Hi everyone! The mod team has noticed an uptick recently in people posting photos of their faces or other identifying information.
This is a reminder that posting photos of your face is both unsafe as well as against the rules of the subreddit. Any posts with these photos will be removed.
Reddit is a website used by many people and you can never know who is looking at your photos.
In addition, please censor any identifying information in your posts. This includes names of teachers and your school when sharing schedules.
The subreddit is also not a place to connect with people from a specific high school. Naming your specific high school is also against Rule 5.
Thank you all for following the rules. Don't hesitate to reach out through ModMail if you have any questions.

in other news, we're trying to get the discord server up and running. join if you'd like! currently, the server is locked as we're revamping the channels and fixing some stuff, but there will be an announcement when its ready. at the end of this post will be the invite link. i'm planning on hosting some type of giveaway for real $ or something there, so tap in if you're interested.

My life revolves around scjool. It sucks. But what sucks even more is that no matter how hard i try i waste hours on one part of some type of problem (wheter its a math problem, a section of a lesson or a project) and it goes into a spiral of insanity where i tell myself "its okay" "i tried my best" i'll do better next time" "i wont let one grade relapse me" but then i end up crying for hours and rotting in bed while hiding my phone from myseld as punishment for being dumb. I feel like i will never be able to become a student that will be able to enter college because of my grades and my knowledge and how i overthink everything.
I have tried every method that you can think of to make me remember things but none of them.work. i am so stupid that i even have lack of knowledge outside of school (wich i wont talk about). I just wonder why cant i be a smart person. Why does my brain hurt and turn off when i have to study. I dont know what to say anymore.

We all have that one assignment we put off until the last possible minute and somehow still finished.
What was yours? And how close to the deadline did you actually submit it?
Bonus: what was your “it’s fine, I work better under pressure” moment that definitely was not fine?

I'm in 11th grade and we just switched this year to edmentum and I might have to retake physics and spanish class since my on target grades are an F but current grades are an A and B. I just found out today that the on target grade will be on my report card for the semester and I've been stressing out about telling my parents about it cause even though I'm doing good the on target grades might mess me up but I'm not too sure if I'll even have to take the credit recovery until my physics teacher responds, however, my other teacher said I'll have to repeat the semester if I get below a 60% but I'm not sure which grade they were talking about. Am I cooked for nursing school?

Hi. I’m a 10th grader wrestler and I have to get my grades up before October 29th. I’ve been struggling a lot with my mental health and attendance and in order to wrestle this season I need at least a 2.0 gpa. I want to seek advice as I’m really stressed out and I’m not sure what to do.
In chemistry I have 15 missing assignments, History a missing test, geometry like 7 missing items, and ELA and a response that needs “50 minutes” apparently and is only able to be done after school. I’m not sure what to do anymore, I was just hoping to seek some advice if theres a certain order of how I should do these assignments or things I should tell my teachers. Please help me, my brain is all over the place.

dude ok they have me in this GATED special edprogram at school which is a huge reason i stopped attending because FUCK THAT. its bad. its a very small area with only 2 class rooms and a counlers office and there's a gate surrounding it with a TARP or rag or wave over the gate. And during lunch you have to ask to use the bathroom and then a staff walks u to a gender neutral bathroom. One tome during MY lunch i asked and they made me wait. Admit thats cruel. ik I dont need this. But at my iep meeting they really want me there. Bc i didn't turn in assignments i finished because the teacher didnt tells us to. The fuck. They spoke about me like I was incapable of handling myself but I can. Ive been to Gen Ed before and its very simple but they speak about it likes its so overwhelming or whatever. These people are dumb. Im fucking 17 almost 18 and I dont even care about graduating or wtv cuz i got all Fs anyways. I kinda just want a high-school experience cuz I feel like I never rlly got one. Freshman year was good, sophomore year was miserable bc my friends sucked and I didnt go at all junior year. Now I really wanna have a decent senior year.
Im not going back to that program but I need an escape from this. The only thing I can think of is asking my parents to get rid of my iep cuz I dont need it anyways. Im just autistic and ive had atraight As in 8th grade. Im.not allowed to move schools either. But other than t hat method idk how to get out of this dumbass program. The days i did show up i came home in a bad mood bc i felt so degraded being there :<

I'm looking to found one in my school and I'm just wondering what you guys did in yours, to get some inspiration. I tried last year and my school said our ideas were too similar to just the history class. My current goal statement is, "To explore history without the bounds of curriculum in a student-led environment and establish a community of students interested in history to share ideas.
I'm thinking of letting students do short fun presentations each meeting, and have discussions on certain topics, but I'm honestly at a bit of a loss. I really don't know what good activities would be. I would be president for the first year so I can shape how it goes.
I need to be really specific otherwise they'll tell me to try again next year. I'm thinking 30 minutes weekly, but that could be changed.
Thanks!

For context, senior year my classes will be ap lit, ap gov, ap stats, ap physics, and DE multi variable calc and linear algebra. This is 5 classes but my school has a mandatory block where everyone cannot take a class and it’s called advisory where teachers give u advice and stuff. So i’ll have 2 extra free periods. Is this ok? If not, what classes should i take instead? (MIS major btw)

Freshman year i took alg 1 pt 1. They js moved me up and i wish i had an example of the work we r doing rn cuz we r just going over what we did last year rn but it’s literally (7-5)y when y = 2. And the ppl in my class are so stupid and consider me smart because i can do it in my head? We took a placement test at the end of 8th grade and i did rlly poorly on math but i never reallt learned any of the stuff on the test. I think i should of been in alg 1 last year and alg 2 this year. And now my school is omitting the course… SO I TOOK IT ALL FOR NOTHING! I also got a frickin award in math last year for knowing 1+1 😔
Part of me is like this is fine math is a big part of my gpa so doing good will bring it up. And last year i got all A’s. But another part is like im gonna have to take so much math in college but i dont know what level they require you to be at. And my teacher said to us we’ll prolly take geometry next year and then freaking alg 2 senior year! We dont even have to take math senior year but now i kinda feel forced too because i wont even know all the algebra concepts when i go into college. Fuck ill only know that 1+1 =2

It was his own fucking son. I still can't believe it. People at school are just acting like it's some story to go around telling. He was an incredible teacher who lost his life way too goddamn soon and people are using the story of his death as an entertaining lunch time conversation. What the hell is wrong with people.

It’s not edited yet and I just started the project, but I wanted to share some starting animations and basic movements! The circle is Timmy. He’s the nucleus of a cell and he’s gonna teach everyone about cells and such. This is also due in 6 days and I don’t know how I’m gonna animate this fast, but if I lock in and stay up late a few days, it should work out :)

So my high school uses myBlueprint and currently pretty much all my courses are university with the exception of 4 which are either university/college or just college. But if I look at pathway eligibility, college has a higher number (2038) while university is smaller (636). Just wondering if anyone can tell me what the pathway eligibility thing means.

I transferred high schools because my original one is a great school but i hated the environment there. So now I’m in a high school thats not the worst, but it seems like im going to become stupid or something. I was already told how its different than a regular high school, but I had no idea these classes would teach me absolutely nothing. Every single class, its all no tests, just listen to teacher, and any work we get are things I would get in Middle School. I don’t feel challenged or hope I’ll learn anything, theres no way to ask for advanced either because most are made for your grade level and are in the same case, I won’t learn anything. I’ worried fir the future, I’ll lack things.
I feel so lost, I don’t even know if I can transfer again or back to my old one. Or just what to do.
My last option is online but even that I know I’ll eventually get tired of.
This high school I wanted to go to doesnt accept transfers so I just chose that high school to transfer to.
