Used-and-Abused Olight Warranty Experience: Good!
I EDC my Arkfield pro for housing & code compliance inspections. It had quite a bit of wear from riding in my pocket next to a knife, so it looked worn, but not beat. Worked flawlessly until my 5yo stuck the magnet to a metal cabinet and flicked it to make it "wiggle". Then decided to stress test it, and smacked it has hard as he could down onto a hard floor. After that, it would only work in laser or UV mode, the switch was messed up and the light didn't work.
I contacted Olight and explained the switch issue; they sent a postage paid return authorization in under 24hrs. Then I procrastinated sending it back for ~2mos (so many closed and reduced hours post offices here).
They received it September 23rd. For two weeks it was listed as "Pending Merchant Review"
*If your returned products meet our maintenance standards, we will process your application soon after receiving it. Please wait patiently*
Reached out on the Olight live chat with my return number to ask how much longer I should expect. The live agent put me on "hold", and came back saying they pushed it through. Gave me a new order number and I had it in my mailbox less than a week later.
Overall really happy with the process. One note: I couldn't see the return in "after sales" on their website, had to manually enter it into the portal every time. Maybe cause I bought on Amazon originally?

Rotation EDC with options
So this is the stuff I carry on a daily basis. I decide what pair of headphones fit my day best. I never take all of them with me but sometimes two of the three. I carry a knife about 50% of the time but never more than one.
wallet: aunts&uncles (small German business)
phone: Sony Xperia 5V
keys: car keys in a cheap protective cover; house key; niteize Microlink for less clutter
watch: Garmin Instinct 3 solar; bandletic band
glasses: Oakley Port Bow
pen: LAMY Safari with a self-made endcap since the rubber one fell off
headphone options:
- skullcandy crusher anc 2 (absolutely sick bass no other headphone can do this IMHO with EQ a 9/10 for me)
- FiiO BTR 13 bluetooth dac amp with cheap 7HZ G1s ( even better sound quality; lighter; more isolation against surrounding noise; but less deep bass 8/10 for me)
- shokz OpenRun Pro 2 (even lighter; ears don't sweat; nice for long calls; great awareness of your surroundings; Great for sport; not that loud; mediocre sound quality; very low bass 7/10)
knife options:
- Böker Kwaiken stonewashed G10 (old model; flipper cut off for legal reasons)
- Brisa Bobtail with plastic sheath and ulticlip
flashlight: I have a nitcore EDC35 but it's not part of my edc because my phone and my watch have integrated led lights which feel sufficient for the day. At night that's a different story.
Have a nice day

Question/Advice/Discussion What do you use knipex micro pliers for?
I’ve considered carry the knipex micro pliers that seem to be really trendy right now, but find myself questioning what they’d actually be useful for? I have a set of 7” knipex I tried using on a brass compressor hose fitting yesterday and they slipped way earlier than I thought they would when attempting to tighten the fitting on. Had to go get a second open ended wrench to snug it on.
Has me wondering what the 4” version would be good for?

Literal EDC Diy key-fob clip
In before r/DiWHY I don't like key fobs. I just don't lol, I miss carrying a regular key. They annoy me bouncing around on a carbineer/clip, they feel bulky and uncomfortable in my pocket (not diagnosed, but yeah, probably). And I don't like just throwing it loose into my purse. I wanted a way that was easy to clip to an inside pocket, and grab out if want to leave the bag at home or in the car. And it keeps it flat in a pants pocket, so it don't feel it there.
So I took the clip off a cheap tape measure. I didn't want to use a pop-rivet because I thought it would put too much stress on the plastic, my original plan was to use a small sex-bolt, but the only one I could find was aluminum, and by the time I cut it short enough there wasn't enough thread left and it stripped. Will probably use epoxy to build a kind of ramp under the clip because the rivet and back of the clip tends to snag, if I did it again I would put a little bend there so it angles down towards the plastic.
