How do you post your old books when they dont have an ISBN? It wont even let me bypass it and I have to put them in weird categories like "coffee table decor" or "kids room"
Sold a kids Halloween costume, bought on vinted but my son never wore it so put it back on vinted 2 years later..... I noticed a small hole on the knee so pictured it and sold for more then half for what I bought it for just so some other kid can enjoy it. First time I have ever had a not OK!! There is a snip in the back of the costume (I never done a picture of the back of it as there was no relevance at the time for the costume.) The receiver has obviously CUT open the package and caught it and now they want to get it for free??? It's £2! I have straight away requested a return for the refund, right thing to do?
This is why I love vinted. Saw this jacket while out shopping last weekend and nearly dropped £129 on it. Went home and thought il have a look on vinted. Same jacket £15.
The parcel was damaged during transportation, and Vinted informed me that the buyer reported it had arrived empty.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that Vinted has blamed my packaging and refused to compensate me.
Here is how I packaged the item:
● The graded slab was placed inside a black padded envelope.
● I added approximately 50 g or more of black shredded paper to cushion the contents and help prevent movement.
● I used a rigid cardboard box, securely sealed with tape.
● I placed the entire box inside an additional plastic shipping bag for extra protection.
Despite these precautions, my parcel sustained significant damage. Looking at the photographs, I struggle to understand how the slab itself could have caused such a large, irregular opening in the packaging. I am concerned that the parcel may have been forcibly opened during transportation.
Vinted has repeatedly told me that its decision is final and that my packaging was insufficient. However, I do not believe the available evidence has adequately established what happened to my parcel or why I should be held responsible for the loss.
€265 is a lot of money to me. I depend on the money I receive from my sales, and losing this amount while also being denied compensation is extremely frustrating.
I purchased a corset and hadn't heard anything for a couple of days so I reached out to the seller who told me that she had posted it and it's on it's way to me.
I got an email yesterday saying that I was getting a refund and my order had been cancelled because the seller never shipped it. I reached out again and she told me that someone else had ALSO purchased it and she had sent it to her instead.
What are the chances of this happening? I've never really used vinted before this and the brand of clothing is discontinued so I'm quite annoyed and upset by this.
I messaged a seller about when they will post to know when I can expect the package bc it was getting close to the last day. They didn't get back to me. Idk if they'll post or not but it's happened way too much that someone waits until the last day to inform me that they can't ship bc they don't have the item or can't find it. Idk if that's the case here but I don't see why the seller wouldn't get back to me. I don't even mind if they leave it up to the last day, or if they don't have the item, but just say so.
So I ordered an Xbox Series S from an account with 5 stars. I thought it was just a bit stained, the description said “used”, and the price was good so I bought it.
Once the package arrived I’m hit with a strong smell of cigarettes and small bug? Roach? carcasses (please let these not be roaches)
I immediately bagged it up and disposed of it just to prevent an infestation at home.
What do I do in this situation? What are my options?
They would have been £14 all together, they offered £10. I counter offered £12 then they offered £11 so I accepted. Maybe I shouldn’t have done because I then received these messages. They didn't want to take it up with Vinted, admitted it was their fault... then left me 3 stars because they weren't happy with the size. I’m not sure what more they wanted me to do.
I don't usually post things like this. I've never written a public complaint about a company before. But I'm really disappointed in how Vinted has handled this, and I'd feel bad if someone else went through the same thing without a warning.
At the end of September I signed up for Vinted to pick up a few used LEGO sets. I only bought, never sold, and paid for everything through Vinted's checkout, the way you're supposed to.
Two of my orders, a Ninjago City Gardens and an Ideas Sesame Street set from two different sellers, never shipped. A label was created for each one, and the tracking never moved. I was told to wait 21 days before I could ask for a refund, so I waited.
Then Vinted permanently banned my account for "fraudulent activity."
I honestly still don't understand it. I was the one who didn't receive anything. I was the one waiting for my money.
I wrote a polite, detailed appeal. The answer was a template saying I violated the Terms and Conditions, with a link to the entire terms document and nothing specific. I asked again: what rule did I break, and how do I get refunded for the two orders that never came? I got almost the exact same template back, with no mention of my refund. My last message got an automated reply.
I'm not writing this to rant. I get that a marketplace has to fight fraud, and maybe something got flagged by mistake. What disappoints me is that nobody will look at it and give me a real answer, not even about my own money.
If you buy on Vinted:
- Screenshot your orders, tracking, and messages as you go. If your account is locked, you lose access to all of it.
- Be wary if a label is created but tracking never moves.
- Know that support may not engage with you if something goes wrong.
Has anyone else had this happen? I'd really like to know if I'm the only one.
@Vinted, I'd still welcome a real conversation about this.
