Concierge
Hi all!!
Wondering what kind of hours/shifts people get working concierge?
I was lucky on my first program and was a lifeguard so working 40 hours was never really a problem. This time around I REALLY want concierge and we chatted a ton about it during my interview so I’m praying that’s what I get.
Just wondering what do the shift times usually look like? Do you typically get scheduled close to 40 hours? If not is it easy to pick up extra hours?
Thank you!!!!!

I know a guy who just termed at a resort concierge because they were scheduling home for 50-60 hours a week…. He was on his second program. He said he had guests throw drinks at him, swear at him, Bridezillas belittle him and leads do nothing.

for context i worked at the grand floridian. you basically will always work the later shifts. the front desk is open 24/7, but CPs don’t work third shift! the latest we’d be scheduled is is the dreaded 430 - 200 AM shift. six hour shifts were common, especially for CPs. we had some weeks where everyone got 40 hours, but also some weeks where everyone got 30 hours! i got a lot of 2-1030 PM shifts. overtime wasn’t very common. it’s easy to pick up extra hours if you’re open to working at all the resorts though!
