Question/Help ETS2 rear camera mods show a black screen beyond a certain distance

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

I installed a rear camera mod in ETS2, but unlike the side mirrors, which let me see quite far behind me, the rear camera just shows a black screen beyond a certain distance. I had the same issue with other rear camera mods, too.

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Question/Help Game won't stop crashing despite removing all mods.

- game log

crash log

https://pastes.io/ck6ODLzl

Recently bought a used pc and at first everything was fine. Game crashed once in a blue moon but that was it. I installed a steering mod and again everything remained fine. Installed a bunch of other mods and at first it was fine, but then my game started crashing going into random towns. I was in the middle of a 2500 mile job, at at like mile 1530 I hit a town that caused endless crashes. I removed all mods, kept verifying files (I saw an error notification at one point), and even deleted the entire save file to try a new one and STILL it crashes just driving down the road of the tutorial.

I posted both logs from my most recent crash. I know nothing about files or coding, hell I barely even know anything about this pc except that it was cheap and runs ats fine (minus the crashes but idk if its hardware related).

I will note, I have 6 mods subscribed but none are active. Don't know if unsubscribing makes a difference even if they aren't active.

Discussion do you think scs will ever do a single title sort of like a global transport sim?

I've been thinking about this ever since they announced they're working on adding canada to ats and released the road trip dlc, do you think they'll ever release something like global transport sim? essentially including whatever countries are feasible given current global tensions. and instead of it just being a truck sim, also including taxis, courier gigs, and hauling stuff with a pickup and trailer. they could probably just reuse the maps for places that have already been released so far as well. it would be kinda cool to build up a global transport empire imo.

ATS What's the least worst handling car on Road Trip?

Oddly I thought I could live with the F150 (and am trying the RWD setup before going nope) but once I got out of South Dakota and doing both Atlas boards and ended up in Idaho (via. Wyoming where I ended up on my roof for the first time) the ploughing (genuinely feels worse than my 2019 Cascadia) and then snap lift off oversteer is just lethal at 65+ territory. Only mod I was using was a V8 Carnivore to get me up to Interstate cruising speed more easily (as I have jobs to do).

I'm thinking Bronco, hell no due to the high Centre of Gravity?; 67 Mustang again no - RWD and 1967 Car Geometry isn't going to be kind. The 50/50 approximate split of the Crown Victoria seems the default choice (but a little extra power wouldn't go a miss).

Alternatively what chance do you think we get a Ford Performance tuning pack at some point with better shocks and rollback? Alternatively whats coming up from other manufacturers I'm going to love more like not being US based am I going to love the Dodge Ram or the Toyota Tundra?

Discussion Is there a particular reason why multiplayer mods insist on not adding AI traffic?

What's actually stopping them from doing this? Having a majority of the map devoid of any traffic is probably the #1 reason why I choose to not switch from singleplayer, but I also want to drive with other players as well.

Shouldn't be that hard to have AI traffic in isolated regions while it decreases smoothly in player-dense regions.

Discussion Buses and Truckers MP

Post image
13 Upvotes

In the gameplay video from the developers on the interface, a circle was visible on which the passengers overloaded. And if you brake sharply or turn, passengers will rate lower.

and I thought what if there are fast people on the Truckers MP who will specially brake or cut buses so that the player earns less or gets a rating below🤔

Discussion : Developing an AI-powered co-pilot with real memory and telemetry integration for ETS2

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a passion project I’ve been working on to take cab immersion to the next level in Euro Truck Simulator 2.

I’m building an external co-pilot application powered by live game telemetry (tracking speed, fuel reserves, wipers, vehicle stress, etc.). Rather than a static GPS voice or a simple audio player, it acts as a real cabin companion with its own mood and dynamic personality.

Key features:

Real-time telemetry tracking: Reacts to cruise speed, sharp braking, low fuel warnings, weather changes, and rain.

Persistent disk memory: It logs past lines so events don't feel like a repetitive loop. Every haul plays out differently.

Spontaneous behavior: Includes casual route banter, sarcasm, situational humor, and long-haul driving stories timed naturally so you never know what card it’s going to draw next.

I’ve attached a short preview video showing how it looks and talks. I’d love to get your thoughts, feedback, or any cool situational ideas you’d love to hear from a co-pilot on long routes!

See you on the road!

It looked okay but the frame rates being that low kinda killed any desire to use DLSS 5.

Discussion My trucks never stop completely after release of accelerator pedal

As the title says ; the trucks I drive in ETS2 always keep driving at a slow speed after I release the accelerator pedal. It slows down but never fully stops.

It's not the cruise control, nor the engine brake.

I use the Logitech L29 steering wheel and pedals. But that hardware and its settings are OK, because if I drive the truck with the keyboard only, I have the same problem.

The problem persists when I use other trucks. I installed a few camera mods, I doubt that could be the cause. Disabling them did nothing about the problem.

I really want to fix it, because it's not a realistic way of driving.

I think the problem was already there when I installed the game, but I'm not sure about that.

I searched on the internet for the solution, but no-one else seems to have this problem.

Question/Help Steering wheel randomly cuts to the right or left

Recently when playing ATS, I've noticed that driving for long enough will result in my truck just deciding to turn to one side really aggressively for no apparent reason.

For example, I'll be moving along the highway, in 8th gear, hardly interacting with the wheel and not even touching my shifter, and all of the sudden, bam, the truck cuts to the left. Sometimes its to the right, sometimes its to the left. I've even taken my hands off the wheel when I notice its happening so I can verify its not from my own input.

I've noticed it also happens the exact same way in ETS2 as well. I haven't changed any settings in ETS2 yet but in ATS I reset everything to default with the sole exception of some key binds (blinkers) and re-added the input methods for my wheel and shifter. Other than that, there are no changes to the game that I can tell would cause this.

Is this just a result of the way I drive or how I'm shifting? The issue is also present at low speeds when I'm turning (my wheel will get loose and wrench to one side way too fast occasionally)
Has anyone else had this issue? Does anyone know how to solve this?

Using the Logitech G920 and driving force shifter with an Eaton Fuller 18 speed attachment on the shifter head.

Any advice is appreciated.
