Advice Needed Silver tip tetra
Recently invested in this 4ft aqua one tank
Stocking consisting of
X6 black phantom tetra
X1 rummynose
X5 black neon
X1 glow light
X12 cardinal
X12 silver tip tetra
Kribensis pair plus additional femal
The silver tips are the newest addition I had seen mixed opinions on mixing them with slower fish such as cardinals they have been in about a week they are obviously frantic swimmers and can be pretty pushy and starting to think maybe I have made a mistake the cardinals stay as a group most the time and are usually in and around plants/cover the silver tips tend to be scattered everywhere not really in a tight school I did witness some chasing from a silver tip on a cardinal this morning very briefly idk weather to stick it out or step in now… thoughts ?

Plants I've added some monte carlo to my aquarium floors (I have two but this one's much easier to photograph) and I'm kind of unsure if I've planted it right.
Im aware I need to get a longer and better light as this one is only about a 3W and isn't reaching all of the floor but I'm just not sure if I've planted the monte carlo right. It's been a few hours and it hasn't come out of my fluval but Google was saying to push it in so that only a few leaves are showing or it will pop right out- but I don't know how much I trust Google lmao. Also I got some blue stricta at the back that's too tall for the tank which makes it lean a tiny bit, is that going to be okay? It's nothing crazy and to be fair my betta likes it because it's more of a canopy, but I don't know if it will stop it growing if it's not completely vertical.

Identification Request Is this an amano or did I get scammed?
I got sold 2 of these "amano" shrimp but I can't tell if it's an amano or not... it's about the same size as a small cherry shrimp. I think it might be a wild type cherry shrimp that they sent to me instead a small amano.

Advice Needed Tap water emergency
Over the last two days my tap water has turned this yellow/ orange color (we are on a well so it is not related to a larger municipal water supply). I’m not sure what the issue is but I don’t want to risk doing water changes and hurting my fish. One of my tanks had lots of water evaporate and now needs filled again to make sure the filter has enough water to function. I was able to get some spring water just to top off the tank but I haven’t put it in yet. Will this be an okay solution until we get the tap water sorted?

Advice Needed Can I keep freshwater rays?
I currently have a 500 gal pond (upgrading to a 1500 in a few months) and have 2 large trash can filters, during the winters it gets down to the low 50s high 40s but I have a proper heating setup for the pond and have 10x 1000 watt heaters if the heater fails, (I have a app that lets me know if my water heater gets too low) my water quality is really strong and consistent and I do smaller water changes and have plants, but I do already have a few fish, I have a large 19 inch pacu, 11 inch Oscar, and a 12 inch shovelnose/redtail hybrid, would I be able to keep a ray? Or should I look for other fish

Advice Needed Wife knocked over my 10 gallon tank
VERY lucky that it landed on a couch and doesn't appear to be damaged, but I did notice some water along the bottom edge in the plastic cover. I dried it best I could but it's still there. Is there a way to tell if it's leaking from there?
Also the filter broke apart and she left the medium in the tank until I got back and took it out, about two hours. The water was brown. So far one fish and two shrimp are missing. We didn't see any on the couch or floor so hopefully they're just hiding.
Is there anything I should watch out for or do to help? I did a half water change but it's the middle of the night and the light fixture is broken so I can't see anything until tomorrow when it's daylight.

Medical Help What is this on my male guppy’s tail?
I noticed he has been losing weight over the past few weeks. His best friend died and so I got him some new friends to interact with, but his health seems to be declining. I noticed these spots on his tail. They do not look like ick. (Yellow guppy at the top)
If he needs medicine, can you let me know which kind and I will order some. Thank you. I do have otocinclus in the tank and a few guppies. That’s it

Beginner Help Halfbeaks attacking each other
Hi,
I got these freshwater halfbeaks a few weeks ago and they were doing great but recently one of them has become dominant and will go over to the other and push them. Usually around feeding time but sometimes even just when they see the other.
I only have two and 1 ember tetra(the rest unfortunately passed from disease and I’m just waiting for stability before I get some more to form a school, and also waiting for better compatible medication to arrive), shrimp and snails so there’s not much other competition for food.
It also doesn’t look like the smaller halfbeak is getting injured from this, just hiding away and sometimes moving away from the top of the water column. And often moving away from food too. I do have another tank that will be finished cycling next week but it’s not in any shape for a halfbeak(I don’t think it’s big enough length wise).
I have also tried floating plants but not much success, they all die. I do have plenty of plants including a monstera that is growing out of the tank just not many up top. Should I try something like guppy grass that can float at the top but won’t be affected by my filter or bubbler to split up the view?
What would you do and what are my options?

