Medical Questions New rescue kitten. Gave him a dewormer and a few days later he pooped out a dead one. NSFW
gallery4 month old kitten, based in the UK. All vaccinated and had a vet check up last week, they gave him a dewormer and we found this in his litter tray a few days later. Quite dead. About 10cm long spaghetti shaped. Looks like roundworm which the dewormer does cover.
Kitten appears happy and healthy and active with a good appetite. No sickness or diarrhea, no swollen belly or other apparent issues.
I’m assuming the dewormer has done its job and there’s no immediate concern?
Will email the vet later but unsure what their response time is.

Cat Picture - OC Permanent flower child
My cat scratched her eye a couple months ago (first picture you can see the small corneal laceration.)
Took her to the vet after I noticed she wasn’t opening her eye. Vet told us this heals on its own but gave us eye drops, eye gel, & some oral antibiotics to help the healing process & recommended a cone so she doesn’t touch/injure her eye further.
After going through 2 rounds of the eye & oral medicine and 3 vet visits, they said while it’s not infected, the scratch didn’t seem to be healing, but there was realistically nothing more they could do to help.
So basically she is now a permanent flower cone pillow child. Well, until it heals or I can afford possible unnecessary surgery. (Vet said we could try surgery but since it’s not infected & not effecting her vision it isn’t exactly necessary, so it’s up to me.)
She seems to be the same old baby girl, can still see, & climb cat towers & can still fit in her litter box. Only downside is she can no longer groom herself so I have to groom her long hair daily & rub her face for her. It’s so adorable she licks the flower cone pillow while I groom coat her so she feels it’s like she’s doing it herself. And when I rub her face she licks my hand while I do it like she’s helping me groom her. Lol
I feel sad that she has had a cone on for so long, & really hope her eye magically heals soon, so she can groom herself again like the independent diva she truly is.
Please send healing wishes so my baby may be a free from her flower chain soon.

Advice 3 Week old Kittens
Hello! So I was here on a different account a few months ago asking about if my cat was pregnant. Well... Turns out you guys were right. The kittens are about 3 weeks old now.
And we haven't seen mama in over a day. So we have fed the kittens KMR and have them in a box on our porch(just in case mama returns) with a lid on it so nothing can get in or out(except air). If mama doesn't come in tomorrow, we're bringing all five of them in.
I just want guidance. Tomorrow(or next feeding), I can send you better pics of each kitten.
Can someone with experience with kittens of this age DM me with help?
For context: I'm a 19 year old mother who lives with my father, little sister(8), my fiance(19), and our son(9 months). We have 1 dog(10y/o Jack Russell), and 2 indoor cats.
And I have absolutely ZERO clue what I'm doing. All 5 kittens look healthy, and come running to my fiance or I when we go out.
Any and all help is welcome. However, we refuse to let nature take its course or bring them to a rescue or anything like that.

Cat Picture - OC My baby is three today
My sweet baby boy Muffin just turned three today <3
We had a major scare last month when he had a complete urinary obstruction. He was diagnosed with Feline ldiopathic Cystitis. I was so scared he wasn't going to make it, but our vet was amazing and took great care of him and now he's back to his old self. This is his happiest birthday yet, and I hope he'll have many many more to come.
Tldr: spoil them always, but especially on their birthdays, make them the cake 🍰

Medical Questions Whitening around eye?
It's maybe been a little over a month since my boy's hair has started turning white around one of his eyes. I'm wondering if it's something i need to be concerned about. He's about 4 and a half years old. I noticed it start getting the white hairs a little while ago, but he hasn't had a single change ive noticed in his behavior that'd indicate to me somethings wrong- as well as there's no difference in temperature on either side of his face when i feel it. I really hope this is just aging maybe...? He freaks out getting into a carrier SO bad i almost think he'd need medication to chill out just to be brought to the vet- he panics and goes so crazy i worry he'll hurt himself in the event we need to take him to the vet.

Medical Questions My cat wont eat for 2 days
I have a street cat for over 14 years back home, and my mom wrote me today she would not eat for 2 days. She asks for food, but then has a gag reflex and wont eat it. She also spent most of her time sleeping at home. She is already almost deaf, but normally quite full of energy given her age. Now the winter is coming to europe, it might be her time to go.... She is also coughing this year more than normal. The problem is that my parents are leaving tomorrow for a couple of days and neighbours could come to feed her but this situation is just unfortunate. They go to ask vet today, but any thoughts are appreciated.

Medical Questions What’s this red spot on my cat’s back?
I adopted her about a month ago and she’s 1 year old. I just noticed this red bump on her back and there’s nothing similar around it. It doesn’t seem painful because she doesn’t mind if I touch it. Thanks!

Medical Questions Urinary Tract Blockage
hello. I woke up this morning and Shadow made it a point to use this cap box while I was standing there and I noticed that he barely went. And then again about an hour later he did the same thing.
unfortunately I'm unemployed right now and I've spent the day exhausting every possible avenue to get him help But it looks like I may have to choose end-of-life services.
I'm having a hard time knowing what to do. I've kept an eye on him all day and he's behaving like he normally does, eating fine, drinking water fine, playing fine. I haven't seen him attempt to use the bathroom since and it's been 13 hours. he's not showing any signs of discomfort.
I obviously don't want to jump the gun in case he's not as bad off as I worry he is but I also don't want to miss the opportunity, for lack of a better word, to take advantage of end-of-life services tomorrow, it won't be for another couple of days until I can again and I don't want him to suffer.
any advice is appreciated. thank you.