I'm a relatively new seller, have been enjoying decluttering but noticed my views on listings have gone down after my first few weeks, and I'm wondering if I should adjust my listing price strategy. I think my photos and descriptions are good, and typically accept Vinted suggested price - would it be better to list higher and pay to bump? I'm not looking to make a huge profit, just get rid of items.
one of my buyers wants a refund in return for sending the item back to me but i’m not able to even start the refund process bc vinted isn’t allowing me to press the ‘choose resolution’ button and shows this when i do
what do i do?? i only have 48 hours to resolve this and get my item back and 24 have already gone
i’ve attempted to contact vinted several times but im just getting the same automated responses ://///
i really don’t want to lose my item in return for no money at all
I am usually REALLY thorough with my photos, so I am actually in shock. I sell almost exclusively black clothes regularly with no issues, buyers happy, etc. Is there any way I can contact Vinted about this? The little conversation doesn’t give me an option to reply. How could I possibly take better photos of this jacket, genuinely?
Heya! I am selling my second item (which is like 300 euros) on vinted, and i got it sold, the buyer doesnt respond to my messages though and thats a tad bit concerning. i packaged the item securely, even recording the whole process, and taking lots of photos. i am still worried something bad might happen during shipment, or when the buyer receives the item, he will scam me or something. are there any types of scams the buyer can throw at me even when i showed the device working, the package procedure and included a whole essay on the description detailing problems and stuff? (its the rog ally, i even showed the bios). i did sell a meta quest 2 before and it went smoothly, but still. im pretty worried. hes polish tho so maybe he is chill
I just started selling on Vinted a week ago and have shipped out 30+ packages since I started, but now, no one is even favoriting anything I have listed (& I’m listing new things daily, even if it’s just 2-3 things).
Am I doing something wrong or do I just need to try putting my username on socials orrrr? How do I keep getting into buyers’ algorithms? Any advice appreciated! :)
I'm looking for advice on how to resolve a dispute with Vinted and hopefully recover €265 that I have lost following a damaged delivery. My Graded slab was STOLEN during transit.
I sold a graded Pokémon card for €265. The parcel was damaged during transit, and the delivery company subsequently informed me that it was damaged and would not be redelivered.
Vinted cancelled the transaction, refunded the buyer and refused to compensate me, claiming that my packaging was insufficient. I've appealed several times, but support keeps telling me that the decision is final.
The part I strongly disagree with is their claim that I didn't package the item properly.
This is how I packaged the slab:
I placed the graded slab inside a black padded envelope.
I put the padded envelope inside a cardboard box.
I added approximately 50 g or more of black shredded paper inside the box to cushion the contents and help prevent movement.
I securely sealed the cardboard box with tape.
I placed the entire box inside an additional plastic shipping bag for extra protection.
I also have video evidence showing how I packaged the item before dispatch.
Despite this, Vinted claims that the packaging was insufficient. They have referred to requirements such as a heavy-duty corrugated box, reinforced tape along the seams and internal immobilisation, but I have asked them to identify the exact published policy that requires this specific packaging procedure for graded Pokémon slabs.
The photographs of the damaged parcel show significant tearing and damage to the cardboard box. I understand that packaging can always be improved, but I don't believe the damage alone proves that I packaged the item incorrectly.
I've also provided evidence from the delivery company confirming the damage, but Vinted continues to refuse compensation.
€265 is a lot of money to me, and I genuinely depend on the money I receive from my sales. I don't think it's fair to lose this amount without a proper assessment of the evidence.
I'm now looking at submitting a formal complaint in Portugal and exploring other ways to dispute the decision.
I'd really appreciate advice from anyone who has experienced something similar.
Has anyone successfully appealed a Vinted decision involving a damaged parcel and received compensation?
Is there a specific Vinted policy requiring a particular packaging method for graded cards or slabs?
Has anyone escalated a dispute through the Portuguese Livro de Reclamações or another formal complaints process and had a positive outcome?
Is there another route I can take to recover the €265 if Vinted refuses to reconsider?
Would you recommend pursuing the delivery company as well?
I can provide photographs of the damaged parcel and evidence of the packaging if needed.
I'm not looking to cause trouble; I just want to understand my options and recover money that I believe I should not have lost.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer useful advice.
I don’t know why people think shipping a hat like this is a good idea, because it almost always leads to damage. Either the front gets crushed or the brim gets bent out of shape. Sometimes it’s possible to fix with enough time, effort, and steam, especially with modern hats that have plastic brims. But today I received a vintage hat with a cardboard brim, and it’s completely broken.
This is the third hat I’ve purchased that has been ruined because it was shipped improperly. Simply shipping it in a box would have prevented this damage. It’s frustrating and completely avoidable.
Hi guys, ive came across my first issue as a buyer where i feel like the item wasnt described properly. The issues are that the trousers were described as wide leg (in the title & category) however they are actually fitted on my thighs and are only flared (imo this is not wide-legged). Also was listed as 'very good' and 'perfect condition' was in the caption however the belt with the trousers is peeling (leather belt). The item was 5 quid which came to over 8 quid with fees. The seller is offering me a £1 refund (and wont do more) however i would like more as i wouldnt have bought the item otherwise. My issue is i dont want to pay to return the item as im losing money. If i decline the £1 is there anyway i can refuse returning the item if the seller chooses this or do i just have to accept not getting a refund. Many thanks
