter says performance. Performance is clause (b). Nobody invoked clause (d) at the time, and (d) itself requires a written notice for misconduct, which the only written notice I got doesn't say. Their list is a list of missed deliverables, not refusals. That's a performance complaint, which is what they said in the first place.

The Karnataka Shops and Establishments appeal window of 30 days has passed. I'm not after reinstatement or damages. Just the one month.

What I want to know

  1. For someone with a "Director" title doing hands on work with no reports, will the Labour Commissioner's office in Bangalore (Karmika Bhavan) register a complaint, or do they turn white collar cases away at the counter? Has anyone here done this at a 1.5L+ monthly salary?
  2. If they register it and the company doesn't show up for conciliation, is there anything after that besides a failure report and a civil suit?
  3. For a 2L contractual claim, is a civil recovery suit in Bangalore worth the lawyer fees and time? Any idea of cost and how long it takes?
  4. The lawyer is leaning on the words "failure to comply with the directions" in clause (d) to cover things like not replying to an email. Does the company switching from "performance" in its own letter to this, through a lawyer 100 days later, count for anything, or is it just noise?

Not naming the company.

Termination letter dated 30 June, relevant part: "performance has not met expectations" during probation. No mention of misconduct, insubordination.

Happy to share the wording/clauses over DM if you're a practising advocate.

Legal Advice Needed Sony India asking for bank details of original buyer for refund

Hi all,

I bought a used Sony pulse explore headphones to use with my PlayStation Portal in Feb 2026. I started encountering issues with it starting July. There were frequent audio cutoffs and one side disconnections even in the most ideal of conditions both when connected to the Portal or to my PS5. Also at times the left bud would get a bit warm in the ear.

I approached the Sony service center here at my location. First they kept it for a week and then said there is no issue with the product. So I took it back from them and used for a few days and encountered the same issues. So I reached out to Sony via their email address and got a response asking me to submit the product again at the service center and to connect with their regional service head. Again the same 'there are no issues' chants were hailed back at me. So one day I went to service center, stayed for over and hour there and showed them the actual issue post which they were convinced that there is indeed an issue. After that they kept it for quite some time and there was no communication from them. I was also busy with personal stuff as there was a death in the family.

Last week I was informed by the service center team that there is no replacement available so they want to refund me the amount and asked for bank details to provide the refund to. I provided my bank details. Now they are saying that they can refund to the person whose name is on the invoice. Ofcourse I am not in contact with the person I bought it from as it was from a WhatsApp group used items seller.

Yesterday I received an email from Sony asking me to provide the bank details of the invoice name person and I responded saying I can't do that and shared my bank details. Today they sent then same email again but added that if I dont provide his bank details then I should just go and collect my old problematic headphone from the service center.

What can I do in this situation? Can I file a complaint on NCH or something?

I just dont want to take a loss on my legitimate used product purchase.

TLDR- Gave Sony my second hand headphone for replacement within warranty. They can't replace so they offered refund but want me to give the bank details of the original buyer and are denying refunding to my account.

Please advise.

Thanks.

Legal Advice Needed NRI Marriage Registration from US

Me (Hindu) and wife (Hindu) got married in a Gurudwara in Mumbai during pandemic (2021) but did not register the marriage with local registrar. We moved to US soon after and have been here since then.

How do we register our marriage in India? We are from Mumbai. It seems application process is online but we still have to be present in person to complete the registration.

Is there a legal way to register our marriage from US?

Indian embassy in US allows for marriage registration if the marriage was solemnized in US. Ours was solemnized in Mumbai, India.

Legal Advice Needed Living in a apartment with no lifts in GGN

• Upvotes

My father bought a apartment in 2011. We took fitout possession in 2024 and like 100 others in society we living in a incomplete project. Builder has no intentions to complete it or get OC and the maintenance agency is also managed by him. I have been paying maintenance charges and all charges and yet only 1 lift works since years and now since months the only lift keeps breaking down daily as no amc for lift maintenance and it's handled by a plumber. Builder also never pays electricity board and we get power cuts by dhvbn and then builder forces us on DG with 30rs unit charges for no fault of ours. People daily get stuck in lifts and there is no power backup in lifts also. Police complaints have also not helped us.

I have complained on cpgrams, emailed haryana electricity department with no avail. There are already multiple cases ongoing in courts with multiple agencies including ED and enforcement directorate.

What can a common man do to ensure builder pays govt. vendors and lift safety is resolved. I just want safe working lifts for which I'm already paying 6300 a month.

