Watching the James Talarico Town Hall on CNN, and they mentioned it is in Fort Worth. Anyone know where?

"The enemy is coming to steal what you and God did" (Who is the "enemy?" Are they in the room? Do they currently have legislative power in Tarrant County?)

what can we do to protect r/FW?
yesterday “someone” posted a link to a fox news article on how flock stopped a kidnapping. i’m not illiterate and i can clearly see that someone is trying to sell r/FortWorth on a narrative. i think the mods need to do a better job in protecting us from clearly advertised content like that. and honesty they need to address the 50 million posts about ken pax being a piece a shit, like yes we all know he’s unfaithful can we please move on and talk about the good things in Fort Worth?
like maybe because politics are around the corner have a week or days when political posts are allowed and after that we can shut up and do other things. it’s good to inform each other every day on candidates that are looking out for us (looking at you Nydia Cardenas, Taylor Rehmet and Yisak Worku!!!!!) among others
if you care this much to spam post politics go out and volunteer. they need all the help we can get, they have teams of people working to get this done. i went to a Yisak potluck and they had an 18 year old, an 18 year old they were praising for staging a school walkout against ice. there are people who want to help and theyre doing the work. stop flooding this place

Poll: 38% of Texas voters casting their ballot as a vote AGAINST Trump
I'm personally voting against MAGA, Abbott/Paxton/O'Hare/etc, their beliefs don't line up with mine. They preach about personal rights, but then take away the rights of people not like them... Ie my wife (woman) and trans kids.

It's always about him, and always someone else's fault.“If Ken Paxton loses, it will be because of WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Political Hacks like John Cornyn and Karl Rove, who have ineffectively opposed me for my entire political career,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

New grad in DFW
Is it only me or there’s no jobs in the area for accounting/finance specialists? Been applying days and nights, tailoring resume every possible way but in best case scenario I get a denial. I desperately need my hours to qualify for CPA and this is what I face. Does anyone have recommendations/advices on where I can get help with this? My uni is in different state and their career services only help with the resume and only if I have experience (lol).

"Telescope ranches" in Texas. People pay to store $10K+ telescope rigs in the middle of nowhere to escape light pollution. The warehouse roofs roll off each night, and owners remote in from anywhere in the world

Rogan saying this right now (odd timing) would imply he might have 'Rico on around Oct. 27, endorse him, and that's the "October surprise"

Full-time Disney adult and 2am poster Donald J. Trump, who has at least three times held the Bible upside down for a photo opp, says James Talarico is a "bad man, con man" who has "said some bad things about Jesus"

Another example (many now) of how this sub runs about 2-3 years ahead of S-T on any relevant issue is that they posted this article this afternoon (this sub I think was on Mercy's impact in, I dunno, 2023?)

Jeeze! Paxton being elected AG was like making a fox the supervisor for a chicken coop!
Paxton’s corruption is astounding! If it wasn’t immoral, illegal and detrimental to Texas residents, it would almost be impressive…

Manny Ramirez, who votes almost 100% in step with Tim O'Hare on the big issues, had his Mom arrested by ICE. Maga Ramirez has been open about his support of expanding ICE, flock and data centers in our community. "IF HE DON'T CARE ABOUT HIS MAMA, HE SURE DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU!" Vote for Nydia Oct 19!

Talarico tries to tackle the "God is non-binary" thing (attack ads!) and almost seamlessly weaves Charlie Kirk saying "God is above gender" in here

The woman who asked Talarico about abortion last night at the Fort Worth town hall -- and they disagreed -- says here she still might vote for him because "he's centrist, and everyone seems extreme"

Culture wars are the greatest distraction of our age -- and yet, ya know what? In little old Fort Worth, America's 10th-largest city now, I hear this Miller quote parroted back by guys all the time. Your kids may not have jobs. You want to discuss gender?
One party has ruled over Tarrant (and now one church as well) for about three decades -- the church has about five years of running the show here from the sidelines.
If you think your life is great/better, keep 'em in.
If not, take 'em out.
It will be rough the other way, yes. Politics doesn't "save" people.
But let's see something different at least.
Early voting starts Monday. Locations are pinned in this sub.
