Question Is there any "pure" terrain map mode or mod?
I remember playing Imperator and hating how the country colors obscured the beauty of the terrain when zoomed out
Then I found a mod called "Pure terrain" that removed the country colors even zoomed out
Is there any mod like that for EU5?
Despite the map being less beautiful than Imperator, I still want to be able to appreciate the terrain when zoomed out as far as possible

Question Arte della lana bug fixed in 1.4?
The Florentine-specific "Arte della lana" burgher privilege is granted at the start of the game.
Some time after the start it's cleared from the list of granted privileges β without a notification, without a triggering event visible to the player.
You can reassign the privilege, but it will silently vanish yet again.
Was this bug fixed in 1.4? I see they havent added a bugfix list yet

Discussion About the mamluks
Does anyone have a way to disable the Egyptian plague, the mamluks are my favourite nation to play and the disaster just makes it a not fun experience at all, I hate that I can't take any action against it, it would have been much better if it was just one giga wave that decimated your population instead of just constantly pummeling you, at least add some actions or a unique building like sewers to combat it a little.

Image π€π€π€π€π€π€π€ π€π€π€π€
Inspired by the recent post and decided to try out Ibadi Tlemcen -> Morocco -> Carthage in 200 yrs. The start is pretty strong with lots of hidden buffs throughout the campaign. If min-maxed appropriately I believe north africa including mamluks can be united by 1400.
The egypt tag would be a excellent tier III formable in between but does not seem to give the mamluk advances. Anybody knows if that changes if the mamluks are gone? Do you become the MAM tag if the mamluks are gone when you switch to Egypt?

Question Is the british enclosure act good?
Allowing the enclosure act, give increased urban migration and attraction from rural locations. Does that mean that, as the rural locations empty, they would get more pop growth from free land? Is urban attraction ideal for getting lots of pops in the cities?

Image How do I fix constant negative manpower?
I'm stuck on -200 manpower. I have no idea how to replenish my professional troops. I've tried increasing maintenance and trying to find a building which could help. I tried googling it to no avail. I only have 2 professional units. They were fully stocked just fine for decades, I lost some in a war, and now a few decades later they still don't want to reinforce.

Please help

Beta The HRE Can Be Formed Very Early(As Austria)
This wasn't a very fast rush by me, with lots of inefficiencies and if you pushed it I bet you could do it around 50 years sooner.

Question Best way to improve control as Naples?
What's the approach to propagating proximity as Naples? I'm a new player and I'm thinking using naval for maritime patrol because the land is so hilly and mountainous but also most of the ports to reenter have very poor harbour capacity so I'm not sure. What do people generally do? I want to play tall as Naples so won't do much expanding besides Sicily and maybe papal states so I can untie all the lands in my market. Where do tall Naples players put their local governers?

Discussion I bought a monitor just to play paradox games
I'm loving this game, and it worth the money, but I was going blind trying to read everything
My current monitor is a 21,5 inch VA monitor, and it's not even full HD, I'm not the kind of guy who spends much money on keyboards, monitors, or things like that, but I decided to buy one, and I hope it'll last for decades
I bought a 27-inch 2.5K IPS monitor, will I notice a big difference? And will I finally be able to read those damn texts?

Question EU4 to EU5
Hello all. I have lurked here for many months to see whatβs up with this game. Iβve played EU4 since high school so little under 10 years.
I am very comfortable with EU4 yet Iβve wanted to try EU5 out for a while. Is this game worth the price? Is EU5 better than 4? Is there a healthy mod community? I understand these are different games but how different is really what Iβm interested in.
A while ago I saw a post on here saying the game was fun but not fully developed or thought out yet. This prevented me from buying the game at the time. So I want to hear peopleβs thoughts before I purchase this and dive into for the next 10 years.

Video Two Centuries That Made Spain: The History Behind EU5's Across the Pillars
Hello everyone! Today we've published a slightly late, Tinto Talk 128, you can find that here:
But beyond that, we also wanted to present you with something new for Europa Universalis V that weβve been working on. A new video Two Centuries That Made Spain: The History Behind EU5's Across the Pillars.
This is a project in which we collaborated with our very own lead Content Designer's Alma Mater, the University of Valladolid, to bring closer to the players the real History behind Across the Pillars, and how we have been working to represent it in the DLC. We hope that you enjoy it! Let us know below if you'd like to see more historical content like this in the future.
