Politics/রাজনীতি The way BD parties can stay relevant despite committing treason and gen*cide paints a cynical and l*wless picture of BD politics
Jamaat directly participated in the 1971 gen*cide and betrayed their own countrymen, all while showing zero remorse even today. And yet they quickly returned to relevance barely 4-5 years later.
BAL goons m*rdered and m*imed literally thousands of innocents in 2024 (not to mention how they had basically sold the country to India just to stay in power), and also shows zero guilt or remorse. And yet they started regaining their public support almost immediately after Hasina ran away from the country into her bf's arms.
Most people would argue that "it's because later governments screwed up big time", but I call bs on that.
Even though Yunus or BNP are incompetent and c"rrupt morons, even though Mujib caused a f"mine and created BAKSAL right after 1971, those do not change what happened in 1971 or 2024. Both BAL and Jamaat still have the bl""d of real people on their hands.
No matter how evil or *ppressive the present is, it still doesn't invalidate the past. That's like saying the Hol"caust is fake because the Soviets also committed g"nocide afterwards.
And the way people will still support them (while demanding zero accountability in return) really highlights how ethics and integrity have no place in Bangladeshi politics.
