Review (Weeks later) Digger still has me in awe.

To put it very very simply, Digger is a “weird” movie, it is absolutely not for everyone. That being said Inarritu & Tom Cruise made something special for cinema, it’s just so unique & separate from other films. It’s like a willy-wonka esque fever dream about billionaires & political tyrants in the modern age.

And as much as people don’t like Tom Cruise for science reasons, he’s the reason why DIGGER works so well.

All I'm saying is, I'm glad this movie exists. It's strange, ambitious, and completely its own thing. That's the kind of art I can appreciate.

Review Another Digger Review

Go see it.

Honestly, just freaking go see it.

Hate it or love it, we NEED more movies like this and less Brad Pitt with dog.

Im seeing it again this weekend, and will probably buy 2 tickets for myself just as a F you to every Critic who panned this film.

The more I think about it, remember the details and humor...the cleverness of the narrative format. It all just works so SO well. Every criticism ive seen of the film is completely nulled by...the actual story of the film.

And, um, yea, Mr. Cruise, wow, yea...just go see it, before its gone...

Question Is there a such thing as selling out in the movie industry?

We all know the stories of musicians selling out, such as Maroon 5. They have went from being a pop rock act to just a pop act (I like some of there songs still, but off topic). But is there a such thing as that in the movie industry? Where a movie comes out, and it is good, but later sequels come out and slowly start to lose the identity that the original had. If so, what are some examples of this?

Discussion Unpopular opinion: The Godfather Part III is better than the first two in some ways

I know a lot of people don't like The Godfather Part III, I am ready for downvoted. But I must say, I really like the finale.

I think it's a really different movie compared to the first two, there was still mafia intrigue and fighting and revenge in the movie, but it's much less about these things. It's a movie about Michael himself, a movie about even he may be the most powerful man in the underworld, he is still a human. He is desperate for love, he wants family, he is lonely, but he had to push everyone away for "family".

I think I like the movies about how heroes(in this case, villains) are still humans. For example, my favorite Bond movies are "Casino Royale" and "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", in which Bond is a "human".

And that's why I love The Godfather Part III. It showed how vulnerable and lonely Michael is, it showed how he regrets for the decisions. And in spite of all the effort he tried to make it up with his childs and Kay, he is destined to be lonely. I love the original version of the ending, the camera zoomed out, the chair fell, and nobody was there for him(And that's also the reason why I don't like the new version as much because it ruined the trilogy that has the same opening and ending). Words fail me.

And this is the part that I think is better than the first two. I know Michael showed his feelings in the first two movies sometimes, but it rarely happened. He had to be ruthless and brutal and emotionless for his "family". But he didn't want to, he never wanted to. He had to hide his feelings for everything, including love. It feels like he's a robot dead inside in the first two movies, but in Part III, he finally became a human.

The best part is when he made his confession to the Pope, he cried, he was helpless, he regretted everything, he regretted being Don Corleone. He may be a ruthless Godfather, but deep in his heart, all he wants is love.

Question Who's and actor or actress where you see them cast in a movie you go. "Well I already know who the villain is."?

Mine is Jason Isaacs. He actually stumped me once. I thought for sure in the movie the Tuxedo with Jackie Chan and Jennifer Love Hewitt the ending would have this reveal where he was actually the bad guy and I was gonna be like "Yeah I already seen it coming." But he actually wasn't the bad guy and played an actually nice character. That was the biggest shock to me.

Question What is up with Digger?

I no longer have the appetite for Tom Cruise works, so I ignored Digger.

Can someone explain, no spoilers needed, why it is blowing up?

Is it Battlefield Earth bad? Is it actually good and suffering from proximity to Cruise?

At this point, I’m dying to know.

Discussion I remember seeing Ice Castles at the movie theater in 1978 days before Christmas. It’s such a classic, sentimental "feel-good" tearjerker and romantic sports movie. Plus Melissa Manchester’s song "Through the Eyes of Love," is simply beautiful… Anyone else liked this movie?

In this movie Robert is CIA analyst Turner who's whole section gets murdered and now he is on the run. The plot off this is kinda similar to North by Northwest by this movie is good on there own . I like how Turner in the begging suposted to be guy who worked in the office his whole life and than he very quckly he turns into James Bond type.

I know Longlegs eventually went into the paranormal, but I really liked the first part, where the detective was investigating the case and analyzing the only clue: the girls were dying on their ninth birthdays. Can you recommend more movies like that? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

This movie needs more recognition, one of the few Netflix movies that's actually good. Jamie Foxx as a pimp is hilarious. It's kind of like a black Cabin In the Woods movie

Question Trying to find a gift for a new friend who loves Jim Jarmusch

I'm looking for a gift idea for a friend who really likes Jim Jarmusch's films. We haven't known each other for very long, but I remember her mentioning that he's a director she really likes.

Can you think of any gift ideas, or maybe get a sense of the kind of things she might be into based on that? I know it's pretty vague, sorry!
