It’s straight up not worth the poly mailer or the effort to pack something up. Honestly it’s probably not worth it for under $5, but these offers where they take CENTS off drive me bonkers. I’ll donate it or give it away for free before I sell it under $2.
As you can see in pics. Sold a red skirt. Buyer requesting a refund since it pink and not red.
I did request for them to return in its original condition. I feel like a scam was about to happen. It is clearly red. She was rude in the chat “duh it is pink” . I could’ve told her to keep it since it is only 5 dollars but it was just the principal that I mad about it.
Hiyya! This seller requested to extend the delivery date last week. I agreed because I don’t mind waiting for this lovely hoodie. But now the seller asked me to purchase the hoodie again after it gets cancelled. I’m worried of a potential scam, yes it’s only £11 but money is money. Also, this seller has a 4.8 stars rating. Should I proceed or just cancel the whole thing? Thoughts?
Most of the time people manage to take decent pics of their items but every now and then there will be one person holding something up with thee dirtiest grottiest fingernails in shot.
I completely understand that some people work with their hands all day or may be prone to staining from whatever they do but you can tell that some folk are just dirty and no doubt their belongings are too.
Do people have internet access and no soap and water these days? What’s going on?
If you see an item that is currently retailing for $850..and it’s in good condition & marked $150… it’s a bit weird to offer $46.. especially after you’ve told me you know what it is currently selling for.
I don’t know if I should price ridiculously high and expect extreme haggling.. or stand firm on what I know is a great price?!?
More and more I’m listing on other sites that don’t seem like a scammy yard sale.
I'm looking for advice on how to resolve a dispute with Vinted and hopefully recover €265 that I have lost following a damaged delivery. My Graded slab was STOLEN during transit.
I sold a graded Pokémon card for €265. The parcel was damaged during transit, and the delivery company subsequently informed me that it was damaged and would not be redelivered.
Vinted cancelled the transaction, refunded the buyer and refused to compensate me, claiming that my packaging was insufficient. I've appealed several times, but support keeps telling me that the decision is final.
The part I strongly disagree with is their claim that I didn't package the item properly.
This is how I packaged the slab:
I placed the graded slab inside a black padded envelope.
I put the padded envelope inside a cardboard box.
I added approximately 50 g or more of black shredded paper inside the box to cushion the contents and help prevent movement.
I securely sealed the cardboard box with tape.
I placed the entire box inside an additional plastic shipping bag for extra protection.
I also have video evidence showing how I packaged the item before dispatch.
Despite this, Vinted claims that the packaging was insufficient. They have referred to requirements such as a heavy-duty corrugated box, reinforced tape along the seams and internal immobilisation, but I have asked them to identify the exact published policy that requires this specific packaging procedure for graded Pokémon slabs.
The photographs of the damaged parcel show significant tearing and damage to the cardboard box. I understand that packaging can always be improved, but I don't believe the damage alone proves that I packaged the item incorrectly.
I've also provided evidence from the delivery company confirming the damage, but Vinted continues to refuse compensation.
€265 is a lot of money to me, and I genuinely depend on the money I receive from my sales. I don't think it's fair to lose this amount without a proper assessment of the evidence.
I'm now looking at submitting a formal complaint in Portugal and exploring other ways to dispute the decision.
I'd really appreciate advice from anyone who has experienced something similar.
Has anyone successfully appealed a Vinted decision involving a damaged parcel and received compensation?
Is there a specific Vinted policy requiring a particular packaging method for graded cards or slabs?
Has anyone escalated a dispute through the Portuguese Livro de Reclamações or another formal complaints process and had a positive outcome?
Is there another route I can take to recover the €265 if Vinted refuses to reconsider?
Would you recommend pursuing the delivery company as well?
I can provide photographs of the damaged parcel and evidence of the packaging if needed.
I'm not looking to cause trouble; I just want to understand my options and recover money that I believe I should not have lost.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can offer useful advice.
They literally said a thank you message for purchasing it before 😭 i shouldn't be so pressed, but this item would have been a perfect gift which would have arrived pretty much on time 😔🤧
Edit: this shit is like an unlock requirement 😭 "I won't sell to customers without any reviews" holy target market but understandable 😔 I said I'm willing to still buy it if they are willing to trust me. Their product and choice. 🗣
So I ordered an Xbox Series S from an account with 5 stars. I thought it was just a bit stained, the description said “used”, and the price was good so I bought it.
Once the package arrived I’m hit with a strong smell of cigarettes and small bug? Roach? carcasses (please let these not be roaches)
I immediately bagged it up and disposed of it just to prevent an infestation at home.
What do I do in this situation? What are my options?
I don’t know why people think shipping a hat like this is a good idea, because it almost always leads to damage. Either the front gets crushed or the brim gets bent out of shape. Sometimes it’s possible to fix with enough time, effort, and steam, especially with modern hats that have plastic brims. But today I received a vintage hat with a cardboard brim, and it’s completely broken.
This is the third hat I’ve purchased that has been ruined because it was shipped improperly. Simply shipping it in a box would have prevented this damage. It’s frustrating and completely avoidable.
