For the past few days, my little dog Copito has been trying to vomit after eating; I tried changing her food, but I didn't see any improvement. She seems very lethargic and clearly unwell, so I decided to take her to the vet to see if it might be a stomach issue. To be honest, though, I only have $20 left in my bank account, and the cost of the vet visit alone exceeds that amount. I spoke briefly with the vet on the phone, and the consultation fee is $28; depending on the diagnosis, I might also need to buy soft food for Copito. I don't know the cost of soft food since I've never had to buy it before, but I hope or at least assume it isn't too expensive. I usually buy her regular food for just under $23, so I imagine the soft food costs something similar. Even using the money I have in the bank which I know isn't much I’m still short by $31, which is money I simply don't have right now.

My mom passed unexpectedly last year in Portugal. I’ve been trying like crazy to save enough to get her ashes and a few personal belongings back, and take them to her home country of Chile for a memorial.

Because of 4 surgeries and subsequent physical therapy limiting the number of hours I can work, I’ve only been able to make enough for my own expenses.

We recently had some emergency expenses come up medical bills and having to get a new car after ours got totalled and until next Friday, we have very little to live on.

I have been struggling with debilitating symptoms of PTSD and depression. Cooking has been so overwhelming for me, even though I usually enjoy it, that I sometimes just don't eat. I also have fibromyalgia and have been flaring up big time since I got the flu. I am currently job searching, but my husband works, so we should be able to catch up in a few weeks. I’m a Massachusetts dad of four kids under 8 years old, balancing a full-time career, running a lawn improvement side hustle, raising my kids, volunteering as Treasurer for a local autism non-profit and tackling just about every DIY project I can get my hands on.

One of my sons has autism, he is level 3 non-verbal autistic, and being a dad has taught me more about patience, perspective, and what really matters than anything else in my life.

Hello! This is my 2nd post here, Char Char has made it to the Quarterfinal Round , he is in 4th place but needs to be in the top two to progress on.

I’m asking for votes for my sweet boy, Char Char! I rescued him outside in the middle of winter in 2019 and he’s struggled with allergies for most of his life. The past 2-3 years it has been getting slowly worse and this year has been especially difficult, with ongoing respiratory, sinus, and immune system issues. He’s been to the emergency vet 3 times and our regular vet 7–10 times for testing, but we still don’t have answers.

(Most recent health updates, we did another test this week and one of them take back positive. Lucky its not cat herpes/hiv or anything like that. So he is now on a 20 day course of antibiotics but they vet still wants to do sinus xrays as well as start him on a special prescription food to see if his immune system improves to help stop the contant sickness, so we will be able to see what other testing may need done)

Our cat son, Charlie, is about to go through his 3rd surgery this year due to intestinal blockage from eating inedible items (likely caused by Pica).

We are still underwater from the $12K vet bill of his previous 2 surgeries, causing our pet insurance to be maxed out for the year.

Charlie desperately needs this 3rd surgery to continue living the happy and healthy life he deserves especially since he’s still so young and is only turning 2 years old next month.

Good evening. Two wks ago i found out that i have a level 4 cat allergy. This has devastated me and my family because weve always loved cats. But from 2015-2026 ive had one who passed in 2020; so i adopted my now cat in 2021.

I began having breathing issues etc but never put it together until now. I saw an allergist and it was confirmed. My symptoms are very bad and i now have severe allergic asthma. A trusted family friend is taking her so she will be loved and cared for. 💕

At the moment the carrier we had is now too small for her to endure the hour drive. Im between jobs and cannot afford to purchase one for her. My friend will be here sunday to pick her up.

Hi everyone, I just got a new job and moved about two months ago, and I've been struggling with expenses during this transition time. This month has been especially difficult because on top of rent and bills I had to pay out of pocket for my doctors visit and prescriptions, as I don't receive health insurance for another month.

Hey all. I really don't wanna go out to people and practically beg for money, but this is an urgent situation that I alone am not able to cover. My beloved chihuahua Chica has had a hernia developing for about a year, and me and my family has struggled to hold enough money to pay for the estimated $1,100 surgery due to us being low income. Our sweet fur baby, Nia, has been our constant companion for 15 wonderful years. She has brought so much love, comfort, and joy into our lives, and now we want to do everything we can to keep her comfortable and healthy in her senior years.

Nia has been diagnosed with a heart murmur. To safely address her health, her veterinarian needs to perform a chest X-ray to check her heart size and evaluate her lungs. Additionally, she is suffering from dental disease and requires urgent dental work to relieve her pain. We were told, she has a tooth that is being absorbed by her gum, and also 2 other teeth with a lot of work needed. Because Nia has a heart murmur, her dental procedure requires specialized care and monitoring under anesthesia, which has significantly increased the veterinary costs.

I am a teacher caring for my mother who has both physical and mental health issues. Between rising food costs, rent, a couple of car issues, and medical bills (including bills for a minor surgery I had earlier this year), we are really struggling. While my mother should qualify for government assistance based on her needs and issues, she has been denied multiple times. We are currently trying to fight through the system, but it is slow-going and incredibly frustrating. This is to help us make it to my next paycheck on the 31st.

I have two cats, and my mom came with two cats when she moved in with me. Of the four, two are seniors and two are middle-aged, hence the two kinds of food. The seniors are unfortunately very picky and won’t really eat anything without the Hartz toppers. The most important things on the Amazon list are the cat food because them being fed and happy is most important to me.

I have also included snacks that are easy for my mother to make when I’m not home (Mac and cheese, cereal, peanut butter and crackers, meat sticks), along with some protein shakes and bars for myself because those keep me full and make it easier to skip meals. I’m reaching out because I don’t know where else to turn for our sweet girl, Loopster, or “Loopy.”

Loopy is honestly the sun personified, or dogified. Somehow, she manages to be both the most chaotic and the sweetest dog I’ve ever met. If someone robbed our house, she would probably just sit there and ask for pets. Anyone who has met her would say the same, except perhaps my cat. Though, to be fair, they’re more like siblings who fight than actual enemies.

I’ve never had a day with Loopy where I wasn’t either terribly impressed or greatly disappointed by something she’d done, because she has dug through one too many rubbish bins. Which is why I was absolutely devastated when we learned she had an aggressive cancerous tumour.

We spent money we didn’t really have on her first surgery, but no matter the cost, I would never have made any other choice. Because the tumour was in a sensitive area near her bottom, we knew she might struggle with incontinence for a few days. It wasn’t glamorous for poor Loopy, but, as she always does, she never complained. I have never once heard her whimper.

Unfortunately, things did not improve. In fact, they got worse. She physically cannot hold in her faeces, and it has been smearing wherever she walks and all over herself. Even without being an expert, I know this must be incredibly uncomfortable for her.

Today, we took her back to the vet for a check-up and to have everything cleaned safely. As we feared, this is not normal and needs to be fixed urgently. Something inside was not stitched back together properly and has collapsed, causing faeces to leak continuously.

So now, after already spending so much on her first surgery, we are back at square one trying to find even more money to help her. If my heart doesn’t break seeing such a good girl in this state, it shatters when I realise I don’t know where to find the money to pay for the repair surgery.