Legal Advice Needed Need urgent help finding an affordable criminal lawyer in Ahmedabad (CJM Saras Court) for an out-of-station borrower (Uttar Pradesh). Please guide me.

Hi everyone,

I am writing this post with a lot of humility, and I want to completely acknowledge that I made a big mistake. A few months ago, due to an extreme financial crisis, I took a personal loan from a digital lending app backed by an NBFC called Chinmay Finlease Limited.

Because of continued financial hardship, I missed my EMIs starting from June, and my auto-debit (e-NACH) bounced. I completely accept that it was my responsibility to manage my finances better, and I am not making excuses for failing to repay my debt on time.

Because the auto-debits bounced, they have filed a legitimate case against me under Section 25 of the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007 (which I understand carries criminal liability and is treated exactly like a cheque bounce case). I have verified the CNR number on the official eCourts portal, and the case is real.

The details are:

• Court: Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, SARAS N.I. Court No. 2, CJM Courts, Ahmedabad City.

• Next Date of Hearing: 07-11-2026 (November 7).

My Situation & Problem:

I am currently based in Varanasi, and traveling all the way to Ahmedabad for this initial hearing is financially impossible for me right now.

I want to be absolutely clear: I intend to pay the full amount to clear this loan. However, I do not have the funds right now due to my current crisis. I am in a position where I will need about 3 months of time to clear the entire outstanding balance.

I deeply respect the legal process and do not want to ignore the court. I need to hire an experienced, pocket-friendly criminal defense advocate in Ahmedabad who can file a Vakalatnama and a Section 317 CrPC exemption application on November 7 to represent me. My goal is to have a professional explain my financial hardship to the judge, safely secure a next date, and help me buy the 3 months I need to clear the dues or request the court to refer this to a Lok Adalat session for an installment-based settlement.

My Request to the Community:

  1. Can anyone living in Ahmedabad recommend an affordable, trustworthy lawyer who routinely handles Section 138 / Section 25 PSS Act matters at the Gheekanta / Saras City Courts?

  2. What is the usual baseline fee a local lawyer would charge just to appear on this first date, file the appearance/exemption paperwork, and secure an adjournment?

  3. If there are any practicing advocates from Ahmedabad on this sub who can take up my matter or guide me, please drop a comment or DM me.

I am genuinely stressed but fully committed to fixing my mistake the right way through the legal system. Any guidance, advice, or leads would mean the world to me right now. Thank you so much for your time and understanding.

Legal Advice Needed family drowning in debt — earning around ₹1 lakh/month but unable to manage everything. What should we do?

Dear flocks my family is going through a serious financial crisis. I'm posting here hoping to get practical advice from people who have experienced debt problems or understand personal finance, banking and loan settlements.

Our family has accumulated several debts over the years, and things have reached a point where our current income is not enough to manage everything comfortably.

Here is our situation:

- Monthly income: Currently, we earn around ₹1 lakh at most, but it can vary.

- Monthly living expenses: Approximately ₹20,000–₹30,000.

- Private borrowing: Around ₹28 lakh borrowed from an individual at ₹3,000 interest per month for every ₹1 lakh borrowed. That's effectively 3% per month or 36% annually if calculated simply, and the interest burden is becoming extremely difficult to manage.

- Bank debt: Our family business has an overdraft facility with South Indian Bank. The outstanding is around ₹24 lakh, and the bank has now issued a SARFAESI possession notice concerning a property used as security.

- Electricity and water bills: We are also facing KSEB and Kerala Water Authority issues, including arrears and disconnection/recovery concerns.

- Business situation: My father is the proprietor of our family business, but it has been largely non-operational for the past 2–3 years. The business is no longer generating the cash flow it once did.

The biggest problem is that we don't have a substantial amount of cash available to settle these loans immediately. Even though the family currently earns some money, the accumulated debt, interest and other expenses make it feel like we're not making meaningful progress.

I'm trying to understand what we should prioritise instead of making the situation worse.

I would particularly appreciate advice on these questions:

  1. How should we prioritise multiple debts when we cannot pay everything at once?

  2. Is it realistic to negotiate a one-time settlement or convert a bank overdraft into an EMI-based term loan when the business is no longer operating?

  3. What options do we have when a bank has issued a SARFAESI possession notice but we cannot immediately repay the outstanding amount?

  4. How should we approach a private lender charging 3% monthly interest? Is there a practical way to negotiate a lower rate or structured repayment?

  5. What should we do about KSEB and Water Authority arrears while trying to resolve the larger debts?

  6. Are there any legitimate debt-counselling services, legal-aid options or experienced professionals in Kerala who can help us make a realistic recovery plan?