The parcel was damaged during transportation, and Vinted informed me that the buyer reported it had arrived empty.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that Vinted has blamed my packaging and refused to compensate me.
Here is how I packaged the item:
● The graded slab was placed inside a black padded envelope.
● I added approximately 50 g or more of black shredded paper to cushion the contents and help prevent movement.
● I used a rigid cardboard box, securely sealed with tape.
● I placed the entire box inside an additional plastic shipping bag for extra protection.
Despite these precautions, my parcel sustained significant damage. Looking at the photographs, I struggle to understand how the slab itself could have caused such a large, irregular opening in the packaging. I am concerned that the parcel may have been forcibly opened during transportation.
Vinted has repeatedly told me that its decision is final and that my packaging was insufficient. However, I do not believe the available evidence has adequately established what happened to my parcel or why I should be held responsible for the loss.
€265 is a lot of money to me. I depend on the money I receive from my sales, and losing this amount while also being denied compensation is extremely frustrating.
Anyone living abroad used Vinted to send packages? I’ve heard some Brits are using Vinted to have clothes sent from home. What is the postage like compared to just using the post office?
I'm a relatively new seller, have been enjoying decluttering but noticed my views on listings have gone down after my first few weeks, and I'm wondering if I should adjust my listing price strategy. I think my photos and descriptions are good, and typically accept Vinted suggested price - would it be better to list higher and pay to bump? I'm not looking to make a huge profit, just get rid of items.
Is there a way to check what states are currently supported by Vinted cross border shipping from UK to US? I’ve read access may be intermittent but can’t find anywhere that gives recent information on what is currently accepted
Hi everyone!
I initially created a Vinted account and made a few purchases. However, I later wanted to change my email address, which wasn’t possible, so I created a second account.
I ended up verifying my identity on both accounts using the same ID, and both verifications were successful. I genuinely didn’t know that having multiple accounts was against Vinted’s rules until afterwards.
Once I found out, I immediately contacted Vinted support, explained the situation, and told them I’d be happy to delete one of the accounts. However, I still have several outstanding purchases on my first account, some of which have already been shipped, so I asked whether I could keep access to both accounts until all my orders are completed.
Now I’m really anxious that contacting support might have been a mistake and that they’ll permanently ban both of my accounts. 😭 I really don’t want to lose access to Vinted permanently, especially since I never intended to break any rules.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Did Vinted allow you to keep one account, or did they permanently ban both? Do you think contacting support was the right thing to do? And will I be able to pick up my purchases even if I get banned?
I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences!
hi guys, I sold an item to someone (i’m fairly new at Vinted) I selected drop off at the post office since someone was driving me there, long story short things changed and I started just printing my own labels and shipping from home.
I reached out to this costumer to let them know i’ll be late, or if they wanted to i’d make a new post for a new label so they could repurchase, fast foward I kind of forgot about this order since I have gotten a fair amount of sales, vinted auto reviews me w one star due to “item not sent” (I was unaware this would happen, I also didnt understand how Refunds worked) is there a way I could reach them to see if I could get that bad review removed?
It was only for some loose figures, but it was sellotaped round an Iceland carrier bag, i couldn't even leave feedback as the member was blocked after receiving my items,
Mini rant - I have a branded jacket listed for £40. Buyer asked for my best price, so I offered £36. They then told me similar jackets were selling for much less and wanted to pay £25 (having initially messaged offering £23 and deleted it).
They suggested compromising at £30, which I declined. Out of curiosity, I checked their profile and noticed they almost exclusively sell the same brand, and their prices aren’t exactly cheap either!
Feeling petty, I sent them an offer for the original £40. 😂
They then messaged saying they’d shop around as others were selling for less.
This is about the fourth time I’ve experienced this. If you can find it cheaper elsewhere, WHY NOT JUST BUY IT THAT THEN?! Why insist on negotiating for mine?
I bought a patch from a seller for around $3, they missed the shipping window. After I got my refund, they apologized and said they had a family issue and that's why they missed the window. They offered to send it to me anyway, and asked for my address to mail it. How should I handle this? They didn't ask for payment, I'm worried it's some kind of scam but over a $3 item it seems unlikely?
does anyone know any fast way to upload items? or sellers that may buy a bulk amount of clothes to resell? Or tips for organising once uploaded to ship?
I have two (large) wardrobes that the tops are just rammed with bags and boxes of clothes to resell but with a full time job and toddler I’m struggling to find the time!
So, I often add things as bundles, for example a matching rug and lamp shade. People message me asking how much to just buy the lampshade. Now obviously i need to make a new listing right? Otherwise they can complain the rug isn’t there. However, people never buy the new listing. So I no longer let them do such things. Is offering a cheaper price and letting the (for example) rug be resold easier something that is feasible. Let me know if I’m just being absurd or if this is reasonable/ relatable.
Thank you for buying from me but please dont ask to ship a package 1 milesecond after you buy it from me because you REALLY need it, even the same evening - I have a life, I need to package it also, Its not my problem if you are too lazy not to buy it at the last minute. Sure dude I will drop everything I planned to do to ship your 1€ book like Im sort of an online retailer
