Hello all. I currently have never called out and have zero points but am applying for a premium extension and I am in the interview phase and thinking of calling out of work one day. Would calling out once before they make the decision affect my chances? Do they check points that closely or just make sure you don’t exceed their point requirements. Thanks!

I had to lock and unlock seatbelts because of an issue multiple times. I don't know if this counts as a safety critical mistake or not. No one talked to me about it and I was still in rotation. I did call my control base and they told me to just keep trying which did work. I'm really not sure if I should expect to be called into a meeting/termed or what that would even look like.

I have it and then on the same day under it, is just a regular shift. is it just some updates in training?

Anyone else get a random call from a recruiter asking if they had any questions a week after being accepted? Pretty much she asked what my top roles were again and congratulated me, and recommended attending the zoom webinar things.

currently at the store and i am dying to do this color!! wondering if this is disney okay? its just a shade of brown but can never be too safe here...

hi! so my move in day is January 25th. when will i find out my schedule? i have people wanting to come visit but i dont want to schedule anything until i know which days i have off. do we learn this ahead of time or not until we get down there?

Hi all! I just had my DCP interview on Tuesday, I’ve read a lot about getting an email back on Thursday and I’m soooo nervous! I was wondering what time of day you all got your email back? TIA!!!

I submitted the housing accommodations form when I was first accepted over a month ago, however I never heard anything back. Is this standard?
I know that medical accommodations on housing isn’t guaranteed but it makes it difficult when I really don’t want to search outside of Flamingo, but sharing a room is something that just isn’t feasible and more or less wouldn’t be fair to my direct roommate!

I wasn’t sure if there is something else I should do besides the generic form, like an email I should reach out to?

Thanks in advance!

Hi all!!

Wondering what kind of hours/shifts people get working concierge?
I was lucky on my first program and was a lifeguard so working 40 hours was never really a problem. This time around I REALLY want concierge and we chatted a ton about it during my interview so I’m praying that’s what I get.
Just wondering what do the shift times usually look like? Do you typically get scheduled close to 40 hours? If not is it easy to pick up extra hours?

Thank you!!!!!

i went to the Endless Possibilities showcase earlier today where my blue id was scanned, but was only there for a short while before i got a crippling migraine. i waited up until the last minute before deciding i needed to call out, but realized that my id was scanned this morning for the showcase after the fact. i’m literally terrified that i’ll get termed now. i just reached out to my leader explaining what happened, but i have no idea if this is an automatic process or what. since it was scanned before i called out does that make a difference? it wasn’t the parks, it was an event ended well before i made my call out, but i realize that it might just be an automatic system. am i totally screwed?

I have an appointment with my doctor and cardiologist coming up and I want to get all my paperwork together to apply for accommodations since it will likely be the only time I can get in with either of them before my program starts (Nevada healthcare tends to book out 3+ months) I found the paperwork to go over with them for work accommodations but I haven’t found anything for what I need to gather for housing accommodations- what paperwork/letters would be best to request from them?

Seeing how much my paychecks really are every week is very un motivating. They take out so much for rent and i really don’t understand why it’s so much. If you’re living in a 2x2, if you put everyone’s rent together we’re collectively paying around 4,500 a month for a very ok apartment with not much personal space. I feel like I’m kind of being taken advantage of by the company for cheap labor I was wondering if anyone else feels this way.

Hey there, I have been accepted to tech behind the dreams and I just wanted to ask how this tour is? What do we gain from it basically because i can't seem to find anyone talk about

I worked at Soarin’ and one day while I was in Tower, a guest who had been terrified to ride somehow got out of her seat mid-flight. I immediately hit the E-stop, and security and management got involved. We even had to go through retraining afterward! It was very chaotic but funny in retrospect 16 years later, I still wonder if that story gets passed around during training

Does anyone know if theirs an official acceptance rate or is it just hope you get in?

I just got the email and it’s for tomorrow or Wednesday so I’m curious on if it’s required. It doesn’t say anything that it is or isn’t.

i’m hoping to do my dcp next fall and am wondering how competitive it is to get in. should i be worried about lacking extracurriculars or job experience? i’ve only had one job for a couple months.

Hello everyone! On September 15th I interviewed for an internship position with WDI! It has been almost a month since I have interviewed and I was wondering if anyone who had an interview around that date has heard back yet. I’ve gotten two of the quick update emails basically saying they are still in the process of deciding next steps. I’ve heard it can usually take a while to hear back but I was just curious if others are still waiting

Hi do people ever get a phone call from the Disney Background Check Services because I just got one and said to call back a certain number but when i called back it said to leave my name, number, and full social security and they would call back. That last part scared me a bit so I hung up. I’m not sure if it’s real or scam since everything so far has been through email but I did recently send a statement of disposition for a car accident I was in three years ago. I also went into my Accurate account and it says my background check is “Completed”. My gut is telling me not to reply but I’m also anxious that not getting back to them could cost me my spot. Anyone have experience with this??

If you were termed, put on restricted rehire and then rehired after 6 months, were you able to go back to your previous role/area? Or did you get rehired in a different role?

Hello! I was recently accepted for a professional internship starting in January, and I was wondering what other apartments have been as an alternative for Flamingo Crossing, as I have a pet who cannot be taken by a relative for the duration of my internship. Preferably something one bedroom, pet friendly, and under $1600.

I’ve done some research on my end (Zillow, fb groups) but I’m not sure on the best locations to search, for example, I’ve noticed Kissimmee is the cheapest, but I’ve seen some bad reviews about the apartment complex’s. Thanks in advance!

Can you get a rejection email whenever or will that also be on a Thursday?
