I'm Bangal, and have to had to constantly explain people in Mumbai that I'm not Bangladeshi! People here don't even know that there was a partition in 1947 in Bengal too. I've had to constantly lie about being a proper native of West Bengal as whenever I tried to explain that my great-grandparents are from Dhaka before 1947, they start calling me Bangladeshi. They think Bangladeshi culture is different to Bengali culture somehow 😭😭😭

I’m constantly stressed out and don’t know what to do. It has been a huge headache. I’ve even lost friends because they think I’m Bangladeshi citizen for some reason. I feel sad and depressed. Have other Bangals also faced similar issues while staying outside West Bengal, because I can't be the only one going through this 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Bengalis have had central positions in all previous struggles that India had seen both pre and post Independence. She will make sure that Bengalis have their stake in the new India that will be born soon from the remains of the RSS-BJP.

Given that West Bengal is very small in size, how will it even compete with larger states like Karnataka or Maharashtra given that they have coastline, trade opportunities, good development prospects, etc.

Because a larger native land = more people, more development.

How will West Bengal have any chance to be on top when its physical features limit it?

Do you think this is a genuine concern? I mean in the very far future when every inch of land is used, there will be far more humans in many other states.

Also, West Bengal's soil makes it tougher for builders to build very tall building so there is a cap on that too.

Recently, I have been watching the old Zee Bangla serial Boyei Gelo all night. The change of the heroine after episode number 255 is making me suffer from the fire of separation. I am feeling so sad. I will miss Birsha's mischief a lot in the serial. Is there any serial that will slowly help me get over the sadness of Boyei Gelo? Or one that will be as entertaining as this one? Please recommend one.

Hi everyone,

Today, I tried to withdraw ₹10,000 from a Canara Bank ATM in Nabapally, Barasat, West Bengal. My bank account is with Bank of India, Champdani Branch.

After inserting my ATM card, entering my PIN, and selecting the withdrawal amount, the electricity suddenly went off just as the ATM was about to dispense the cash. When the power came back, the ATM had reset, and I received no cash.

However, ₹10,000 was deducted from my Bank of India account. I also haven't received any SMS regarding the transaction.

I'm planning to submit a failed ATM transaction/chargeback claim form at my home branch.

I have a few questions:

1. Will the ₹10,000 be automatically refunded, or do I need to file a complaint immediately?

2. Should I submit the complaint to Bank of India, Canara Bank, or both?

3. How long does the refund usually take?

4. The claim form asks for the ATM ID. How can I find the correct ATM ID?

5. Is there anything else I should attach to the complaint?

If anyone has experienced a similar situation, please share how you resolved it.