I'm not looking for ways to escape legitimate liabilities or hide assets. We want to find a lawful and realistic way to get out of this situation without losing everything.

If anyone has gone through something similar, especially involving bank recovery proceedings, private debt and a struggling family business in Kerala, I'd really appreciate hearing what worked and what mistakes we should avoid.

Thank you.

Legal Advice Needed Pune rental scam – intermediary took ₹30,000 deposit and stopped responding. How can I recover it?

Hi everyone, I need advice regarding a rental issue in Marunji, Pune.

TL;DR: I paid an intermediary(who called me from nobroker) ₹30,000 as a flat security deposit through UPI. The building supervisor witnessed the payment, and the intermediary prepared an unsigned agreement mentioning the deposit. He has repeatedly promised to return the money but stopped answering calls. The owner refuses to take responsibility for the deposit. Should I approach the police, and how likely am I to recover my money?

Full story:

Around 25 July 2026, I booked a flat in Ekvira Residency, Marunji, through NoBroker. An intermediary showed me the flat, and I paid him ₹30,000 as a security deposit via UPI. I moved in the next day and paid him the first month's rent.

The building supervisor was present when I paid. He told me to pay the owner, but the intermediary insisted that I pay him directly.I didn't know as he was the one who contacted for the property and then the supervisor didn't insist he was okay then when I paid the intermediary. The supervisor witnessed the UPI payment, and I paid the intermediary.

When I asked for a rental agreement, the intermediary prepared an unsigned draft identifying himself as the licensor and mentioning ₹15,000 monthly rent and a ₹30,000 refundable deposit. I also paid him the next month's rent.

Around 1.5 months later, the intermediary stopped showing up. The owner and supervisor told me that I should have paid the owner directly and alleged that the intermediary had taken money from the owner too. The owner claims the intermediary took ₹3–4 lakh from him. The problem is that intermediary didn't disappear after taking money he was there for 1.5 months and the owner , supervisor didn't even tell me to ask him the security deposit and give us, now after he is gone to his by claiming his father is sick he isnt showing up and owner and supervisor not taking responsibility.

I spent around three weeks calling the intermediary. He repeatedly promised to return my deposit the next day but never paid. Eventually, I stopped calling after 3 weeks as I said owner i will leave flat and he was kind of upset but agreed to leave after 1 month notice period so I thought he will pay me when I leave. But finding proper flat was expensive and not worth it so I decided to stay.

I decided to continue staying in the flat and pay rent directly to the owner. I have now signed a new leave-and-licence agreement that mentions the ₹30,000 refundable deposit, but the owner refused to add a clause explicitly guaranteeing the return of the deposit I paid to the intermediary.

Evidence I have:

- UPI receipt for ₹30,000.

- The intermediary's unsigned agreement draft with his name, phone number and address in Aurangabad.

- The new agreement with the owner.

- The building supervisor who witnessed the payment.

- Call history and messages relating to repayment promises.

I need advice on the following:

  1. Should I file a police complaint in Pune even though the intermediary's address is in Aurangabad?

  2. Will the police take this seriously, or could they dismiss it as my mistake for paying the intermediary?

  3. How useful is the supervisor's testimony and the unsigned agreement as evidence?

  4. Should I send a legal notice first or approach the police directly?

  5. What is the most practical way to recover ₹30,000 without spending too much on legal fees?

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation in Pune or anywhere? I'd appreciate practical advice on the next steps and the likelihood of recovering my money.

Thanks!

Legal Advice Needed Married for 4 Months, Facing Verbal Conflicts — Need Legal Advice Regarding Separation in India

I got married around four months ago, but unfortunately, my marriage has been facing frequent verbal arguments and conflicts. The situation has become stressful for me and my family. My wife’s family members frequently call my family and speak to my parents disrespectfully. These repeated incidents are creating tension between both families. I have reached a point where I no longer wish to continue this marriage and want to separate. However, my wife and her family want the marriage to continue. My wife also earns more than I do.

I am a Government employee so I am also concerned about the potential impact of matrimonial litigation on my government job. I want to understand my legal rights and the possible consequences before taking any decision. I would appreciate advice from people familiar with Indian matrimonial law, preferably based on personal experience or legal knowledge.

My questions are:

  1. If I want to end the marriage but my wife does not agree, what are my legal options under Indian law? Can I file for divorce after only four months of marriage?

  2. If my wife and her family oppose separation, can they legally force me to continue living with my wife?

  3. Since my wife earns more than I do, could I still be required to pay maintenance or alimony? What factors would the court consider?

  4. What precautions should I take now to protect myself and my parents from possible false allegations or legal disputes? Should I consult a matrimonial lawyer before taking any action?