Medical Help Petrova update
Just a small update as I don't have much right now.
I found a paper with instructions for salt measurements for intense treatment from when I took my last betta to the vet. So currently Petrova is in a 3 gallon hospital tank but with only a gallon of water and he has aquarium salt, methylene blue (recommended amount for long term hospitalizations), and I have tannins depositing but I don't have much that will deposit however I ordered more almond leafs and a thermometer that will be here at 8am tomorrow morning (I forgot my last one broke :') ). He's also got a heater and a clean sponge filter in the tank because I am out of air stones too but the tank needs to be oxygenated since methylene blue eats up oxygen and I don't want him to have to fight for anything.
As for his behavior he's pretty still- he's sitting on a leaf at the surface which is exactly what I want him to do. He has swam a bit and seems to be handling that well though I can tell the loss of his fin makes turning a bit more difficult
My hope is that he recovers. I have had absolutely no issues with classic betta genetics like I have with many Bettas before and he's only ever had a small fungal infection which he healed from quickly. He's a resilient little guy. But I'm hoping the lack of issues I have had this far will mean he recovers
Best case scenario is the hole where his fin was fills up and the fin dies and falls off so there isn't large risk of infection. If I need to get him to a vet I can and will find a way but for now it's going to be a sit and watch game because moving him around too much will stress him more and I absolutely refuse to do that to him. Hopefully he pulls through the night and I can get a better grasp of how we'll be looking tomorrow and how recovery may go.
For now this is how he's looking and I hope he recovers

Saltwater/Brackish Black Molly is being picked on by tankmates
I’ve noticed a tear in the fin, looks like bullying to me. He’s a small little male who looks frail compared to the two big fat females, seems they won’t let him eat. I’ve stuck him in fish jail for the moment to separate them and to fatten him up, do you think he’ll be okay in here for a while? Thanks

Advice Needed Taking in a goldfish with almost no notice
Ive only ever owned a betta fish. I have a water heater, air pump, and a water filter left over. As well as a 10-15 gallon tank. I understand that goldfish can live long long lives and grow very big. I dont have much money at all, I just turned 17 today. I dont drive, im not im school, and I dont have a job. I genuinely am just panicking and I need advice. I have some support from my mother but not much. My family isnt very well off. If you all know anything I need for a goldfish in particular please let me know. What substrate can I use? What plants? Do I need a specific kind of water? How can I quickly prep the tank. Im hopefully going to get the fish tomorrow. He is currently just sitting in a container with a lid on it on the kitchen counter at my mother's house. I know i cant provide the best or most perfect home for him, but its better than what he has going on now. Im hoping to get him as soon as I can. Please give me advice on how to set up the tank as quickly but as safely as I can.

Caught this on video of my new foot-long Zebrina Pike patiently waiting for my Oscar tank boss named George to finish pigging out before getting some food herself. Did not expect her to be this chill at her size but I'm loving her!

Advice Needed I don't understand how to level my tank
My tank is double leaning and where I need to shim makes absolutely no sense. When I had water in the tank the front water level was higher than the back and when I use a bubble level it goes towards the wall. I looked it up and it said to shim the back and it didn't work so I shimed the front and it worked but online it says it's wrong but because I did the corners on the front and the left side there's no room to level left to right. Also the Bubble level goes right on left to right so I shim the right side and that didn't work. I don't understand leveling and I'm running out of time because I need to get my fish back in

Discussion Did I score?
Put up an ad on fb marketplace looking for a new saltwater tank to jump into that side of the hobby since I have a few planted freshwater tanks and got answered by an older gentleman within 30mins for a 50 gal AIO acrylic tank (not leaking had water in it when I picked it up) stand, lights, pumps, wave makers, skimmer, controllers, media ect ect. I think it’s literally everything besides the substrate, fish, and food all for 85$ on easily $1000+ worth of equipment that all works from my testing so far. Obviously the tank needs cleaning but it’s in great shape, the stand could use some paint but it’s also in good shape no visible bowing as I could tell, and so is all the equipment besides a quick cleaning was a really cool guy a super knowledgeable had 15-20 full planted and cichlid tanks inside his home I wonder why he was giving up on this one 🤯

Discussion I have babies! I repeat: I. HAVE. BABIES!!!!
I don't have a picture because they were found while tearing the tank down, but my tequila goodeid dropped her fry a few weeks ago. I looked and looked and never saw them, so I assumed they got eaten.
Tonight while tearing down my 75, we found FIVE babies!!!! I am SO EXCITED!!!
