I have an original Christmas single that is fully written, arranged and tracked, and I am stuck on the last mile. Looking to pay someone who actually knows holiday and pop records.

Where it stands

Lyrics finalised with choir and lead parts assigned section by section. Live musicians tracked in a professional studio. Lead vocal recorded. Two mixes delivered. Multitracks and stems being collected now.

Roughly 82 BPM with a double time feel, B flat major, about 3:40. The arrangement is call and response: a young lead vocalist carries designated lines and an ensemble answers around them. There is a percussive “ba-rum-bum” hook, group choruses, a bridge and a final chorus that should be the biggest moment on the record.

This is paid work with a real budget. There is a child on the lead vocal, so I care a lot about someone who will keep a young voice sounding like itself rather than smoothing it into a studio-pop sound. Experience with young singers is a plus, not a requirement.

I am 16. I am looking to join a band or find band members. I am somewhat new to singing, about 8 months or so. My range is A2-G5 but I am still learning to consistently switch registers. I am looking for a post-hardcore/metalcore band. My favorite band is coldrain. Coldrain is a big influence.

Guitarist/songwriter in McKinney looking for people to collaborate on original material. Mainly looking for 2nd guitar, bass, drums and vocals, but I’m also open to joining an established project that needs another guitarist.

Influences include Karnivool, Good Tiger, Time the Valuator, Circa Survive, Saosin, Dayseeker, From Indian Lakes, Anberlin, ERRA and Invent Animate. So somewhere between atmospheric/melodic post-hardcore, prog and heavier modern stuff. Different tunings, clean and heavy sections, not trying to stay in one tiny genre box.

I’m 40, so people roughly 30s–40s would probably be the easiest fit socially, but I care more about the music than an exact age.

I play guitar in a few bands around town, mostly rnb, soul, pop. I’ve found most shows don’t have enough funk songs in the mix, so:

I’m looking to form a band that covers modern funk bands like vulfpeck, parcels, galactic, pretty lights, etc. with primary focus on dance music. Maybe some detours into electronic funk bands too like flamingosis, pretty lights etc.

Once we perfect a few covers, the hope is to jam on top, and maybe add a vocalist when the time is right.

Age don’t matter, just have the skills to hold down a tight groove. Practice will be in DFW.