  5. As a Government employee, could an FIR under Section 498A IPC or the corresponding provision under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita affect my job, suspension status, promotions, or service record? Would the consequences differ if I were arrested or convicted?

I am looking for practical, lawful advice on how to handle this situation calmly and protect the interests of me and my family.

Legal Advice Needed I worked at a company for 3 months, resigned without serving my notice period, and received my experience and relieving letters. During my current company's background verification, could I be terminated for not serving the notice period? What can I do to avoid this?

Legal Advice Needed I need help with what I feel is an unjustified Termination by my Employer

I have been working as a Operations Associate in a startup from Bangalore and have relatively less work experience, and had under 1 year of experience, but this was my 3rd Company, so I wanted a stable job and career and I communicated this at the time of joining.

Everything was going fine and I was mostly working on recruitment side of things. So this Monday I slipped up to a co-worker about a new upcoming new joinee's salary, as he asked while I was reading his offer letter, which was a genuine lapse in focus and concentration on part which I accept and I thought its not going to be an issue. But little to my knowledge, there were many discussions and gossips going around in the office as its appraisal season and everyone were discussing salaries already for weeks. Mind you my company doesn't make us sign contractually or as has even formally/informally asked not to share salaries with coworkers. But somehow my manager got to know about this and he immediately terminated me the very next day. He feels this is a very grave mistake, and I cannot be trusted. But it was a genuine slip up and I have also put my point across. But my manager being around 24 years old, still doesn't get it. He would not listen to anything. From what I know the mess was already existing and was already created, much before I shared salary of a upcoming new joinee, with a coworker in office, there was no ill intention in it on my part.

Now the company also owes me my Joining Bonus of Rs 1Lakh, and they are also not giving me the notice period or notice pay of 2 months salary, as they say this is a Termination. I also have to collect a few reimbursements from the office which i would have otherwise gotten at the end of the month. Please help me out on how to atleast challenge this termination and get the money out from them. What can I do, please just help me out. I am attaching the offer letter, the only document which I signed with my organisation. Apart from this incident my work was impeccable and solid and my manager confirms that. At this point I am being labelled as a scapegoat for all the mess that was created in the organisation at a fundamental level of not having level pay, and at the very least not having a NDA around salary disclosure in the organisation.

Seeking advice and raising awareness regarding unpaid freelancing dues and non-payment by Performize agency (Founder: Arman Beg).

Performize publicly claims to manage ₹12+ Cr in ad spend. However, after I delivered 35 research-backed high-retention scripts, the founder blocked me on LinkedIn and WhatsApp right when payment was due.

Key Facts & Timeline:

Agreement (8th Sept): Agreed on ₹10,000/month for 35 scripts with the payment cycle promised on the 10th of every month. Advance request was denied citing "agency policy".

Complete Delivery: All 35 scripts were completed and delivered via Google Drive. Delivery was explicitly confirmed by the client in text chats.

Payment Date (10th Oct): The client confirmed payment would be processed on the day and asked for my LinkedIn ID.

Blocking & Ghosting: Immediately after receiving my LinkedIn ID, I was blocked on LinkedIn and subsequently blocked on WhatsApp with read receipts disabled.

Proof: Complete evidence folder containing 8 screenshots and Voice Note audio proofs is available. Since external links are restricted by anti-spam filters, please DM me if you need to view the proof folder link.

What legal or public recourse do I have to recover my hard-earned ₹20,000 from this agency?

Legal Advice Needed Sold out RBI, What to do next?

Today I learned how broken our grievance

system is. I filed a complaint with RBI Ombudsman against SBI for wrongly linking my mobile number to another

account. I submitted comments, evidence, even proof that SBI openly admitted they bypass RBI's own circular of 17 Jan 2025 requiring OTP verification.

Yet RBI closed my case saying "no

deficiency in service" and falsely recorded

that I never replied. They ignored my

submission, ignored the violation, and

declared me satisfied. RBI here is clearly shielding the bank.

Advice needed on what to do next? Can I appeal to the Ombudsman's decision or is there any superior body to complain to.

Legal Advice Needed What are set back rules for a smaller corner plot of area 1300 sqft?

Plot (26ft by 50ft) is situated on a 60ft road with 26ft facing towards it and 50ft side is on a 20ft road

What are the rules pf setbacks in Delhi? I see people never leave any setbacks while constructing their homes. Wouldn't that be a problem in future if the department wants to create trouble?

What things I should keep in mind before construction? What are set back rules for a smaller corner plot of area 1300 sqft?
