Back in July, MLB shop accidentally listed the sales price for Frank Thomas’s white home jersey at 3.99 instead of $93.99.

Suffice it to say I bought 14 of them, although in my excitement I only ordered mediums (S,M,&3XL were the only sizes available). Now I’ve got a box full of medium Frank Thomas jerseys sitting in my room.

I’ve since realized I don’t have the entrepreneurial spirit to flip all these jerseys online. What do you all think I should do with them? Should I post up outside Sox & 35th or is there a good charity that I could donate them to?

Gen X here, so I'm not some fucking moron. I know how to do shit, mostly drinking related but still. My Samsung 2017 tv can't download CHSN and wth Comcast, over $100 for the tv package that has CHSN and even though I could bundle the internet and the cable package I'd be close to $160 a month with Comcast. Directv, wth? about $100 for the smallest package that has CHSN. Even on the Samsung TV going to web browser getting to CHSN.com was slow AF and didn't load anyway. I understand that greed and the evil Comcast got us to this point but how can I even watch the games without jumping through a thousand hoops of fire while rotating my body 360 degrees and dissecting a frog whose wearing tiny sunglasses in the backseat of a Mini Cooper driven in the rain at night by Tiger Woods after he swears he knows what he's doing. That would be easier than figuring out how to watch the Chicago White Sox.

I'm 18, from Jamaica, and I've never watched baseball. Still, I decided to support the White Sox the other day after seeing how bad we are.

I neglected to mention that I'm permanently committed to the White Sox. I started supporting them this year because of how cool the name sounds. The team will be supported by my future children and their children. What are we called, by the way? Which team do we hate? What is the slogan?

Was in town for the game last Friday against Detroit, which was fun even though the Sox lost that night. I feel like it's a pattern for me at this point for teams I see in person to end up losing, at least this season. Anyway!

I'm a west coast dude so I can't go to nearly as many Sox games as I'd like. Got to finally get hats from the ballpark because I hate just getting them from Lids if I can help it, makes it more meaningful that it's from a stadium visit. Grabbed a city connect and a regular black hat. Notice anything funny about the black hat?

Just mostly wanted to post the funny find I got and see if anyone else ever ran into this, especially at the ballpark stores, but in general too. I've seen them posted over on another subreddit once or twice, an MLB hat with NBA on the back. Love it all the same despite the manufacturing flub, already been wearing it a lot!

Either way, super stoked for the postseason, and definitely looking forward to coming back for more games next season since I don't have playoff-ticket money.

Jacob Gonzalez was brought up to replace Mune at first. Mune should be back soon (I'm guessing this Friday). So I would assume Gonzalez will be the odd man out then? If that's the case, I think he's done a very good job for a rookie. Respectable B.A., decent OBP, decent power and excellent run production.

We saw TA get his flowers last night. Don’t think we ever see the same for Jose? Will he get a jersey retirement? Jose meant way too much to the team for a decade for him not to have any recognition. So what does he get?

We do not know that much about baseball, so it would actually be great to sit with some Sox fans who can explain the game a bit and give us the proper Chicago baseball experience.

I'm doing a video project on every MLB franchises most hated player. Just note I want to stray away from recency bias, but dont let that discourage you from picking active players if warranted. I'm looking for the White Sox player who was the most hated by the fanbase. This could either be due to incendiary comments made by the player, failure to live up to a lofty contract, being the face of a particularly dark period in White Sox history, or just being a known clubhouse cancer.

Kind of off topic but always wondered. When I was a kid the Sox were on channel 44. The Sox batter logo looks like a 4 so I always thought it was created for this partnership. Was the batter logo created for/with channel 44 or did it exist before? Thanks! (Yes, I'm old)

everyone keeps saying how the cell was the last baseball stadium of its era in 1991 before camden yards supposedly ushered in the new era in 1992, but i don't really get what the big deal about camden yards is or how it's allegedly so much better than the cell. this is regardless of the conversation about moving to the south loop.

I remember him being a pretty good young arm on the 2020-2022 Astros. Then i didnt hear his name again until we got him off waivers a month ago. I checked his stats and it looked like he went into quite an abrupt tailspin in 2023 and has sucked since. Then out of nowhere he shuts down an incredibly potent Cubs offense today.

So what’s the deal? Was today pure luck? Did we fix him? What went wrong for him in the first place? What can we expect going forward?

But I heard about lockout often, and I'm little a worried. Should I give up on going to Chicago next year and wait until the year after?
And is it okay for a woman to go to a game alone? Should I not go night game?

Are there any good diners in Chicago? I love american diners like in the old movies!
